I bought the Lenova Yoga 3 Pro on the recommendation of my IT rep - I travel a lot on business and my iPad just isn't a replacement for a laptop. This guy does the trick! Very light weight and portable; the ability to fold the keyboard back and use it as a tablet let's me have the full function of a laptop in the efficiency and convenience of a tablet. I carry a portable hotspot with me so I never have to worry about WiFi. As a bonus on a recent business trip, I was able to charge my phone while taking notes at a conference.... Love this laptop!

I love the Yoga 3. I use it more as a laptop than a tablet but both are equally fun.

This is a great overall machine, with just a few quibbles.
Design: You've no doubt already seen the gorgeous design, with the brushed aluminum case, fully flexible display, and jewel-like hinge. It is difficult to imagine how thin it is - it makes a MacBook Air look like it needs Weight Watchers. If you haven't see it in person, you should try. The looks alone may be enough for you to make a decision, and few would fault you for it.
Speed: No, it's not as fast as my similarly-priced Dell. But to see the difference I had to overload both machines to the point of absurdity. If you are a gamer, look elsewhere. If you are a power user who needs 40 browser tabs, 5 PowerPoint decks, streaming video, and a library of Excel workbooks all active at once, then you'll want to look away from the Core M, and particularly this detuned (for heat reduction) implementation. If you're one of the rest of us, performance is excellent.
Ergonomics: The keyboard is nice, but not as nice as a full-depth Lenovo. The problem is the limited space for key travel makes it difficult to know if you've hit the keys hard enough. The space key seems particularly touchy, requiring a firm tap with the thumb. The keys can be back-lit, which means you can find what you need even on the red-eye flight. The track pad is good as Windows track pads go, but an eraser-head would be a nice option. The machine runs cool. thanks in part to the very small and nearly silent fan.
Display: Wow. I'm not sure what else to say except, wow again.
Battery life: A disappointment. I've been getting about six hours. This is more than enough for a cross-country flight, but way below the MacBook's 16 hours. The battery life indicator is a bit flaky, sometimes showing percentage, sometimes remaining time, and occasionally jumping from 3 hours up to 5, or the other way around.
Connectivity: The WiFi radio is very sensitive to position. The slightest movement can change the signal strength from one wave to three (out of four), and if it drops to zero you may need to run the troubleshooter to reset the adapter, as it does not recover well. It also shows low connectivity in locations where my other systems show a moderately strong signal. Plenty of USB ports, etc., but the mini-HDMI port means you'll need to carry a dongle, and the creative USB charger means you won't be slapping a new tip on that universal travel charger you bought.
OS: It comes with the abomination to nature and technology called Windows 8.1. Upgrade to Windows 10 as soon as you unwrap it. It will greatly reduce your frustration level and change your experience completely.
Summary: If you can live with the relatively minor shortcomings, this is an amazing machine.

Excellent Screen, slower processor: Full Review

Bought the Lenovo Yoga Pro 3 today and I already have the Surface Pro 3 8GB 256GB Model. Initial impressions about Yoga; bezels are ridiculous and too large. Makes the screen look like it is too tiny for the area it is in. Processor feels about 50% of the Core i5 on the Surface Pro 3 (I know it is not but feels like it). The CPU just doing web browsing or idle is around 10-20% used (most PC's will be around 0-3%). Keyboard feels great as they usually do on Lenovo's. Would have preferred the speakers to face either up from the keyboard instead of down where they are now (they face the ground) or have them under the screen with the crazy large bezel area. Trackpad is smooth and responsive, almost as nice as a MacBook without the glass feel. Windows button on display does need to be have haptic feedback and it doesn't work all the time. Hing system feels and looks better than the Yoga 2's. Wifi is also better than the Yoga 2 and on par with the Surface 3. I like the idea of the 3 USB ports but I would rather have a plug in that won't rip the laptop apart if I trip on it (like the Surface 3). The lightness is a major plus and this system is lighter than the Mackbook Air. The screen size is better if you are going to do more work but the Surface Pro 3 is more of a work horse. You really have to decide on lightness and screen size, or smaller screen, Pen, and faster processor. Hope this helps someone out

The Yoga 3 works very well with all applications and it is very fast.
The design is great and can use it in several positions, like a tablet. Very light and easy to use. Fast USB connections and excellent keyboard.
The only minor issue is battery life. not as other Lenovo in the market.

This computer has been amazing. It's super portable while still giving you a large screen. I recommend the 256SSD unless you're a pro moving stuff to the cloud. The battery life could be better, but I have it running at the highest settings. There are a lot of cool features that can make the experience better. For example, it has a feature that allows you to change pages without touching the screen, I find this useful while cooking.

If you did your research beforehand, you know that the biggest complaint about this laptop is the battery on this is terrible. And as advertised, the battery is not great on this. If you're connected to the internet and doing average to heavy web surfing, streaming or downloading, the battery goes quicker than the advertised 7 hours. So if you're planning on using this on the go a lot, this is NOT the laptop for you.
For me, I wanted a great laptop/tablet hybrid, something light and functional. I also got this laptop on sale for under a thousand bucks, making it worthwhile to me. The various modes (laptop, stand, tablet, etc.) work great, it's very light and while there are complaints about it running a little slow, it hasn't been enough for me to notice. I only use the laptop for some out of office work, web surfing and the occasional streaming and it's been great thus far in the month or so that I've owned it.
If I could, I'd probably give this laptop 3.5 stars but I think it's closer to a 4 than a 3.

This is a fantastic 2 in 1. I've tried several but never been happy with the balance of features, weight, size, and usability. The laptop looks great, on par with the Apples we have in our office, and the screen is brilliant. Surprisingly, it's light enough to be used comfortably as a tablet-- though it's large enough that you won't be reading in bed with it.
The only issues I have are with the trackpad and keyboard. They seem designed to be out of the way when the laptop is in tablet form, which is great. But the keys don't have much travel, and the trackpad lacks the sort of confident click action that makes is great laptop easy to use. It's also not a full size keyboard, despite there being plenty of room on the surface, so you have to make some odd finger stretches to hit certain keys.
If you're okay with those compromises, I recommend this absolutely.

Pros: Unbelievably light and perfect for someone who travels. Love the flexibility from laptop to tablet with just a flip. Works great in tight spaces ie a plane. Processor is robust enough for complicated data processing although you'll need to turn off some of the bloat software running in the background to prevent lag. Screen clarity is rediculous. Setting up was a breeze. Overall I've been pleased.
Cons: lenovo bloatware; keyboard can be a little insensitive at times. Meaning you have to press the keys with emphasis some times.

This laptop is super light and loads up fast. I stopped wanting to use my older HP laptop because it took so long to start up but this laptop loads up so fast I use it everyday. I have no problems browsing, listening to music and watching and streaming videos. Netflix works great with no buffering. Only issue I've had is trying to watch YouTube videos in HD 1080p. It can't handle those super high quality videos so you have to watch it in the standard 720 & it will run fine. I recommend this computer for the average user for browsing and entertainment. Gamers should pass this up and buy a gaming laptop instead.

Love the orange color, slim design and lightweight. The screen is amazing. Provides for flexibility of positions to use it. Only negative was getting used to the Microsoft 8.1 operating system. It has all the input options you could want.

Absolutely love the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro! Lives up to its hype. Fast; super lightweight and thin; bright, crisp screen; enormously convenient to use with the various positions it can assume. I have to admit that the battery life could be better, but all its other features keep me loving it.

I purchased this as a replacement for a Toshiba Portege that I dropped in the airport. The Toshiba was not touchscreen, and only had 128GB memory, otherwise was nearly the same, but around half the cost. The touchscreen feature is nice, but I use it as a tablet less than 5% of the time. Seems rugged enough for now. My biggest complaints would echo those of other users: surprisingly disappointing battery life and unwanted Lenovo installed applications. Otherwise, runs fine and operates smoothly - the 256GB memory is definitely a plus.

Firstly, laptop is so pretty, even the inner. Touch screen works well with great resolution, and laptop is really light good to carry it. Everything is so good but the performance of Core M is not that good. Compared to i series, slightly over i3, under i5. But that quality is enough for light users like me who just watch videos and surf the Internet. (game like hearthstone runs well) So, I'm really satisfying. Oh, the reason why I give 4 stars is due to problem of Windows itself. Due to so high resolution, some programs can't stand it, for example photoshop tool is too small.. But this will be solved if you upgrade to Windows 10.

This Lenovo is perfect for traveling. It's thin, light, holds it's charge can be a touch screen or key pad, has NO moving parts and is fast straight out of the box. Signing up with the Geek squad has enabled me to bring my other 2 computers in for a "check up" at no additional cost ;-)

Awesome, awesome laptop. I love everything about it from the orange color, to the different yoga positions, and the light weight. BUT the biggest problem I have is the battery life. I feel like I am constantly charging it :/ I guess I have only had the yoga 3 for a month and have yet to explore everything on it, but still I feel like I am always charging it which kinda sucks. Otherwise it is fast, durable, and super light weight.

It is a really good computer, but there are a couple of problems:
1.Trying to use Chrome and multi tasking is a nightmare; I like to listen to music on YouTube while I type on Word, play Minecraft, ect. however this is not something that you can do on this computer, otherwise Chrome will stop working and force close...
2.The battery is not what I expected; I love to watch tv programs online, and they are typically long, I say you can get only 4 hours of battery on this computer, not 6, it was a big disappointment to me :(
Other than these two problems this computer is AMAZING; I was very reluctantant to buy it at first, but I believe it is worth every penny now! The storage may be a little low on this one but the memory is fast(SSD), all you need is a really good flashdrive and you're good to go. The thing that I love the most about this computer is the size and versatility! The tickness makes it sooo easy to carry, the 2-1 capability also makes it way easier to use it on the go! :D

Pros:
- Display is really nice
- For the most part it's pretty quick
- Aesthetically, the hinge looks a little weird, but it feels sturdier than others I tried which I really like
- I got a good deal on it :)
- It's very light
- Quick response when flipping display to stand/tablet mode
Cons:
- Battery Life. It's not terrible, but it's not what I was hoping for. I get somewhere between 3-4 hrs of constant use out of it. I supposed if they beefed up the battery it would have been heavier though.

This has become my main personal windows laptop/tablet. I only use for office applications/Internet and it has kept up with no issue. The design and orange color makes everyone take notice and iPad users envious. My only complaints are some backlight bleeding on the display with black backgrounds, and the battery life. I have to charge it each night where other ultrabooks can go for days.

I must say I really liked the look, feel, screen quality and weight of the machine, however I found the Intel Core M chip to be very disappointing in performance and battery life. If you just use your computer for web browsing and email it will do fine but will suffer on flash heavy or data intensive sites. I would say it just outperforms the Intel® Atom™ processor Z3745. If you've had or used the Yoga 2 pro you WILL see a noticeable difference in performance as there is close to a 50% loss from the core I-5 or 7 chip to the Intel Core M. I also found battery life to be less than my Yoga 2 Pro with the I-7 chipset. I returned mine and stayed with my Yoga 2 Pro.
