This LG model had everything we were looking for. It fit the space well, is simple to operate and efficiently moves air with the built in blower.

Seems a bit stronger than the old one in wattage, simple design and the buttons are holding up. For the price, would purchase again.

Yes, the Cooking part of the microwave works, but I would say that's the bare minimum of what to expect. First there is no timer function. Every microwave I've ever owned from a cheapo dorm microwave to my last 20 year old over-the-range had a timer. This is a necessity for any kitchen! Second, I've had this microwave for just over a year and the lights on the LED screen have started flickering randomly. Additionally, at times, certain sections of the LED numbers go out and wont work at all for maybe a day. For instance, the 8 will now look like a 6 because the lights are out. So far they have always come back on, but I'm waiting for the day the LED goes out completely. I wouldnt purchase this microwave again, or recommend it.

This one was not satisfactory for my old eyes because I could not see the number panel entries without hold a flashlight up to it plus the installer had it venting into the kitchen instead of outside. The replacement was much better and installed correctly. You have to stand right there to ensure they vent out the back of the house because they come from the factory to vent inside the room they are installed in. I don't know why anyone would want that since the smell and heat fills the room. I had to pay an extra $100 for the replacement that helps me see the number panel better.
