Didn't need/want hi-tech features, because I'm simple, not a professional laundry service. This model is middle of the line, but very easy to use, quiet, efficient, made for tall folks (I'm 5'10") to reach the controls and the bottom of the tub (where all my socks like to lay and wait for me. It's a pleasure to do business with!

We've had this washer running for about 10 loads now since we purchased it. Its quiet, my clothes look clean and smell good, I like the settings, and its sleek for the capacity.

Large capacity, quiet and easy to use. Took some time to learn all the options but no big deal there. Clothes come out clean which is most important!

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews, before purchasing this LG washer. I have had it for one month, and fingers crossed, it is performing extremely well. It is easy to use, cleans clothes very thoroughly, is relatively quiet and seems efficient. After reading so many horrible reviews of new washers, I am pleased that this one, which was reasonably priced, has worked so well thus far. I hope it continues to perform. Highly recommend based on the performance to date.

This machine is quiet, seems to be efficient water wise and easy to use. The quick wash feature has been especially useful for my wife and I since we don’t do many loads. It only takes 30 minutes and the cloths come out clean and very dry compared to our old agitator washer. Because of the large capacity my wife now does half the loads we use to and each wash uses less water. Definitely a good decision.

We purchased this washer to replace an ancient machine that finally broke down. Our new LG wisher has a very large basket for the overall size of the machine. It offers a lot of cycles and other features, yet it is very intuitive to use. The machine is quiet and efficient. It cleans our clothes very well which, after all, is the bottom line for a washing machine.

My 6 year old LG front loader died on me 1 month ago. I’m so glad I opt’d for this top loader. I was worried how it would look with my front loading dryer. It looks great, love the tub size, how well it cleans our clothes & bedding and how quiet it is. I’m so glad I no longer have to deal with the mildew issue of a front loader. Very happy with my purchase!

I love this washer. It's quiet, efficient and can handle larger loads i.e. bedding. Water usage is low, so i was a little skeptical at first, but things come quite clean. The tub is deep, though, so if you're short, you might want to check it out in person, or have a little stool to stand on. I'm 5'3" and have to really stretch, on my toes, to reach small items at the bottom of the tub.

Instructions easy to navigate. Love the soft close in lid. Quiet. Big. Clothes come out so clean! Sometimes the spin doesnt seem to get clothes as dry as I would like. Sometimes the bottom of the load seems very wet. Im pleased for now. I have only been using about 3 weeks.

This is the first-ever washer (and dryer) I have actually purchased and owned. Every place I've lived in for the past 15 years has had a washer/dryer provided. I did a lot of research, including consumer reports on a new top-loading washer -- which aren't as common anymore these days. This one checked all the boxes, and unbeknownst to me, LG has essentially become the leading manufacturer of washers and dryers up there with Samsung at a fraction of the cost. Who knew? It takes a moment to get used to how this operates as it does an odd pause, and evaluation segment at the beginning of the load. This is how it determines how big the load is as it doesn't have a manual option to identify this, and how much water to use on the load. It would also be nice if the lid didn't lock, every old top-loader I've had you can open anytime. This is part of it's beginning evaluation and if you want to add more to the load, you have to push a button that pauses and unlocks it, which allows you to add more pieces and then it re-evaluates the size. All in all, excellent washer worth every penny. I gave it 4 stars because of a few little quirks.

Wasn’t sure about buying an LG Washer at first because it wasn’t one of the brands I was use to when it comes to Washing Machines. Glad I took the leap of faith, this washer is simple to use and pretty quiet when in use. There is no agitator in the middle but some how the clothes comes out so clean and smell so fresh. There’s also a quick cycle that just cuts the time for washing clothes in half

I like the fact that the washer top door slowly goes down without it slamming. It can handle a big comforter with no problem, the glass door allows you to see the load being washed. I do like the fact that you can download the LG Smart ThinQ app to diagnose any issues with the washer if needed. Noise level when washing a heavy load is pretty quite. The different wash levels are simple yet they work well, you do have the option to customize wash type. The chime that it makes when it’s done is is ok wish I could customize it, but it’s fine. Overall I would pick the washer again.

I recently moved, the old W/D did not survive the trip and went with this LG washer and its companion dryer based on price, availability, and size. My utility closet is on the shallow end and this unit fits perfectly along with the dryer. Some of the more deluxe models were simply too deep for my space, so this was a nice blend of smaller with nice features without being the super-cheap looking basic unit. The unit looks nice and performs well. It is quieter than the unit it replaced and seems to be very efficient with water use. The only con so far is after 4 weeks of use, it already threw an error code for a malfunctioning door lid lock. I could hear the switch struggling to lock and was able to manually tease the latch out with tweezers and then it starting working on its own again. No repeats of the issue, so I am hoping it was just some plastic flash on the latch getting in the way. I have the protection plan, but I would rather not repair a month-old unit. I will update my review if repairs are necessary.

I had a 25 year old washing machine and upgraded to this LG model. I love it! I didn't realize it was a HE model at first, but that's ok! It's extraordinarily quiet and easy to use. It washes very well and makes my laundry smell great! It uses just the amount of water for the amount of items inside. It fits a king comforter too. Highly recommend!

We recently (3 years ago) purchased a GE washer to replace a Maytag washer that was 18 years old. Imagine our surprise when only 3 years had passed and the washer failed. We made the trip to Best Buy because they not only have a good selection but all of the models on the floor are in stock. We needed something right away and after looking at several models we settled on this LG machine. It is a smart system with a direct drive drum. The washer takes the time to sense the load and its weight distribution, and then selects the right amount of water to add. It uses less water than some other models as well. It is very quiet compared to our previous machine and we have not had any issues with the load becoming unbalanced (something that plagued our previous GE machine). The washer has a glass top that allows the user to peer inside and make sure that everything is functioning properly. We are very pleased with the design and functionality of this model. The spin dry cycle does a great job of wringing most of the water out of the clothes prior to being transferred to the dryer.

Purchased this based on being a consumer reports recommended and top rated top loader. It washes very well. After a month and countless loads of clothes, bedding, pet beds and blankets everything washes clean. Very large tub and easy to use controls. Would recommend. Bestbuy delivery and install was very convenient.

This is a high-capacity, high-efficiency and quiet-running washer. It runs quiet and the chimes are pleasing. Because it is high-efficiency, it uses less water than standard washers, so don’t be alarmed. Instead, trust it to work the way it is designed to. I don’t recommend using pod-type detergent as they don’t always dissolve fully.

Pretty good so far. It's quiet, easy to use and the time needed to wash seems reasonable. The tub is HUGE -- without an agitator, it holds a lot more than my old washer. My only complaint is that (as noted by other folks using HE washers) I've had a few cases where the detergent didn't seem to rinse out completely. I switched to pods when I got this washer, and it's possible that I should have used one instead of two for those loads.

The first couple of washing loads I watched as if it was better than TV, it's COVID times so you know... I really was not impressed. It didn't really even seem to get the clothes wet. My husband was going to make me return it - but I was watching it wash 2 full sized heavy sleeping bags on the bedding setting. They came out fresh and clean, just my dryer complained so I had to put one by one and flip them around. (believe me these have been used for years and not washed for our annual camping trip) Then I washed my bedding with those synthetic spongy blankets that nearly knocked my old washing machine over and mixed the load with other basic blankets.. there's so much room you can pack things in! They were washed just fine. My husband's bleach wash did not come out clean.. I am working on trying different detergents, he's breaking some rules by adding more bleach and more soap to the washing, and I've figured out how to add more water so it's working better that way. My son's and my weekly wash is coming out nice and clean and all the videos I've watched on this washer explain how it works so I am satisfied.
