I was extremely excited about this cooktop as it was an upgrade and we had plans for Christmas cooking. The install went smoothly and everything was great for the first week. It even looked great. However, using it on Christmas, a lid from a pot had fallen halfway off and landed on the corner of the cooktop, cracking it immediately. I can't imagine this cooktop is the most durable one out there as I have used other cooktops for several years in the past and not one of them ever cracked when a similar event happened. Contacting LG and praying I got a faulty one as it did not take much to crack this (could have been the corner is the weakest part as well but still not the quality you expect of an expensive item).

So far, I love it. I haven't used it long or used all of the features, but it looks awesome in my new kitchen and works great even though the installers didn't bring my manual.

Worst warranty and customer service November 2018 we “upgraded” all our kitchen appliances. Now our cooktop has completely stopped working. It has been out since September 20th, it is now October 4th and still we have not been told when this will be replaced. A technician came out September 25th and confirmed that the cooktop needed to be replaced and it would be 3-5 days before we would hear from the other department that handles these issues. I have called intermittently and the call center staff seem to get angry because I am frustrated that they can’t give me any answers other than “now you just have to wait!” There is no urgency and in fact, it seems that they are really trying to discourage any warranty support hoping that the customer will just give up and deal with the repair/replacement on our own. I am very disappointed and would never endorse LG products to anyone.

Cleaning time is hard to get this shiny I guess is the material

This is our second LG 30" Cooktop, same model. We unfortunately cracked the old one no fault of LG and bought the exact same model since we had not issues with the old unit. The new cooktop now has an interesting tone when you turn it on, different but nice.

Got it on sale; extra value = extra happiness!! Cooking is great now, it plays little music tones when you turn it on and off. The touch system with no knobs is great for cleaning.

Such a nice cooktop. Heats evenly and the largest burners are diagonally opposite, so you can put two large pots cooking with no problem. Other cooktops had them next to each other and my pots would never have fit. Cleans easily.

COOKTOP GREAT/LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. 3RD PARTY INSTALLERS FOR BEST BUY NEVER SHOW WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO. TOOK OFF 2 DAYS WAITING FOR INSTALLATION .... THEY CLAIMED ITEM WAS SUSPENDED IN THE SYSTEM THAT IS WHY THEY DIDNT SHOW UP

Need new cooktop and this was most affordable option for 30'' size with touch controls and 5 burners

Fit the space like a glove. Controls are press like a tablet which is unique.
