Best washing machine ever owned by far

This washer is super efficient and work’s excellent! I do appreciate using this and the matching dryer we bought, it’s top of the line!

Upgraded from a HE top loader - impressed with the drastically reduced cycle times compared to the machine it replaced. Has all the same cycles and features as the 6700 (aside from auto-dispense detergent). I prefer the tray layout and benefits of measuring my own detergents/softeners which the 6700 does not allow to be done for softener.

BEWARE - DO NOT BUY!

Let's take a look at ALL the things that are wrong with it, and I have only had it around 6 months. 1 - It gives a drainage error EVERY SINGLE TIME I wash anything. We have always taken very good care of the machine, including cleaning out any filters, etc. We have done everything to rectify this problem of having constant drainage errors. We now have to keep a vacuum next to the washing machine to "clear" the "clog" for a load to even finish. 2 - The screen on the front knob is unreadaable about half the time. (see photo) We have to unplug it to reset the screen. It will stay fixed for a couple of days and then become unreadable again. 3 - The machine WILL NOT DRY in AI mode no matter what we do. The clothes come out warm and soaking wet. The machine will dry on every other cycle, except for any of the AI stuff. So, please save yourself some annoyance and buy absolutely anything on planet Earth except this machine. We have someone "coming out to look at it". However, I don't see how they are going to be able to fix this lemon.

I only had it a couple of days but find it works fantastic. Love the wi-fi capabilities and alerts of cycle completion.

You are washing your things without detergent and it has very heavy smell I do not know why. I am so disappointed.

For this model, one helpful step is to remove the detergent and softener drawer and rinse it thoroughly under warm water, making sure the siphon caps are seated properly when reinstalled. It takes the guess work out when washing different materials. Coming from having the new GE washing machines that sounded like rockets taking off, LG doesn't have a lot of vibration noises when installed with pedestals.

I love the auto metering soap and fabric softener feature. I did a lot of research before buying and it seems this model has a good reputation for reliability and functionality.
