I've only used this to play music through my laptop and upload audio files from my CD's. I plan to use it to save audio and video; will try to remember to add to this review later! The only negatives were that the instructions were sparse: I sometimes need to be told how to operate a piece of hardware, and I don't know whether I actually NEED the included software or not!

This is by far the best external DVD drive I have ever owned! It is super quiet while operating also!

The DVD drive in my PC died. I use this PC on my TV in the living room and use it to watch DVDs. I bought this item as it was cheaper and easier than replacing the PC. It is so simple to use, just plug in the provided usb cable to the PC and watch your DVD.

Running a Mac mini so, no onboard CD/DVD burner. Bought the LG. Plugged it in and started burning right away. Easy to use and love the fact that it has an eject button on it. Just in case the computer doesn't send the command.

It's a good cd player. I bought it so that I could transfer medical data from a CD to a medical portal and it worked very well. Price was reasonable. I would recommend this product

This LG DVD is one of the top value choices available, in my opinion. These go on sale periodically, at BB, so watch for a sale if you are in the market for one. Mine has performed flawlessly since I got it.

It works great. I would recommend this since the laptops doesn't come with DVD RW/CD-RW on them anymore. I loaded my tax program and it worked just fine.

Simply plug into Mac mini USB port and it works fine.

I love my new cd/DVD drive!!! I copy a lot of CDs so I have them in each vehicle & I like 2 download them to iTunes 4 my phone, so this was 1 of my favorite purchases! Now just figure out exactly how it all works! Lol! Not computer savvy at all! Always enjoy my best but purchases!

We were looking to make a home dvd with pictures and after reading reviews between this one and the Apple one we decided on this one as it had about the same review and way less cost! Glad we did. Was fast and great quality.

My daughter wanted to play dvd's on her mac. Everyone streams now, so her mac did not include a dvd drive. This was the perfect add on for her! She is watching all her favorite dvds again and now has entertainment for camping and trips!!! Right size right price too!!!

Easy to use, just need a usb hub or similar since it is not usb-c for the Mac air use. Works perfect though, no installation required- plug n play.

Great product- we have Apple devices and no way to play or make copies of a CD if needed. Easy to use, got the job done. Price is a little high for only needing to use it a few times a year.

It's a bit flimsy and doesn't feel as substantial or high quality as the Apple drive; then again, it's about half the price. It seems to work well - had trouble importing one song using it, but other than that no hiccups. Not sure how well it would hold up to being transported around, though.

So, I got a new teacher computer and it didn't have a DVD drive. I needed one pretty quickly and this LG one was recommended to me by the salesperson. It works well. As long as it lasts, I will be happy. I did purchase a warranty (just in case).

Nice, Auto eject is wonderful, The speed is great, this is the step up from having the ejection tray that pop's out, which there is always a chance that you can break it.

The device works reasly well. I connected it to an apple Mac mini late 2012 vintage running OSX 10.8. As soon as I connected the device it started working perfectly. I use it to burn cds and to import my music from cds to itunes.

I rebuilt a computer which included a case that didn't have a front opening/slot for a DVD drive. This one fits the bill as it's small and light, and sits on top of the case. So far it's read every disc that I put into it.
