For the first one, I did not purchase an extended service plan. It failed just after the factory warranty expired. LG offered no help. Rather than pay for a service call, I just replaced it with an identical one. This time I bought a five year extended service plan. It failed just like the first one soon after the factory warranty expired. It was repaired under the service plan. At about 4 years old, it no longer heated anything. The service plan gave me an allowance towards a new one. I bought another LG hoping to use the same mounting holes in my cabinet. It needed different holes. I had it installed by Best Buy and because LG micorwave ovens have proved so unreliable, I again purchased a 5 year service plan. Based on past experience, I expect that I will need it. The newer oven seems to work well. It lacks the nice custom cook setting that the older oven had so for a common item that I warm up I now have to press 4 buttons rather than one (a minor inconvenience) The smartphone app lets you select cook time and power level, but there is no function to actually start the oven, What's the point of having the phone app if you still need to walk up to the oven to start it????? Based upon experience with two prior LG microwave ovens, I expect that this one will fail at about 14 moneths old.

A cute chime when it’s done cooking and when the timer goes off. Pairs with the LG app for additional options and functionality. I purchased this to replace a 14 year old microwave. An exceptional upgrade!

Cons: inwish the buttons were backlit, it is nearly impossible to see the buttons if kitchen lights are not on, thr other is the door is huge, other microwaves make thr door smaller by having controls on the side, but this mkcrowave swings the full 30” so every time you need to step back when uou open the door which is annoying.

Not with the popcorn button or just straight timing it. The look of the smooth face is nice, but not as easy to use as the standard style. ( the wife wanted the smooth door style) I would return this unit if it was still possible and go back to the standard style, which also seemed a little more robust when it comes to opening and closing the door. I feel like the door will fall off of this if i dont close it gently. Definitely would not buy again.

We really aim to provide products that meet and even exceed what our customers expect. Just a heads up, things like microwave wattage, bag size, and how you place the bag can all play a part in how well the popcorn pops. We suggest using the Popcorn button with the right weight selection or manually setting the cooking time according to the bag’s instructions. And keep an eye on those popping intervals—stop when it slows down to about 2–3 seconds between pops. Also, trying to place the bag a bit off-center on the turntable might help improve things.
As for the door, we designed it to have a sleek and modern look, but we definitely want to make sure it works properly for you. Good Microwave with all functionality we can wish

You can put any number of seconds in the timer or going in steps of 30 seconds. It is very easy to use the automatic timing for different kinds of food. The fan has 4 speeds and the light 2 intensity levels. I wish it had LED light
