Bought an open box dyer from Best Buy Bolingbrook. Purchased it "open box - satisfactory" which means Minor to moderate cosmetic signs of use possible, Any signs of use will not impact performance Nonessential parts or accessories may be missing. Well, the internal components were melted before I even started it. LG came out, "fixed it" two weeks later. After 6 hours, the dryer caught on fire and filled my place with smoke. As of today it is still not fixed and LG is not showing any urgency on this at all. Stay away from LG.

We had this since November of 2019. It is now broken. We're thinking the drive motor. Hard to believe such an expensive dryer didnt even last 2 years. Before it worked decent. Always took 3 dryer cycles for one load of towels or jeans. Other clothing took 2 dryer cycles. Blankets were 1 cycles and then I would hang to dry them the rest of the way. I maintained cleaning the dryer and even swept out areas the directions never mentioned cleaning. The dryer gets lint in a lot of places within the machine.

The units look good and work properly. But the doors are not reversible so they open on opposite sides, which in a small space or any other space it defeats having have them stackable!! Returned them.

After they got your money, they just be so mean when you call in. I spend 4000 dollars on applications from best buy. After one and a half month and 40 phones calls, 10 store visiting, I still no dryer to use!!! Don't go with best buy they are horrible. Never believe the people told you in the store, when you call they will give you other policy and said the people in store is not well trained!!!! and no one help you solve the problems!!!

I bought this dryer several months ago. The tub is plenty big and it heats well. My issue is that it rolls my queen-sized bed sheets into a tootsie roll shaped ball that is still wet in the center. This requires that I must frequently interrupt the drying cycle, take the sheets out, untangle them and restart the cycle. I've tried the cotton setting and the bulky setting but the result is the same. It shouldn't take this much maintenance to dry a load of laundry. I'm wishing for a clothes line at this point.

First of all, I will never buy anything from Bestbuy again. The product itself is great, but their service team is so inefficient, sloppy and irresponsible. I purchased the dryer along with the washer and it took them 3 trips to install! But it doesn't end there, the dryer requires a drain and the drain was leaking due to the damage during the installation. So I called in to get it repaired, but it needs to be replaced because no one seem to be able to fix the thing!

This is a ventless dryer, so it uses a condensation pan to collect water. It hasn’t stopped leaking water since I purchased it a month ago. I assume it’s a condensation pan issue. Water also condenses around the dryer door. I’ve had a tech from LG evaluate the dryer he doesn’t know what’s causing the leak. It’s been 30 days since I purchased this dryer and the issue hasn’t been resolved. I made a huge mistake by buying this dryer.

Makes the utility room so hot because it has no exit for hot air so my electricity bill is higher

This may be the single worst purchase I have ever made. If fills my home with a toxic chemical smell that gives us all headaches. I have resorted to line drying my clothing in the basement and only throwing it in the dryer at the end to soften and fluff it up with now heat. Best Buy did nothing to help and the LG repair could also offer no solutions... hard earned money down the drain.

LG - 4.2 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Compact Electric Dryer - White - WORST purchase in my 70 year life - I can already see my electric bills going up because the dryer needs at LEAST 2 cycles to do the job that my old dryer did in 1 - take my advice - DO NOT BUY THIS THING!!! - can't wait for it to break down - I will be looking for a new one
