It replaced a washer that had design flaws that limited its life. This washer is extremely quiet and stable. It cleans clothes well and everyone in the house is happy. Now if it will last more than a few years, I'll be extatic.

BUT, it only uses cold water to rinse...you cannot use warm water! This was not discussed in the description. Cold water does not always get all the soap out. User should have a choice. And, my twin size medium thickness comforter did not get covered with water...had to poke it down. Did not clean it well. Old machine with same size tub did not have this problem. Clothes need enough water, and sometimes warm water, to get clean.
