I exchanged a different model LG 43" TV which had terrible sound quality, but a beautiful picture. This "smart" TV was an upgrade and I believe worth the extra $ in the long run. I don't care so much about the "bells & whistles" that come with the smart TV, I just enjoy the better sound quality - and it is better. My only complaint is that Xfinity/Comcast doesn't seem to have a code for the remote control that works 100%. I can use the "all on" button on the Comcast remote and it will turn both the cable box and TV on, but when I try to turn all off, it only turns off the cable box and not the TV. It does however change the channels and volume/mute. I have to use 2 remotes to turn the TV and cable box off. Until Comcast comes up with some new programming codes for LG TV' remote controls, I'll just have to use 2 remotes. I can live with that.

Picture looked great out of the box. I didn't have to change the picture settings all that much and I don't know that I really needed to. The colors are vibrant and look great. I got this tv on sale for $299. A day later it was back up to $379. It was well worth the money I spent and honestly it's worth $379. Mounted it on my bedroom wall and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. You can't go wrong with this tv. Even at its original price. When I upgrade my 60 inch I'll be going with lg without a doubt.

We purchased the 42" version of this TV about 2 years ago and really loved the quality of the picture and overall operation of the set. I even recommended it to a couple of friends. About 3 months ago, occasionally on startup, we'd get a frozen LG logo and no response to anything. We'd do the old unplug it for 30 seconds and try again and it would usually go back to normal. But as time went on, the problem became more and more regular and the unplug time to get it to reset became longer and longer until finally - it wouldnt reset at all. a google search shows this to be more than just a one-off issue - the web is full of similar comments and issues. the problem seems to reside in the non-power motherboard. hopefully they have corrected the issue since. Just proceed with caution...

Purchased another tv, which lasted 6 days. I just returned it and bought the LG 43" smart tv.
We've had it for a day, less than.
Very happy with this LG.
I'll try a follow-up as time goes on. Very good, very happy.

This is a great TV not doubt about it, I saw it in the store next to a bunch of other models and was like wow I want that one. Set up was very easy however my main dissapointment is that this does not support Hulu Live which for me basically defeats the whole purpose of a smart TV because I now need to purchase a fire stick to get Hulu Live.

I returned this TV and purchased a Samsung. The Samsung has a much better app selection. I am much more pleased with my Samsung. If you use Spectrum/Charter, Samsung offers an app where you won’t even need a cable box. LG/WebOS doesn’t offer such an app. The screen resolution seems much better on Samsung too.

Terrible picture

Picture is blurry, and no matter what aspect ratio I chose it won't fit the screen just right. Words are cut off or a big black box around the picture exists. Returning tomorrow.
