Customers are saying
Customers regard the 75" Class UM6970PUB Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV's picture quality as very good, making it a great TV for the price. They also appreciate its large screen and easy-to-use interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the remote control's button placement, the limited number of apps available, the low refresh rate that can cause blurriness, and the sound quality, recommending a soundbar for better audio.

Hesitant: I was, but this TV is brilliant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was debating multiple TV's during black friday and very weary of black friday sets as they tend to reduce features. Not the case with this LG 75" TV. The picture quality is stunning for the price paid $729. However it took some time to calibrate appropriately and thought I would share my experience. 1. First turn off tru motion to get rid of the soap opera effect. Settings--> all setttings--> Picture mode Settings--> Picture Options--> TruMotion 2. I calibrated the Picture settings to the following under the APF option. Note this is to preference, I have a bright room during the day so I had to adjust appropriately. a. Backlight 100 b. Contrast 92 c. Brightness to 50 d. Sharpness to 20 e. Color temperature to C17 3. Make sure you apply these settings to all inputs Settings--> all settings--> Picture mode Settings--> Apply to all Settings Picture : Overall the picture is excellent, I struggled at first because the edges of the screen appeared to be dim, this is probably the one issue I have, you will most likely not notice this. What I did, and I'm not sure it worked but psychologically it did was carefully rub the edges of the screen with a cloth applying slight pressure this appears to have improved this effect. Remote: It does not come with the magic remote so be prepared to control your dish network with your current remote, apparently the magic remote will do handle this. I'm ok using two remotes but may upgrade in the future Sound: Sound is much better than my previous LG television, quite loud actually. Neighbor purchased 65" OLED on the same day for $2100, frankly his picture is slightly better but not for $1300 more and my screen dwarfs the 65". It is awesome, I do have a large room to place this in but you will not be disappointed. This is a beast of a TV weighing in at ~78 pounds and just big, get some help to put this on the wall. Need at least 2 people. Bells and Whistles: Apps work just fine, despite other reviews, connects to phone for mirroring but it wasn't quite obvious how to do this, you will have to google to get this to work effectively, very easy to switch between apps. Again make sure you apply picture settings to all inputs or you will find the entire picture to be off from app to app, this had me going around in circles for the first few days. Hope this helps

Buyers beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is great, yet .... before you buy this (or probably any LG Internet connected TV) be aware of LGs privacy policy. If you accept it (a quick one click during setup or after an "update" and you allow them complete access to collecting your data and that they can use it any way they want, including selling it, etc. If you don't sign, it renders the TV useless for all the advertised benefits and it's no more than a big monitor. Nowhere does it say so in their advertising. I filed a complaint with my State Attorney General and I encourage everyone who's fed up with these intrusions into our privacy and making money off it to do the same.

Too long on standby for online purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is fine, but my bad comment is because I was given the tv a long time after I applied for, in fact, I had to do it twice because as it had been exhausted in the store requested, it spent a lot of time on my order in process and I was just waiting for a couple of hours, terrible experience that I had for me.

Worst TV i ever bought
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in November 2019. 1. It keeps shutting itself off at random times 2. The volume mutes by itself and when you try to get the volume back it turns the TV off. 3. The screen goes black at random times (not shutting off) as the red light showing its on comes on and blinks but no video but audio is playing. I thought after a couple of months it would go away but it's getting worse. I have to keep turning it off and on sometimes 5 times a day. I would not recommend this purchase. Please note I bought a 79 LG in my living room that works great but this one sucks.

Didn't last.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased Mar 25, 2020. As of May 2021 it has started pixilating. Blinks out, comes back. And of course two months outside of standard warranty. Nice while it worked, expected better from an LG though.

Wifi issues...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is okay, however it will not connect to the wifi for longer than an hour. It will disconnect and not reconnect for at least 2 hours. We ended up plugging it into the router directly, however it is very inconvenient.

Posted .We are continually working to add the latest streaming applications, such as HBO Max, but cannot provide a concrete timeline right now. In the meantime, our webOS platform offers over 600 apps including streaming content and games - including over 180 free streaming channels via the LG Channels app. Also, you can access much of the HBO content through the Amazon Prime, YouTube TV or Apple TV+ apps that are available on our platform. You cannot cast to it
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst smart TV we ever bought. The built in apps are subpar and you cannot cast to it, either you need to use your phone and download their app which only works 10% of the time and only with videos that are saved or if you try from the computer you will get "Source not supported." I wish I bought the Vizio I was looking at because I have a Vizio and every video I want to cast to it I can, there is no need for extra applications and I never get the "Source not supported" message. If you are looking for a TV you can cast to then DO NOT buy an LG.
