There is only one light setting and that setting is set to dim, other than that we love it. I would recommend it to purchase.

Too loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I was very happy with the LG OTR microwave I had before – it lasted 6 years. Looking back, I sure wish I had read the reviews first. This is definitely loud. Way louder than the last LG oven. Also, the buttons are hard to press. After the noise bothered me several days, I decided to donate it to someone and just buy new oven that is quiet and I can live with.

However, it stopped working and LG wants to charge $400 for repairs. This is frustrating, as the microwave only lasted 4 years and now I'm being asked to pay more than the original cost for repairs. Definitely not the quality I expected for a product at this price. Will not be buying from LG again.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brought this LG microwave 3.5 years ago, It stop heating and generate a loud humming noise a few days ago. After some diagnostic, found the magnetron is broken. This component supposed to last for +10 years. LG has a 10 years warranty on this part. The component has "Made in China" in the label. Called LG customer service, they refuse to send a replacement part to me. They said they can only send the warranty part to a LG authorized repair shop. I called the repair shop and they charge the installation fee so high that you can buy a new microwave. Basically means no warranty. Surprise to see Magnetron broken so early. Poor quality LG microwave.

Worked for about 3-4 years. Then the inside fan would come on whenever you opened the door for the last year. Then last week it started not turning on, sporadically. Until last night, when it refused to turn on at all. The key pad works, and starts a countdown timer, but wont turn on. Tried unplugging it. Messing with the door. Everything I could think of. Nothing. Looks like I need a new one. Just wish I could be confident in replacing it with a different make/model that would be of higher quality, but don't want to have to mess with converting the existing install. humm.

Frustrated and irritated

This is very annoying when you can't read some of the numbers since they do not work. This should not be happening since we have had this for only two years. I would not recommend this microwave to anyone.
