Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, ease of setup, price, remote control, and smart TV features. They appreciate the amazing picture quality, easy setup process, reasonable price, user-friendly remote control, and the overall smart TV experience. However, there are concerns regarding the legs being wobbly and difficult to install, the lack of a user manual, the TV's durability, limited smart features, and the quality of the black levels.

I upgraded my man cave from a 42" Sharp Aquos that was 10+ years old to this beautiful spectacle of crisp, vibrant and amazing technology. All the features a Scifi, action/adventure and heavy metal concert video kinda guy could possibly want! The remote is crazy cool and connected to & interacts with my ROKU, Dish Hopper, and blu-ray player with so much ease. The factory speakers sound great especially when synced with my 5.1 surround sound system. Easy to setup. Looks great from anywhere on my large sectional and anywhere else in the room. It also blows my other (living room) LG 48" 4k TV away. I am in love with this TV!!!!

This TV can produce a picture as good as the best TVs on the market. However, it is not a great all around unit. If you will be feeding this TV low quality source material or just want a great all around, no fuss TV, there are probably better options. The LG UK6090PUA is a better all around TV (with less dark scene black balance) but this is better for cinematic high res source material. This TV will produce true “inky” blacks and colors that truly pop with excellent depth and dimension. And the sound is equivalent to some of the quality stand alone sound bars. But if you watch old movies and TV shows, which are often broadcast below 1080 resolution, get something else. Lower res source material can be close to unwatchable. There is judder and image lag. The upscaling engine is just not as good as the 2018 6090PUA series, which I have and which caused me to buy this set. I am attaching pictures of the best all around settings I could come up with. Except even using these settings you might have to bite the bullet and turn TruMotion up to 2 or 3 to watch something like Rambo or Ghostbusters broadcast below true 1080i. The conventional wisdom of turn all of those effects off does not apply to this set. Just be sure to turn energy saver off, because this unlocks all of the other settings. I also like the magic remote. Mainly because you don’t have to point it at the TV for it to work-even when controlling the cable box with it. If you will be feeding your TV only high res source material, this is probably the best TV on the market. One more important thing to know is the magic remote pointer will stay on the screen too long. This can make it hard to use other remote control functions. All you have to do to get rid of the pointer is press the down arrow below the scroll wheel on the remote and the pointer immediately goes away.

    OMG, BEAUTIFUL picture! Samsung who?

I went in the store to buy a Samsung tv. The tech highly recommended this one instead. I went with his recommendation. 5 months later, I love this tv more & more everyday. The picture is absolutely STUNNING! Putting on a blue ray absolutely blew my mind at how beautiful the picture was. Everyone always says how gorgeous it is as well. The colors & lines are super crisp. The remote and home screen are fabulous! I’ll admit, the remote make it easier to get rid of your extra remotes but I haven’t played with it to not have to reach for the rest of the remotes at times. It’s really simple to program. The only downside is the stand it comes with. The stand absolutely sucks. I guess knowing most people will mount it made them not put too much money or thought into the stand. Especially if you’re mounting it, that really doesn’t mean much. The stand works & I haven’t had any issues. I would just be scared that one bump would make it fall over. Overall, I’m super happy with the purchase! LG blew me away & I forgot all about my desire for a Samsung!

Upgraded from a 10 month old Samsung 55”

I bought a Samsung 55” 6900 series earlier in 2019. It was OK, but it had some weird software issues that made it quirky to the point that I was looking for something better. The Samsung would randomly factory reset, it would stop remembering the last input used. The volume wouldn’t respond. It was random enough that I couldn’t reproduce the issue for tech support, but regular enough that it irritated me. So I did my research. I live in a small apartment and, truthfully, 55” is too big for my living room, but so be it. I chose LG based on reviews of the OS and picture quality. I chose the 7300 series over the 6900 series based on the ThinQ aspects including the magic remote. For a few bucks it seemed worth it. I also spent a lot of time looking at the competitors in the segment including TCL and HiSense. I was interested in both based on their price point and operating systems. But after spending time looking at them all in the store, I really didn’t care for them. This model was a really good fit based on my budget. I’d love an OLED, but not affordable for me. Yet. Plugged this in, did the updates, and it’s been great! I love the remote. I love the picture quality. The only two drawbacks (if you can call them that) have to do with looks. This TV has relatively large bezels. My old samsung had thin bezels, as do most models. And the other is the depth of this TV. Again, Samsung, TCL, HiSense all have paper thin TVs. This LG is definitely more “hefty” and reminds me of plasma TVs from years ago. While I don’t really care since I’m usually not looking at the cross section of the TV, it’s worth noting. But overall, I love this TV. Paired it with an LG soundbar and I have a very decent experience going and, for the price, I don’t think you’re going to beat it.

Very good quality. I have been using since six months. Only the TV needs 110 v ac so in case outside the USA it will need a voltage converter. The software in the tv is region specific so Alexa won't work outside the US region. So one may have to take help of LG service support. The magic remote is amazing. Best I have used so far. I was lucky to have gone for it else the standard remote feels very painful after using the magic remote now. It also connects to my LG soundbar. Overall an excellent purchase and true value for money.

I am amazed how easy it is to operate the TV. It didn't took me a long time to set it up and get it operate. The picture quality is excellent. Live like picture . The TV sounds speakers are great. Also, the TV remote control is easy to use. One negative which needs improvement is the TV stand. It made out plastic .I think if the stand made out of steel for more stability. Overall, I am pleased and happy about this purchase.

This tv is fantastic and available at a great price. Easy to set up right out of the box. With the internet wifi on and available, antenna hooked up, and my old firestick plugged into HDMI 1, I powered it up. The unit found 70+ over the air stations (more than the unit it replaced) and a hundred plus internet channels, along with my firestick. Had to enter my wifi password. Picture and sound quality well above what I was expecting. Super satisfied here.

After weeks of research on different manufacturers I decided on an LG and went with this model for the price, features and size. It was incredibly easy to set up and add all my streaming services as well as my xfinity. The quality is awesome since this is my first new tv in 8 years. My favorite part and the reason I bought it, is the magic remote. Think of it like a mouse on your tv screen. The only downfall is there are not enough rca plugs (just one), which plugs in the cable box. I have a DVD player and some other things I cannot plug in and will need to get something to make these work.

So quarantine came in an unfortunate time for our family. My son had just recently broken our TV while playing with his brother and we were waiting to save to buy a new fancy tv. We had a rude awakening when we were all forced to work and school from home. My youngest who is 3 years old needed a little distraction. (No tablets for him yet) We bought this TV for the price and based on the features that compared to some higher end ones. So far it’s amazing! We had a 70” 4K before this and we don’t remember it looking this good. Picture is amazing for the price. Sound is not great we might need a sound bar once our life goes back to normal.

Bought this tv on 1/9/2020 after extensive research, reading reviews and speaking to a few different salesmen at bestbuy about the pros and cons of different tv models. Spent $500 on this so I expected it to be a rather great tv and at first it was. It had a great picture, sound and I really enjoyed how easy it was to operate all the functions and apps it offered especially since I was exchanging from a Samsung smart tv. Now its 1/28/2020 and in the middle of watching something on Netflix and then all of a sudden the picture starts to fizzle then just blacks out. I still have sound but no picture at all. So first I try going to home screen, settings, other apps then just shut it off. I unplug everything including the power supply and just wait a few hours then plug it back in. When I turn it back on the power light flashes 3 times then steady however the screen is still black. I did some research online and many people said to shine a flashlight at an angle on the screen to see if you can see an image and when I tried this I was able to barely see it so what I found out is the backlight inverter has went out. This should not be happening on such an expensive, highly rated and brand new tv that I’ve only had for 3 weeks!! So of course I contacted bestbuy to see about just exchanging for the same thing, however I found out that I missed their return/exchange deadline by just 3 days as it is only 2 weeks, even if you have all the proper paperwork and the tv malfunctioning isn’t even your fault!!! So guess I should of forked out the extra money like they want for their geek squad protection. The sad thing is a week after buying this tv I purchased the same one in the 65” size, however I did spend the extra to get the bestbuy warranty on that one, I just pray it lasts longer than 3 weeks!! So now I’m stuck with trying to figure out how to get a brand new tv fixed which I’ve heard LG customer service and warranty program isn’t the best, plus I’m going to have to pay extra now on an already expensive tv, since bestbuy has one of the worst return/exchange policies ever! Not a happy customer and this is the last time I’ll buy a tv from them!

Previously I always purchased Samsung Televisions and was very impressed. I decided to take a chance and not be too old fashion and buy a couple 55” LG ThinQ TV’s. Upon setting up the first one I wasn’t thrilled with the instruction manual. The manual didn’t make clear whether I should register the TV using Alexa, Google or LG... I chose LG because of the extra channels offered by LG. I’m still a little unsure of the correct way this should be done. Nor Alexa or Google work as described in the manual. I tried every way to re register the TV using each of the platforms. If I try using a Google command a menu pops up showing the options available but doesn’t complete the task, even something as simple as changing the channel. It will display a list of recommendations instead. According to the manual I should be able to change the settings and most of the features of the TV. I finally got tired of messing with it so I don’t bother. It’s not like I don’t know how to set up smart devices because my house is full of every smart device you could think of. They’re pretty straight forward. I still love the picture and sound quality. I also use the Internet and Netflix on a daily basis. I’m very impressed with all the channels I get through LG as well. I have no need for cable and pretty satisfied. Just wish I knew the correct platform to use so I could utilize voice control correctly

I compared the UM7300PUA and the RU7100, and this totally outclasses the Samsung. It's much lighter at 31.3 lbs vs 39 for the Samsung, and the picture looked better at the store. Plus, it already works with Alexa/Echo Dot, Google Assistant, and soon, HomeKit Siri. Alexa took a lot of tinkering to get working, but I finally got it, after renaming the TV to "LG" in the Alexa app. Now, my Echo Dot responds to "Alexa, volume 20 on LG".

This is truly the first Smart TV we have gotten and putting to use. If you're looking for just plug-in and use, yes this would work, but seeing that we "Cut-the-Cable", it is taking a bit of time to figure out all the things you can do with this smart TV. To me, it is like learning a new software program without tutorials or users manual. You have to get everything on-line or trail and error. Only thing we do not like are the feet supports with it being top heavy. It would be nice if the manufactures would start including wall straps to secure.
