Love the color, cleans easily, nice blue light, good size. Kids love the popcorn button.

I purchased an LG range and a matching otr microwave (LMV1831SS). I had the MW installed by a contractor 2 weeks later. The microwave didn't work out of the box: key pad was the issue, some buttons didn't work. (you can hardly see them as many reviewers note, but we are not even there yet.) the part has been backordered and we will get a new keypad when LG gets around to supplying it. I asked them to just send me a new microwave that worked and have it installed (which it needs because it is connected to a vent that goes outside). I got a run-around from the customer service people that LG has a "protocol" they have to follow and could not just replace it. So, I have no working microwave and don't know when I will. So much for buying any LG product if their products have such poor quality control. And the return period has expired. I still have no idea when I will have a working one as no one can tell me. As others have noted, the vent is very loud, the keypad hard to read (particularly if it is across from a window that is reflected on it), and the down light is pathetic if you need it (we do not, but others might.) I wonder when i will be able to say whether the MW is otherwise good, or not?

Basic microwave for the high price. Looks ok but door not square with frame (fit and finish seems to be a common problem with LG kitchen appliances). Touch panel doesn’t light up. No sound control for loud chime. Stainless finish shows black spots and needs frequent polishing. Light and fan have only one on/off setting. Lacks basic features. Otherwise does what any microwave does. Should have spent more time researching this before buying.

This LG microwave was a replacement for another. It does a fine job and has 1000wats available for warming or cooking. However, I gave it only 3 stars because it is noisy (the fan). I would recommend it if your finances are tight. It does work well.

you really have to push the keypad buttons hard to function. Basic quick features do not exist on this model. I will most likely go to a higher model next year. This is quite the bare bones model with a couple perks. My fault

A very good quality over-the-range microwave. I was looking for something in black stainless to reduce the appearance of greasy finger tips. This matched the LG gas range we had purchased 2 years earlier, right down to the handle style for the door. I don't know why manufacturers can't get together to standardize wall mounts and overhead screw locations. Since this was a replacement, I had to do that all over again. I've got 3 set of holes now in the wood cabinets this is mounted under. The control layout was similar to my last unit, which was a plus. For function, it cooks well and the fan loudness is average. I knocked off a star because the lighting beneath it is a single bulb and just a little better than a night-lite in terms of brightness. My last unit had dual bulbs and both were much brighter, lighting up the stove top and and adjacent countertops very well.

Good size, extra options with shelf for rectangular dishes. Touchscreen buttons could be improved, but overall works well.

Microwave heats really fast , but a little too loud

I needed to replace my Frigidaire microwave that was no longer available so I chose this LG microwave that has a similar handle to my oven I have been using that microwave now for about five weeks and I must say I’m very pleased with it it’s very simple to use and seems to be much quieter than my old microwave the cook times are listed inside the microwave work for cooking and reheating many foods this is convenient but I hope in time that this paper just not start peel

Microwave works great. Only downside is buttons are a little hard to push and the beep is very loud and keeps going off intermittently until I open the door. i wish there is some way to tone it down.

It's attractive, works well, and the installation went smoothly. Installers were careful of the new LG stove I have during install covering it and so respectful and detailed throughout the process. They even cleaned up a few scuffs on the wall that happened during install. Not faulting them for at all as I know stuff happens when you have heavy item two men are installing with tools. I bought the geek squad extended warranty otherwise LG customer service is horrible!

Wanted to give this a bit of time to use before reviewing. The microwave is pretty good. Only real thing that I would have like differently, but couldn't really tell with an online purchase, was the light has only one setting, and the touch/buttons need a fairly firm touch/push to activate them.

We really like it, but for some reason it seems to be a bit noisy at startup. However, the functions / working options are great. (exhaust fan, light, cook settings, etc)

I like the look and quality. Easy to use and the installation was quick too.
