Many also find the range aesthetically pleasing. However, some users have noted that the controls take time to get used to, and the timer could be louder. Don't Do It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great product for stove top cooking . . . certainly better than a hot-plate. You can probably broil something successfully in the oven. There is no heating element on the bottom of the oven, so if you want to bake or roast something please use your other oven. This is a complete waste of a lot of money! Thank you!

Not exactly what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching reviews on ranges in my budget I settled on this little number. It replaced a 20+ year old Whirlpool cooktop oven that was 1) not cooking properly 2) last appliance to be replaced with stainless steel exterior. I like the convection aspect of it as it has produced some tasty cakes and breads. Not the best for cookies. The cooktop is a little harder to keep shiny as my last one. Can become streaky and spotty if you do not use the right cleanser. I am not a fan of the quick clean feature as it does not clean all that well, especially run over spills that cooked on bottom. Another feature I am really not impressed with is the timer "music". Honestly can not hear it and there is no way to change it to a buzzer or turn up volume. I have to set another timer so I do not miss it if I am in another room. The oven also makes a lot of popping and quirky noises while it is heating up or cooking, not sure why but it does. I hope for many years with this oven as I did with my Whirlpool and through trial and error I hope to get to know this oven even better when the holidays roll around.

Beautiful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This stove is awesome and works so efficiently. I love it! As well as beautiful, it cooks so evenly and is so easy to use. LOVE the fact that it has 3 shelves. I thought I'd miss having knobs. BUT, the touch panel is so easy. I found I don't miss the knobs at all. This stove is fabulous!

Beautiful stove
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've wanted a convection oven for years and I love this one so far. It cooks things fast and heats up quickly. Now I only need to teach my Father in law that you can't cook on the warming burner

Conventional/Convection oven is a nice feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool electric conventional stove. I choose this LG LRE3083ST conventional/convection oven. The first thing I noticed is that the LG cook top has a shiny surface compared to a more of a mat finish on my old Whirlpool. This shinny surface is not forgiving for finger prints or any slight greasy messes etc.... So, before using your stove, buy a bottle of the cook top cleaner and clean your glass cook top with it, (recommend in the user manual). It primes cook top to better, I think it has some wax to shine the stove top and to handle grease splatters clean-up. However, I did noticed that I did still have to put some elbow grease when cleaning up cook top even after 1st use. For the most part you can use baking soda and hot water to clean cook top, then use cook top cleaner in between cleanings to give it a more waxy shine when needed, (YOUTUBE LINK: how to clean stove top with baking soda. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjVxtKgy8gI) I also noticed that this cook top heating elements are more powerful than older oven, I would usually have my burner set at #7 or #8, with this I had to cut back to #3 or #4 for same result. My husband learned the hard way when making bacon, with-in minutes the house was smoking with burnt bacon having heating element set at #8. Also, I like the fact that I can choose between the “bake” setting and “conventional bake” setting. I make my own breads and bake a lot. Bake setting will allow you to set oven temp from 170°-550° the fan is not on as often, and you cook/bake as usual with a conventional stove; whereas the convectional bake setting has oven temp from 300°- 550°, fan will run more often and it will also automatically convert your oven temp 25% lower because convection cooking will cook your food faster. I baked my bread at 350° “bake” setting and it came out perfect! Oh, and this oven even has a proof setting to rise your bread too! I thought that was kind of neat.

Oven is great, cooktop not so much
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this range for 8 months. The oven is fantastic and the convection works good, not great like higher end models. I use my range just about everyday . The cooktop gets Hot very fast , but trying to simmer or make a sauce is just about impossible. The glass stays too hot once you turn down the heat and once it cools down , like on Low, its not hot enough..

Many features to love
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This oven has many features that other ovens offer for a great price. I love the fact that the annoying beeping noise has been replaced with a much nicer sound. The warm features for the stovetop and oven are great along with the proofing feature. The convection oven cooks so much more even than normal ovens. Highly recommend this oven.

Will never buy an LG again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this stove 10 months ago. Have had the Mother Board replaced three times. This last time the repair guy said he was deeming it unrepairable. LG won't replace it, so I said "never mind, give me another Mother Board." Now LG won't do that, either, because they have documentation that it is not able to be fixed! So, I am left with an oven that, for example, when it is set for 400, it could actually be anywhere between 300 - 400. Very difficult to cook / bake with such an inconsistent temperature! Anytime I call LG, I get the run - around.

Average Oven
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not a bad stove its just not the quality I expected. The panel where you set the temp etc is very cheaply made. When you press the whole panel presses with it. In addition the drawer where you store pans is very thin metal. If you push too hard it feels like it would dent. Cooks nice, would like some other type of feature besides the letter HT to show hot cooktop. Most people don't look at the letters then decide to touch. The cooktop should stay red until it is cooled off. This would avoid the worries of kids touching.

Worked great for 5 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lg stove worked well for 5 years. Now I'm getting a f7 error after doing a self cleaning. Appears to be a some kind of control board issue. The oven doesn't work anymore! Typical for corporate America these days. Can't have anything last more than 5 years. Other things I don't like is the paint chips and scratches easily. For 800 dollars I'm sure you could spend less to get the same results.

Great Oven
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been using this oven for almost 2 months. So far no problems. The oven plays a cute tune once it maintains proper temperature. The large window is very nice for viewing while items are baking. The burner that can heat as a small or large burner is a plus. After just a few weeks we had to use the autoclean cycle and it worked very well.

Terrible repair rate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this range for 2.5 years and now it is junk. I had to have the glass top replaced 5 days after warranty ended for $500 and now at 2.5 years it would cost another $800 to replace the broken electronics, so I will be looking for anything but LG. When contacted LG would do nothing about it.

I'd never buy this unit again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This very attractive stove has been a big disappointment. The oven is very uneven in temperature, and, though I've not bought a new oven thermometer yet, it takes a long time to preheat and even then I'm sure the temp is not as high as I set it. The storage drawer where I'd typically keep pan lids is only good for things like cookie sheets as it is quite shallow. Even though the top of the range says it's level, everything I baked is slanted and the baking is uneven. That said, the thing I really struggle with daily is the style of controls for the range. Good luck trying to figure out what the right setting is! And, frankly, pushing the buttons is none too comfortable for my 65 year old fingers. I cant imagine an older person with impaired vision and arthritis working it. I don't think the thing will last long enough in this household for it to become an issue, though I hate to admit to my spouse that I've made such an expensive mistake--It was my idea to get rid of our perfectly good stove just because it was white and I wanted stainless.

Great appliance for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been just over 1 year and I'm really enjoying this product. Especially the oven. This appliance replaced a GE Profile / Slide-In stove which the oven on that appliance was too small. I am thrilled with the over space, big window and most of all the convection. The glass top cleans pretty easy by using one of the products recommended. The downside to this appliance is the paint on the outer edge of the top and the section between the glass and backsplash scratches very easy. And the top burners when off, still indicate Hot Surface which is good, but I find it takes a while to completely cool. I would recommend this product for the price and function capabilities.
