This LG washer exceeded my expectations in terms of design, efficiency, and performance. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective machine. It has undoubtedly made my laundry tasks much easier and more enjoyable.

Washer is excellent! Easy install and easy to use. Washer is very efficient and my clothes smell fresh and clean every time no matter if it’s my work clothes, gym clothes or everyday wear.

Wow, latest technology and clean clothes. 20 yr old dryer stopped working, work horse washer still going, instead of looking into repair, it was time for a new washer dryer. As I’m not the primary user of these appliances, I didn’t even know what to look for. Since our past machines worked so long reliability was a major factor. LG seemed to be a top brand in popularity and reliability. So many option and features were overwhelming, but on the lg website measuring first was an important fact I initially didn’t consider. We had side to side set up and depth was limited to 27” so we were locked into 4.5 cu ft washer. Looking at the lg options the WM5500hva has a beautiful modern appearance, simple to understand controls that provide all the feedback for what is happening during the wash, plus the app informs you of when the wash is done, when to clean the drum with instructions and many other features. It has all the top features LG offers except auto detergent dispenser. We especially like the fact that the AI assesses what’s in the wash and chooses the correct setting depending on size of load and type of fabrics. Then it provides the info to the dryer so the proper drying cycle is chosen. My wife says the cycles are much faster and the clothes are coming out cleaner. This washer is amazing and fun. We can add or remove different washer cycles customized to our specific needs. I’m a bit of a techie so was fun to program Beethoven’s 9th symphony to signal end of wash. Extremely pleased with our purchase: washer, matching dryer, two stands and installation parts, Best Buy total protection saves on install, removal, and provides extra warranty. Delivered and Installed 2 days after purchase, Overall an expensive but excellent purchase and hopefully will perform another 20 years. Very pleased and would recommend the product if it fits and you want the latest technology from a reputable reliable company.

Awesome, quiet washer. There's a ton of modes so go through them and figure out what works best for you. The app lets you monitor and know when the load is done. Nice large capacity. Clothes come out nice and clean.

Nice washer but digital controls could be better. For everyday used the controls are okay. There is not too much to adjust. I miss the older models with buttons and turn nobs. The clothes seem to get cleaned and no complaints. It's kind of cute being able to change the tone of the finish cycle. A little touch that makes hearing the tone feel a little jolly.

I bought this unit after a black Friday sale for $650. It does everything a washer suppose to do. Quiet and smooth in operation. I really like LG app for notifications when the washer is finished.

This is an excellent machine that is a huge step backwards from previous, highly rated models. The interface is truly bad on many levels. If the presets do exactly what you want, you're golden since it is mechanically splendid. A significant number of customizable features are actually blacked out on the display screen. If you don't already know they're there (Steam, Options, Extra Rinse, Delay Start, Fresh Care) and know where on the blank panel to press you're toast. In addition, you can't actually save any modifiers (including temp) to the preset or to a user slot so you can wash the way you prefer without readdressing the hidden options. If all that were visually available like previous models, ok. For a completely display screen menu machine, insane. A bonus is that the smoked plastic panel makes the whole thing outrageously dim in a well-lit laundry space when the machine is on the floor. Eye-level, ok, but you have to bend over to clearly see everything you're interacting with. Not what anybody I know wants to do trying to crank some loads out. Saddest is that these are just some software and display mods that would cost the manufacturer precisely nothing and not change the aesthetics of the new design. Bottom line is that this is the perfect lovely machine for a lovely home where someone else does your laundry. Buy the previous model while you can still get it.

nice unit that seems a bit more quite than last LG unit. Simple design, easy to understand and use. Replaced older LG washer and was close fit except for round door, old one was square. Unit is very acceptable in looks next to older LG dryer.

I didn’t think that different Cycles could be so effective. This machine is done a great job cleaning clothes. It is not hard on them. I like that the app will enable you to download different cycle types for different washes. The connectivity is great. It’s pretty quiet as it runs. So far, all is very good. I am really happy with this purchase.

Finally, this LG just has a great fit and finish. You can tell that the manufacturing is well done by the clean text on the control panel and the satisfying click on the dial. After all is perfect for most families. It has the drum capacity, cleaning performance, and features to cover all the major laundry bases.
