Probably works well enough if the sun doesn't hit the room directly.

Started off bad

It is more involved than just placing it in the window and calling it a day. You literally take it out of the encasement at one point, but on the plus side, you’ll know how an AC is made! That was kind of cool. 2- turned it on and it was shaking and very loud. Contacted LG and they sent a technician out. Either got damaged in the shipment or assembly error from what he said. 3- once fixed it has been fine. There is a light hiss, but that’s pretty typical. Not as quiet as many reviews I saw stated. Overall satisfied now, but was initially a headache.
