    This microwave is awful! It only lasted a year and a half. The buttons are so hard to push, it is not worth the money!

    Don’t trust LG appliances! This unit stopped working after 3 years. Cost more to fix than to replace. Had an LG washing machine and microwave stop working within a 3 year period of purchasing. Not impressed with LG.

    Worked great...until it died

    A week after the warranty was up, my LG LMV1813ST microwave DIED. There was no warning. Now, it will cost almost as much to fix it as to buy a new microwave, and buying a new microwave ($$) means an installation fee (more $$). Since my kitchen reno was done with this over-the-range, built-in microwave, I am stuck. Wish I could go back to my old, reliable countertop model, which lasted 10 years with no problems, as did its predecessor.

    Short lived Microwave

    We bought this microwave November of 2017 for just reheating only. It has been a year and a half and the microwave has stop heating. I didn’t buy the 59.99 extended warranty thinking because it was just a basic item and we don’t use it much it should last a pretty long time. Well I’ve learned my lesson and will purchase the warranty next time. So I’m not sure if I’ll buy another LG microwave because of this issue.

    Microwave completely died after only 18 months. Do not buy this product. LG said sorry, but our warranty is only good for one year. Never liked it much, because the touch button were very hard to push and your fingerprints show everywhere.

    Failed after 18 months

    We used this microwave for 18 months. It failed and won’t heat anything. I tried to change the magnetron and it still won’t work. LG wouldn’t do anything about it until we paid $100 to have a tech diagnose. Then, they’d only cover the magnetron if that was what it was, which it wasn’t. I’ll be returning the part and purchasing another microwave not branded LG.

    Stopped working

    It worked well for a while then stopped working . If you do decide to purchase buy extended warranty. When we called the repairman. The number we were quoted it was cheaper to purchase another microwave .

    Nice microwave that breaks too soon

    Had the microwave 13 months before it died. LG fixed it, but it died again less than 2 years later well after warranty. Cheaper to buy new one than get it fixed.

    Broken, terrible customer service

    We bought this on 12/27/16 and it broke after normal use in January 2017. We have contacted LG numerous times and they can't find anyone to service the product and are doing nothing (it's March 2017.) I would not recommend this product or any LG product at this point, and I would recommend that you buy local because Best Buy won't assist in any way either.

    malfunctioning after 3 years

    my countertop microwave, which is now heavily used at my workplace, is 20 years old and still going. This microwave is only 3 years old and turns itself off and will stay off anytime i cook something hot underneath it such as potatoes, which defeats the purpose of having an undermount microwave. Nothing is made to last.

    Don't buy from LG if you live in a rural area. I've had to fight them for over a year because they can't find anyone to service my microwave. Well within warranty. Applies to everything LG really. They won't replace because they haven't serviced, but they can't service. Stay away.

    Terrible, 3 visits repair visits still not fixed
