    None of the LG appliances I purchased have buttons that are backlit, so no one can see what button to push to start or turn on temperature, timer, everything Read the fine print on all items The quality of LG went done in my book

    WE bought this Microwave in February 2021. The magnetron died in October 2021. LG repairman cannot fix it till November 2021. What great service. Best buy says I have to go through LG. So much for total tech support

    Had the LMV1831SS microwave for 1.5 years before the display screen went wonky. They build everything cheaper and yet charge an arm and leg for crap products

    Brakes a lot

    Heater broke on us a week after we got it and they fixed it because it was under warranty. Same part broke on us a year later so we called them and they said they wouldn’t pay for the labor to fix it. Do not buy!

    This product stopped working. LG warranty department came to my home 6 times and the product is still not operable. Hard to get a replacement through the manufacture.

    Bad Quality and very loud notification when heatin

    Repaired 3 times in less than 2 years. Then LG just quit supporting the product and wouldn't honor and exchange request.

    The touch pad scratched the first time I wiped it

    Touch pad with buttons scratched the first time we wiped it after installation. Having big problems with all of the LG products I bought on 9/1/20 and Best Buy does not care to help. They only want to know if I bought a warranty or if I paid for geek squad. WHAT A JOKE

    Major problem- the control pad does not light up. First microwave I've seen that doesn't have a readable keypad unless the kitchen light is on.

    Returned the microwave, front was rippled

    The microwave was delivered and installed, however, the front was rippled and dented and the door was not properly aligned. We had the microwave uninstalled and returned. Look for a microwave that has a door that goes all the way across with the controls located on the door.

    This was a lower power rating than the one it replaced, but was the best I could find at the time. It just died after barely more than 2 years.

    Good Basic Microwave

    We bought this because we just wanted a basic microwave that is relatively compact for our space. We don't like appliances that protrude much from the counters/cabinets. It looks good and it functions solidly. My complaints, and the reason I docked it one star is 1) the plastic over the control panel is soft and rippled. Light reflecting off this uneven surface makes reading it from a distance difficult (I know, who needs to read their microwave controls from a distance?) and detracts from its appearance, and 2) My other complaint is that all my LG appliance displays are a cool white LED except this microwave has a green LED display.

    LG over the range microwave

    It is really pretty. It cleans easily. It cooks food well. The only problem I've found is that the buttoms are quite difficult to push.....if you do not push them exactly correctly, which is not straight on, they don't work....and you must push them with some force. That can be quite annoying, and gives me the feeling that the buttons might wear out....I hope I am wrong about this because it sure is a pain replacing an over the range microwave...ugh.

    Noisy fan, dim lights

    The fairly noisy stove exhaust fan runs every time you run the microwave, making conversation nearby difficult. It also blows (leaks) air out the top of the unit, in spite of my outside vent configuration. My last LG (LMV1813ST) had dual under-hood lights that were bright and had a 2-level brightness (high and low). This unit has a single, dim bulb. I installed a 40w LED bulb, and that helped. The interior of this model is dark-colored and has a dim bulb. The display (clock, timer, etc,) is recessed, with slightly worse off-angle viewing. Finally, the mounting plate and all mounting holes were in different locations from my last LG, which turned a 30 minute installation into a 4 hour pain in the neck. Why did LG change all the hole locations? I used to complain about crummy GE appliances, but this might be my last LG, as it feels like a big downgrade from the last one, which lasted 7 years (not as long as it should have). I bought this one with the hopes that mounting it would be a simple job - not so.

    We got this microwave after our 20 year old one broke. It's quiet, cooks evenly and is attractive. The only this seems to be that the key pad can be a little finicky.

    Our GE lasted 3 years and died on Thanksgiving day. We decided it was less expensive to buy a new microwave than fixing the GE. This model was $100 off, had a 10 year warranty on the magnatron and got decent reviews so we bought it. Compared to our GE, the fan is a little noisier, the door closing sounds less solid but it cooks the way we expect it to. The installation was not simple and if LG had a proper template to drill the holes above the cabinet , it would have helped. So far no mechanical problems
