I absolutely love this DVD burner. It’s so easy to use and takes up barely any room at all. I love that I can carry it my laptop bag.

Since laptops often come without optical drives this is a good solution to that problem. Even though much media exists online, optical media still exist. This drive is plug and play and works well.

This product seems to work just fine. My only concern was that a first accidentally bought an internal drive. The salesperson did not realize that the one I was going to buy was an internal drive and it was not clearly marked, Then I was told I had to physically go to the store where I had purchased it to return it. This was inconvenient as it was, but what if I had been out of town when Ipurchaased it.

I admit that a CD/DVD is old school these days, but I have a number of CDs and DVDs that I want access to, and I am not enamored with streaming. While I will likely use the write option very little, I still like having it available. The installation of this device was old school also, using a disc, and using the earlier version of Windows Media Player, but that is easy to use. No regrets.

Get this one. It does what it says on the box, plug and play. No setting up, no drivers to configure. In short this is how all accessory items SHOULD work.

Excellent for what it is - a plug and play CD/DVD (recordable) drive. Well-built and super easy. Did not have to install any of the free-ware just to use it as a drive. Used it to install older PC games on a new gaming laptop and it worked perfectly.

The product is nice and small, and uses USB power so it travels easily. And it has a very robust case. It's very easy to begin using.

can't express how happy I am with this piece of equipment. The second you take it out of the box you know you're holding a well constructed, heavy duty piece of computer equipment. Installation was a snap and took less than 1 minute to be up and running. I didn't bother to install the DVD writer software provided as I have a favorite I always use. The software disc also comes with other packages if you choose to use them. But if you already have a DVD burner software you're ready to go the second you plug it into your computer. I burned a DVD first thing. WOW, what a difference in speed than the same speed DVD burner built into my computer. What took me up to 8 minutes to burn in the computer DVD burner took right at 4 with the LG unit. To sum up this purchase, I am ecstatic!

Works well. Small and light. But for the price, does exactly what I needed. Opens CD’s and DVD’s of music and photos.

I bought this as a replacement to an older disc drive. It is so much slimmer and lighter than my previous drive. The speed is great. Definitely a good travel drive.
