I bought this when we bought our new house the old Microwave that came with the house died. The installers took down the Microwave and we saw how the previous owners did a horrible job installing the previous microwave. And correctly installed this microwave. It works great and I have had no problems

The LG microwave with hood fan/light works great. I installed it myself even without cupboards above the range, utilizing a very well built heavy-duty shelf. It would be nice if the controls area was backlit, it is kind of hard to read what the different buttons do but once familiarized better with the buttons’ functions, this will matter less. The fan is a little loud, but it does seem to move a lot of air, so the noise is acceptable. All in all a good product at a reasonable price. This innovative product provides ventilation and cleared up a good amount of space on the countertop, where the previous microwave oven was.

Does the job, but if I had it to do over again I would DEFINITELY pass on this one. I really enjoy having a microwave and would find it extremely difficult and frustrating not to have one because we use it constantly. I'm not even close to a health freak, but this microwave is so loud when it's on that I can't help but wonder if I'm being harmed while standing near it. It reminds me of an MRI machine, electrical transformer or aircraft taking off. The hum or decibel level is that loud especially compare to any other microwave. It is installed over my stove so I'm often cooking beneath it, as it's running and it's so loud I'm afraid it could eventually be causing me brain cancer or some other kind of harm because we all literally have to talk real loud just to hear one another in the same room while it's operating. I've had microwaves since they existed and this is the loudest one I've ever heard.People walk in the kitchen and ask "what's up with the microwave?" When we first got it every family member asked me "why is it so loud?" Kind of embarrassing to tell you the truth. My daughter asked if I bought it because it was the cheapest one. The noise is obviously louder than the average microwave and annoying, but I could deal with it if it was just a noise issue, but the thought of why this particular microwave is so noisy concerns me and I've never really worried about using a microwave in the past. If it were located in another place where I didn't have to frequently stand near it while it was operating, the noise would be annoying, but not as concerning, but even if it was installed in a lower cabinet I wouldn't want to continually stand by it. It actually sounds dangerous. I know we probably shouldn't stand by any microwave on a continual basis and there's folks that won't even use them, but I really rely and enjoy the convenience of a microwave. I never gave any health risk much thought until I had one this noisy. We can hear it in another room when it's running! I don't know anything about microwaves or rays, etc and maybe it's fine, but the fact that it's that loud where you can't help but notice the difference compared to the average microwave makes me think it couldn't be very well insulated. Regardless of the noise, it also doesn't have the gusto of my old microwave that was the same wattage. I'm often hitting the add 30 seconds multiple times and the weird thing is food may come out steaming. If something was steaming out of our old microwave it was actually hot. How can something steam, yet actually be lukewarm. With this microwave if we stir the steaming food (like soup) only a layer is hot because it's barely warm after being stirred and I'm content with my food not being super hot, but prefer it more on the room temperature to warm side. Again, something my whole family noticed. You see steam you are thinking wow, this microwave is powerful. Not it's some kind of illusion, LOL. I will say it looks nice, functions fair (other than the sound when running, door closing noise and sometimes having to add additional time) and we got it on sale, so it was inexpensive for a microwave, but as much as I spend a lot of time to find the best deal, this ISN'T it! Even if it were $100 less I honestly would never buy it again and I'm the type to spend lots of time researching things to find the best bargain and typically don't require the latest and greatest on most things I purchase. As long as it will get the job done, will last a decent amount of time and looks nice, fairly priced, I'm good with it, but I've never had a purchase concern me about my well being until I bought this. I watch our pennies very carefully, but somethings just aren't worth the savings and I feel this is one of them. The grey interior took a minute to get used to but it can be nice not to see ever little splatter. The noise is annoying and some may think it feels cheap, kind of makes a hollow sound when closing the door which is also very loud, but I would still consider buying it if those were the only issues, but I'm honestly heartbroken at the thought of being stuck with this newly purchased microwave and am still considering throwing it out after only having it for a little over a month. I'm pretty frugal, but it's not just the cost of replacing it, or the annoyance of throwing money away, but the time and hassle of having it taken down and reinstalling a new one that is giving me additional pause in replacing it.I'm so frustrated. We plan on doing our kitchen over within the next 6 months and I definitely will be buying a new one at that point, but I may not even want to wait until then. My last microwave was over 8 years old. This is barely over a month old and I'd rather have my old microwave any day. I'm beyond disappointed because although it works and I think it looks pretty nice, what good is it if I feel concerned when it's being used. I can't stress enough, that I would pass on this one. Spend a few bucks more if you have to and find a better one. This is an electronic most people use often and have for years and it's definitely not worth saving a few bucks if you will feel concerned when using it and can possibly be increasing your family's risk of any health issues not to mention the annoying noise. Again, I'm not a doctor and don't know a great deal about microwaves, that's just my opinion, but it certainly doesn't seem like a conclusion that would be hard to come to after considering the noise level of this microwave compared to any other microwave. I'm just a mama who enjoys the use of a microwave yet wants to keep herself and her family as safe as possible and wish the same for you and yours. :) I'm not one to write a lot of reviews, but I really wouldn't want anyone else feeling stuck after they spent the money and had it installed. In my opinion this isn't a great buy, or even a good bargain, no matter what the price is. I would definitely pass if the noise will bother you, or if you are often remotely close to your microwave while it's operating. Otherwise I guess most folks would feel it is decent. It does heat the food and does what it is designed to do although due to weak power or it being insufficiently insulated it takes a little longer, but it is less expensive than most microwaves and still functions which is why I felt it was only fair to give it 1-2 stars. I went with 1 star in hopes more people will read the review and be aware of this issue, but it may actually deserve 2 stars since this noise may not concern everyone, but I actually feel resentment towards this purchase. Never thought someone could feel resentment or such frustration towards a microwave purchase, LOL, but at least it prompted me to write this review so you can be aware.

Lg sleek design. Accurately Warms and cooks the food all the way using the preset buttons. A little louder than our 10 year old one that we replaced with this one but does the job!

Works well! Would have given it 5 stars except there seems to be no way to silent this model so it does not “beep” at the end of the cook time. LG online support was not helpful at all

This is a great basic microwave. The gray interior surprised me but looks really classy. The controls are easy to use. The only thing that is missing is a timer. I used the timer on my old microwave constantly. Fortunately, my LG range DOES have a timer to use.

Fits perfect for what we needed - size - finish - ease of use. Plus was able to carry from the store - take home and install. Plus, it just looks great.

Replacing old one of 12 years. This is the same more recent version. Liked old one better.
The control panel doesn’t light up, hard to see what you’re doing. Fan runs while microwave runs. Very loud and annoying. Seems flimsy compared to our old one. It cooks well, no issues with that.
Price was good, works good as far as cooking goes.

Loving the LG product line for both style, efficiency and quality. This item updated my kitchen considerably and is not as bulky as my old one. It has a wider area inside as well. Plenty of auto options and is quite easy to figure out. Display for time and options are eye level and very convenient.

Decent quality for the price, easy to install and works well. Only complaint is it doesn't have a very strong light (1 bulb) and could use a button for heating a cup of coffee.
