    Terrible LG service, Best Buy no help

    When we received the TV, it could get Disney but not Netflix or the LG channels. I called LG service and spent 2 hours on the phone trying different things out to no avail. The service agent assigned a case number. She told me to call back the next day to arrange for a service call or replacement TV. When I called the next day, the new agent refused to look up the case number, instead saying he would fix it the right way. After 80 minutes with him, it no longer received Disney or the other apps, then he disconnected from me. I called back and left him a message which he never returned. That night I received a request by email from LG to rate their service, I answered the questionnaire in detail and rated their overall service grade 0. LG responded by saying thank you for your response, we will no longer send you emails. The next day, my wife called service because I was getting flustered with dealing with them. The woman she talked to wanted to run through all the same steps to try to fix the TV. My wife refused to and demanded service get set up as promised. The agent gave her the phone number of a local contractor to contact for warranty service. When I called them, they told me warranty service needs to be scheduled by LG, not the customer. I am sure the service agent was aware of this when she gave the number to my wife. Best Buy was no help. They told us if we wanted to return the TV it needed to be in the original box which we threw out on garbage day when we assumed we were getting service to fix our problem. We bought a Fire Stick and now get all the apps except the LG channels.

    After three delivery cancellations on best buy part, and numerous, numerous calls to best buy to only find out the tv was out of stock. Finally, decided to go to store and see if in stock in Round Rock. Picked up and low and found out that tv was an open box, which was never mentioned to me. This was a gift to my disabled brother who is bedbound. Three reasons I know it was an open box. 1) excessive tape on outside of box, 2) no protective coating on frame of screen, 3) when opening up Netflix app there was a user name of Todd already set up. Hmmmm. I am very dissapointed in the whole delivery method. First delivery told truck was stolen, second delivery,no reason, just reschedule, third delivery, email stating driver and drivers name shown would arrive at 10:45. Called me said he was from best buy, kept saying hello repeately, i kept responding hello, i am here over, and over, he then hangs up on me. I call back 8 times, get vm. Finally, call him back and he said you need to call best buy and reschedule bc your item is out of stock. Why did i get a msg from best buy in the first place if the tv was not on truck. Who was this guy? I am perplexed about the whole situation. Who would want to set up a time for a fourth delivery with this kind of service. Money was taken out if my account the day i purchased tv online back in November.

    Tv has great picture. But the software is so slow. Owned the tv less than a year and the screen developed a line across it. It was under warranty so LG did a complete refund and let me keep the tv.

    Straight on the picture was good, if I take 3 steps to the left or right, the picture loses most of the color. The price is great, but if you care about the viewing angle then look elsewhere. I returned it the day after it was delivered.
