We purchased this over 2 years ago and had no issues...that is, until the onboard motor wore out. It ended up being cheaper for Best Buy to replace than to fix, so we went with this one again more for the fact that the dimensions fit. We considered not getting it due to the low shelf life, but the repairman said this was a common trend from the last batch of LG washers - hopefully this new batch won't have this issue. As for the machine itself, it really does a great job and you don't have to do much beyond rinsing off the heavy stuff off your plates before loading the machine. The "auto" run time might seem long to some (can be nearly 3 hours for a load) but there are other settings using more water that can get it done faster.

Made well, runs quiet and plays a little tune at the end of the cycle. Dishes are clean and dry, I love putting away clean, dry, warm dishes. I highly recommend this LG dishwasher.

Seems to be working just fine. It will probably break within five years like every other LG dishwasher I've owned. Can't give it a 5 star since I've only had it installed for less than a month. Sad that engineers can't engineer things to last anymore. No money in appliances that last as long as a home.

Im very happy with my L G dishwasher. It is very quiet and cleans dishes well. Unfortunately the only problem is with the top top rack. I put lids and other slim items on there but they dont come out dry. Other than that, i like the dishwasher.

Easy to install back feet lift control from the front. 5/8" hose conection points down, so you need the 90deg. adapter that come in the hose kit. Unless you're replacing a washer then you will need one. Machine is quite except on turbo. Runs about 2 hours and gets everything clean.

First off: it's a good looking unit that appears to function well, though I did just get it so let's see how it holds up over time.
My doc in stars is due to a few design decisions that lead to a less than pleasant installation experience and a few warnings.
First off: the hole you need to cut for the washer via the template is _very_ low. The manual is clear that they can't guarantee good drainage if the hole isn't within the shaded area, but said area is literally at 3" off the ground: most modern cabinets have 4" toe kicks. That will damage most cabinets as you drill through part of the floor. Luckily the hole recommended is 2.5" in diameter so the bottom half of said hole can pass the drainage hole and be i n compliance ... just make sure it's the bottom of the 3 wires you try to pass through the opening. In the future LG: could you think about the average cabinet height?
The next thing is the junction box for the electrical cable is in the front, right side of the unit. This means if you buy the standard HomeDepot dishwasher kit and you get a 5.5ft cable, you immediately lose 2-3ft of it running through the channel to the front of the unit. If your outlet is on the left-side of the unit? Another 2ft lost as you bend around the back, leaving you with a measly 6" to reach the outlet. Do yourself a favor and buy a 7ft or longer electrical cable.
Finally is the drainpipe. Now this actually comes with the unit, is attached at the back, and is still a solid 6ft long. You can easily do a high-loop with it if you are allowed, but if you live in a state that requires an airgap, then this will need to be cut down. BUT: it's one piece of accordion plastic with a small smooth pipe for the last 4". if you cut the drain, you lose that clean nosle and end up having to get creative in attaching this to your airgap by using plumbers glue or similar to make the air-tight seal. I wish they just used a smooth hose that could be easily cut at any point and fastened down.
Is the machine a nightmare to install? No. But there are some elements here that make it harder than it should be. I had to get a longer than expected electric cable, cut the drain hose in a way that forced me to buy plumbers putty, and really ponder how to avoid bad damage to my cabinets.
Be ready for a fight when installing... and enjoy when you're done

Real happy with my new LG dishwasher. My installer had no trouble taking out the old Kenmore and install the new LG. very quiet operation. Follow user guide of use, a rinse agent is key to dry dishes. A good affordable and nice looking appliance

After I purchased my son and daughter in law one of these and learned how much they love theirs we had to have one for ourselves. This unit is so quiet and with its third shelf for delicate items it beats all the rest

This thing is all but silent when it runs. We never realized how much noise the old ine made. The third drawer is great for the weird lids and utensils.

We are very pleased with our new LG dishwasher and the installation. It is quiet and the third level on top is great. We did not think we would use it, but it is great. We may have to buy shorter glasses, but are happy to do so. John
We are delighted to see your positive feedback. Welcome to the LG family. ^Jennifer

The dishwasher cleans well but does not dry well. I like the stainless steel tub. It is very quiet! The silverware rack has the handle in the middle which doesn't allow for easy loading of the silverware.

Great product and works like a champ! Took us about a week to stop running into the start button by accident but it’s well worth the investment…..and is vey quiet to operate.
