    Dead after 13 months, buyer beware

    This LG microwave lasted only 13 months. It no longer cooks or heats up despite everything else working, and there's nothing LG can do about it since it's 30 days out of their warranty. Luckily we purchased a Geek Squad warranty but they won't fix it, only replace it. Not sure installation will be covered and if not, BestBuy will no longer be getting my appliance purchases. Very much regret purchasing this unit. A $300 microwave lasting just over a year is absurd.

    I’m only giving this a 2 star because the model I received did not work :( I did return it and bought a replacement, same model just a slightly smaller version because they were out of this one. Hopefully I have better luck.

    Poor customer service making me look elsewhere

    This microwave lost power 5 months after I purchased it. I understand not everything is perfect but the response has been to replace part by part for the last month. And now waiting on more parts. Still no operational microwave. Didn't have it for Thanksgiving and may not have it for Christmas as this rate. I buy all LG products and this type of service is forcing me to reconsider future purchases. They've spent more on parts and technicians than what the cost of the microwave was. Just give me a new one please.

    This hunk of junk lasted 6 months!

    Piece of absolute garbage! I purchased this in December 2024. The thing didn’t even last a year! It’s now June 2025, and it’s no longer heating items up. Something randomly malfunctioned and now it runs but doesn’t work. My Kenmore microwave lasted 20 years!! Luckily we should still be within the warranty which is one year from purchase.

    Broke quickly

    Have had the microwave 9 months now. After 3 months it stopped heating and had to have a tech out to repair. Now after 9 months it has stopped heating again and is being repaired again. I have no doubt it will break again in a few months and will not be under warrenty this time. When that happens I'll go with a different brand instead

    This was an open box excellent option. Far from it. The microwave was covered in food on the inside. The vent guard was missing as well as the mounting bracket. I had to pay my installer extra for the missing parts. This product was definitely not in excellent condition and wasn't inspected at all and I will never purchase from best buys open box system again.

    Was super excited at first. Unit lasted about a month before randomly shutting off. It replaced a Maytag unit that was roughly 15 years old that never shut off like this. In chat with Best Buy staff to see how to solve this, but for now, I'm not happy. I'll update this when a good solution is made and the replacement/repair doesn't do the same thing.

    Dim Internal Light

    I have had the microwave for a bit over a year. I like many are having problems with the internal LED light dim. My light was fine up until about a month ago. I have owned the oven since Dec 2023 the light went dim after about 2 years. LG is not interested in addressing the problem under warranty.

    had to replace a 2 year old lg microwave that gave out so not to get a different brand this fit onto old lg bracket so so item new features not worth it

    The Diode or the Magnetron went out and the Microwave won’t heat at all! There was no warning. All it did was make a little different noise when running for about 10 seconds and then started sounding normal but wouldn’t heat. Obviously it’s going to more expensive to fix than by another one. Today’s world is such a throw away culture. We bought this microwave and an LG stove to match. I hate to break that up so will probably give them a second chance.

    Nice while it works - suddenly failed way too soon

    Microwave is not even 6 months old with use about every other day and already has suddenly failed to heat anything. Reset unit, tried numerous things, no heating. Will be using our service plan coverage as soon as we get back from vacation. Unbelievable that the expensive microwave just failed not even half a year old. Not the quality we would have expected from LG or from the price that we paid for this unit. We've previously had over-the-range units from other vendors that lasted 6 years, not 6 months.

    this microwave has been great up until yesterday when it stopped heating anything. my one year warranty was up on March 13th and it stopped working on March 24th. Needless to say im not very happy with this unit. Complete waste of money.

    How to screw up the user interface on a microwave.

    I dont know how but they made using a microwave a terrible experience. They have a "feature" called express cook. As soon as you touch a button on the microwave keypad the microwave starts running. There is no way to turn the feature off. Also, the exhaust fan sounds like you are next to a jet taking off, the light is very dim and is a 30 watt incandescent. Is LG stuck in the 1990's? Do yourself a favor and skip on this LG microwave.

    It died within 7 months of purchasing/installing. I paid for the extended Geek Squad warranty. It has taken me 3 hours to even get someone to understand my issue. Not sure if I'm going to buy anything from BB again!
