    Great cordless stick vac

There’re a lot of components when first unpacking, but don’t let it overwhelm you. It took about 20 minutes to differentiate where the pieces connect and read the manual. There’s a lot and I was a bit surprised since this is a vacuum. I do like how it comes with a base and slip pads under it to give a nice grip to the floor. I admit, I wasn’t sure how powerful this was going to be when I first powered it on. It was very quiet compared to my other vacuums. The normal setting seemed to do really well on my vinyl flooring. I used my other vacuum earlier in the week and was surprised with the amount of debris this picked up. I know this is going to do a great job keeping my house clean. I did try the turbo cleaning feature, but noticed the battery drained very quickly. It feels great in the hand and takes minimal effort to push on the vinyl floor. I was able to vacuum the stairs in my house with ease. Something I normally fear (of falling), doesn’t bother me anymore. Its ability to pivot and turn help significantly. I didn’t notice some resistance when I vacuumed the carpet areas upstairs. Not sure if it’s suppose to be like this, but time will tell. What I really like is that it can extend if you’re a taller person. Love the sleek and modern look. I like how you can open up the side panels to store the attachments. It’s a nice touch and shows the designers tried to make this top notch. Pros: Lightweight Powerful Quick charge Long battery Clean modern look Very quite 2 rechargeable batteries included Can hold all the attachments hidden away Wall anchor options Cons: Have to purchase replaceable waste bags Can suction a little better under normal setting Overall: I highly recommend this LG cordless vacuum. It’s a tad on the pricey side, but how often do you purchase vacuums? It’s super quiet, so I’ve been able to use it while the kiddos are sleeping. This should last a few years!

Convenient all in one, but not Perfect

This thing has a certain aesthetic, either it will fit in with your modern décor or be a great talking point next to the pantry. The LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower is an amazing idea, that almost lands a perfect score in my mind, but a few of the design decisions make it not so. Overall, it’s on par with other stick vacuums I’ve used but the tower is a great addition to the overall design. Pro's • Tower keeps everything organized and ready to go. • Easy to use and maintain. • Light weight. • Removeable batteries. Con's • Vacuum power is low, even on turbo. • Tower Bags are added expense. • Lots of Tool heads, only use 2. My favorite feature about the LG Cord Zero is the rechargeable batteries, and the fact you get two of them is fantastic. There is rarely a need to swap batteries, as the All-in-One Tower charges both batteries while not in use, so even when one runs out, the 2nd battery is fully charged and ready to go. No down time waiting to charge a battery or finding out the battery is dead when you need to clean up a mess. Additionally, if you setup the ThinQ app, it will notify you once the battery is fully charged or if the tower needs an action such as the tower bag is full. Pretty much no down time or guess work with this vacuum. The Auto Empty feature is amazing, why don’t more stick vacuums have a feature like this? But the biggest downside of this feature is the non-reusable tower bag design, a convenient yet added expense to an already high-end product. If the tower had a bin or reusable bag, this would be an almost perfect design. As the alternative is just manually emptying the stick vacuums bin into the garbage, which is easy to do, this required cost to use a time saving feature takes a star away for me. Others may find this time savings worth it, but I prefer products that are designed to waste less over being convenient. The Kompressor, which is just a lever on the side to help press down the debris that has been collected, is a genius addition to a stick vacuum. It keeps everything compacted together so you can fit more in one go and when emptying it manually, the compacted junk stays together for a quick empty. The filters on this catch most, if not all, of the dust and particles picked up by the vacuum. The stick vacuum itself has a 5-stage filtration system, with two of the filters being washable as well as the fine metal filter in the bin. If that’s not enough, the tower also has a 3-stage filter for when using the Auto Empty feature, that keeps the dust sealed away and not back in the room. The filtering on this vacuum is very well thought out. This was the first stick vacuum I have owned; I’ve only lightly used other stick vacuum models before but never owned one. So, I was a bit underwhelmed by the performance of this type of vacuum. It is good for light messes such as dust, dirt, and pet hair. But it struggles with the bigger pieces of junk on the floor like pebbles or sticks. I won’t be throwing out my old, corded vacuum any time soon due to the LG Cord Zero, but I’ll be vacuuming a whole lot more often due to how easy it is now. Overall, the LG Cord Zero with the All-In-One Tower is a great stick vacuum combo, with a lot of thought and effort put into the design to be as convenient and easy to use as possible. But I am still going to keep around my old vacuum due to the mediocre power of the stick vacuum and will keep an eye out for a reusable tower bag as I want to be more economic and environmental. Would recommend it if you need an easy to use, convenient, and light duty vacuum.

I recently purchased this vacuum, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This vacuum has outstanding suction power, making it incredibly efficient at picking up dirt and debris from both carpets and hard floors. The design is sleek and lightweight, which makes it easy to maneuver around the house. Additionally, the vacuum comes with various attachments that are perfect for cleaning furniture, stairs, and even tight corners. This vacuum has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and powerful cleaning tool.

The noise it makes seems to be well tolerated by the dogs and cats. The charge does not last very long on the highest power setting. However, it’s easy to use and not heavy, which encourages quick cleanups here and there.

My first concern when getting the LG CordZero vacuum was the size of the base station. The concern was real (mostly). The base station, where you hang the vacuum to charge is rather large. Not a lot larger than a full-size vacuum to be fair. Unlike a vacuum though, you have to plug it in, it has to have a couple of inches clearance behind it and about 8 inches of clearance on each side to open the attachment doors. If that wasn't enough, they recommend for it to not be placed on carpet because it might fall over. Now I don't have any hard floors near an outlet so I've put it on my low level carpet and it's fine. Just be aware that this is not recommended. One other item of note is that wherever you place the base station it is designed to not move around a lot. The station is heavy, about 25lbs. Pick a spot and leave it there. I've opened my review with this downer information because it may be a deal-breaker for you. I have had a variety of vacuums and it seems like anything made in this century is good so I didn't know why this would be any different. Here comes the laundry list of why it's different. This is my first cordless vacuum and I have to say, I'm immediately hooked. I can go anyplace in the house without being tethered and it feels good. Once you feel the freedom of no cord, you realize this vacuum isn't loud. Other than a little high pitched shreaking noise that doesn't seem to go away, it is amazingly quiet. To be specific, I registered it at 70db. If I went to the other side of a wall it was only 55db. I could watch TV while someone else was vacuuming the house. Compare that to a cyclone type vacuum that runs about 90db. I'm free to move about and I'm not killing my ears. The next cool thing is its suction. It's like magic. It had no problem picking up everything on my carpet. I have several additional floor rugs in the carpeted and uncarpeted locations in the house. The suction is so gentle that I can run the vacuum over the carpets without them getting sucked up and bent out of shape. Yet it picks up the dirt and dust. Magic! Now we get to the reason that we got this vacuum. We are old school folks and my wife hates the dust bins in all the vacuums. Opening it up to empty means getting a trash bag, putting the device inside and letting it drain so the dust cloud stays in the bag, not the air. The base station of the LG CordZero will automatically suck the contents of the cannister into a bag. No airborne particles to worry about. It is so cool! Yes, we'll have on-going maintenance costs to keep buying bags but for us its worth it. The battery life is good if you run it in normal mode. They estimate 40 minutes or so. It comes with 2 batteries so you'll always have a backup. If you run it in Turbo mode then it will drain in about 6 minutes. I haven't had to put it in Turbo for normal vacuuming but I did have to do it to cut my hair (I have a vacuum based hair cutting device). Because of it's small size (height) , you can get underneath a bed. Something only the robot vacuums could do. Also because of its small size, it doesn't generate a lot of heat in the exhaust. The attachments that come with the unit are sufficient but I wish it included a flexible hose. The attachments are all about a foot long or so. That means you have to hold the base unit where you want to use it. The base unit is pretty small so its easy'ish to hold but it would be nicer to have a flexible hose so I could set it down while dusting and such. You can purchase the hose separately though. Speaking of attachments, that brings me to something that bothers me a lot in the base station. The doors don't open all the way, 90 degrees. They open about 70 degrees so it makes it a bit odd to get to the attachments that are stored in the base. I'm looking at the hinges and unless those doors snap open, they don't feel right. Until I see that this is true, I'm not pushing my luck and having them snap off. In the end, the LG CordZero turns out to be quite a different vacuum. The pros way outweigh cons. My cyclone cleaner may be gifted to a friend. This vacuum is light, quiet, picks up the dirt, doesn't heat the room when doing hand vacuuming, and is gentle at the same time.

Great Vacuum Cleaner but the App is Broken

This review was a little tough because I wanted to review just the vacuum cleaner itself, but it is marketed as being a wi-fi product that interfaces with its own LG ThinQ app, so the fact that I cannot get the LG ThinQ app to work at all is a source of frustration that reduced my review from 5 to 4 stars. As far as the vacuum cleaner itself is concerned, it is very lightweight (compared to a couple cordless vacuum cleaners that I already have) and seems to have very good suction. Another really nice thing is that the vacuum cleaner does a very good job with bare floors. With some other vacuum cleaners, the rollers will "kick out" particles and dirt before it is actually sucked up, which means going back-and-forth with the vacuum cleaner until the debris is actually picked up. That is not a problem with this vacuum cleaner. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it at first, but I really like the stand that it comes with. Other cordless vacuum cleaners require some type of wall mounting or the cord just dangles from the wall to the vacuum cleaner when charging. In this unit, everything is self-contained within the cabinet, making it look much nicer. I had to hide my other cordless vacuum cleaners in closets because they are unsightly when stored (and when charging). This unit sits right in the room in which I use it the most and actually looks pretty good. Another really nice thing about the cabinet is that it has doors on both sides that are used for storing the accessories. No more having to hide the accessories in a cabinet (or losing them as a result). Very well implemented! Kudos on that design! Another really cool thing that I did not even realize was a feature is that the vacuum cleaner itself empties itself when docked in the storage/charging station and is collected in a bag with in the storage/charging unit itself. The bag is not huge, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to fill up. The vacuum can be manually "dumped" before putting it back in the storage/charging station, though, which can minimize the number of times the bag in the storage/charging station needs to be replaced. The unit is shipped with two batteries, which is awesome. Furthermore, the storage/charging station accommodates and charges both batteries (one on its own and the other while it is inside the vacuum cleaner itself). I have no idea how long the battery lasts on its own during use as I have never come close to fully discharging it while vacuuming before plugging it back in to the storage/charging station. The main attachment (rigid tube with the cleaning head attached) was designed to adjust to different lengths, which is really nice as I am rather tall, yet my wife is not. I fully extend the tube and she keeps it shorter. Having used other cordless vacuum cleaners with a tube that is a fixed length, I cannot state how nice this is. Lastly, this is indeed a vacuum cleaner and all those features would be useless if the vacuum cleaner is ineffective and vacuuming. In this regard, I am very happy as well. While I pretty much always switch the unit over to "turbo" mode to increase suction power (I have never even come close to draining the battery while vacuuming my house, so it almost seems like that should be a default setting), the amount of dirt, pet hair, etc. picked up by the vacuum cleaner rivals that of my plug-in vacuum cleaner. The unit also includes a pet attachment that has a rubber roller that can be easily removed to clean. Again, the only thing that I found very annoying was that I have yet to be able to get the LG ThinQ application to work on my iPhone. I downloaded the app, installed it, and whenever I go to login using my LG username and password, the login information is deleted and it just sits at the login screen. (Sometimes I receive the error "oauth: signature fail", whatever that means.) Despite numerous attempts to uninstall and reinstall the app, along with trying different methods to login (besides using my LG information), I have yet to be able to login. Therefore, I cannot review the app and how it works with this vacuum cleaner, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to seeing the features within the app and seeing how it helps with maintenance of the unit. If the application actually worked, I would probably rate this vacuum cleaner with 5 stars. After spending time texting back-and-forth with LG technical support on the issue without any resolution, I finally gave up and have resigned myself to not being able to use the app with the unit. I suppose the app really does not matter all that much as it appears to be designed to interface with all types of LG appliance, not just the vacuum cleaner. Still... Very frustrating experience. So, in summary, the vacuum cleaner is great and the storage/charging stand really is well designed. I already have two cordless vacuum cleaners at home and this one will be replacing both of those. I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner and would recommend it to anyone, just as long as you do not plan on using the wi-fi feature in conjunction with their broken ThinQ app.

    My new favorite stick vacuum

LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower This is my new favorite cordless stick vacuum. It's super lightweight at only about 6 pounds. The handle is comfortable and the power and mode buttons are easy to push. It offers 3 power modes- Normal/Power/Turbo. There's also a battery indicator, clogged objects indicator, filter cleaning indicator and WiFi indicator. It easily pushes, pulls and maneuvers around the hard floors and carpeted floors. The extendable wand is also a favorite of mine to be able to shorten and lengthen the height while vacuuming to work with my needs without stopping is huge. You can even detach the stick and it's a great hand held vacuum for smaller spaces. To manually empty the bin, it's super easy to open and clean. There is a compressor lever that pushes all of the dirt and hair down off the filter and walls into the bottom. It gives you more cleaning time and it's easier for everything to dump out. The LG Cord Zero Cordless Stick Vacuum also includes a charging station. It's a whole tower that stores and charges the vacuum. It has great storage that houses all the accessory tools while also charging the extra battery, and will even automatically empty the dust bin. It has an easy-to-read display on the control panel. It will show you the dust emptying operation status, charging the extra battery or the dust emptying mode. I feel like it's impressive with what's included in the package. It's not just 1 battery but 2! There's a lot of versatility with the included accessories- a cleaning brush, combination tool and crevice tool. There's also the universal nozzle and mini nozzle, extra pre-filter and 3 dust bags for the tower. I currently own a LG washer and dryer that I have connected to their LG ThinQ app. It was quick and easy to add my new Cordless stick vacuum to the app. The app will be helpful by giving me a cleaning history, notify me to clean the filter, tell me what mode I'm in and has a smart diagnosis if I have some issues. I have the other well-known stick vacuums and I'm switching to this one. I love how lightweight and versatile it is with the telescoping wand. The stand is nice so I don't need to have a separate bin to store all of the accessories and it's always charged and ready to go.

A vacuum cleaning solution; not just an appliance

I like the direction the vacuum cleaner industry has headed recently. The move to lighter, bagless, and cordless has been welcome. The LG CordZero serves as a new entry into the fray, and it’s definitely a bit of a different spin on the concept. First thing you will notice about the CordZero is the size and weight of the box. It seems bigger and heavier than you would expect for a cordless wand vac. Open the box and you immediately see why. There is a tower-like stand that holds the vacuum, all accessories, charging station for additional battery, and a cannister cleaning system. There is minimal assembly required to set up the CordZero. There is an easy to attach base plate and a wall mounting loop to stabilize the unit. Personally, I don’t think the wall tie is necessary if the unit is on a solid floor (hardwood or tile), but on carpet, it can be a tad wobbly. With the base plate and the overall weight of the charging station, it is solid and sturdy. LG includes 2 batteries for the CordZero. This allows for extended usage. There is a slot in the top for charging the second battery – a very nice addition. Another important point to make is the CordZero charging station is very elegant and stylish, has a modern look. This is important because it looks good enough to practically store the vacuum cleaner in plain sight. I really like that about the unit. Pull out the vacuum itself and it fits the standard bill with one exception: it has an extendable/retractable wand. I loved that feature out of the box, even before using it. Everything else is straightforward and simple. The CordZero does have Wi-Fi, but using the LG app only gives current status of the vacuum. The other thing that stood out for me was the lever that cleans the filter ring. It’s used when emptying the dust bin. I have other cordless wand vacs, and I must say, if they had this one feature, it would be more than welcome. Another point of note is the battery is very easy to remove and replace. The ease of this operation is like almost like a hot-swap option. How does it perform? Admirably, but with a catch. The CordZero has 2 dual-purpose buttons on the handle with their primary function being power control. At the lowest power setting, the vacuum lasts for about 45-50 minutes, give or take. This may stretch out an additional 5 minutes or more once the batteries have been conditioned, but only time will tell. Most vacuum sessions in a home probably don’t last beyond that, at least not for me. The problem is that the lowest power setting is only suitable for my hard floor vacuuming. The suction and power is not suitable for my carpet. All of my common areas are hard flooring with a couple of area rugs in place, so this works. Bedrooms are a different story, requiring me to use the mid-level power option (turbo is the highest output setting). This cuts the time of use in half, and there are moments you feel the turbo option is necessary, significantly cutting into your time of operation. Because of this, the design of the CordZero and the inclusion of a second battery are both crucial and very thoughtful of LG. The design and approach of the charging station gives the vacuum a home, hence always charging it and your second battery. Add to that the ability of the charging station to automatically empty your cannister after usage, and it almost forces the consumer to put the vacuum in the station after use. One thing about the auto empty feature: it’s a bit on the noisy side, but it doesn’t take long to finish. Overall, the LG CordZero is a great vacuum cleaning system. It offers features that are welcome to those who appreciate organization and space saving, quick and easy cleanup after vacuuming, and extended use when necessary. For the easy, day-to-day cleaning jobs, this type of device is sufficient in most cases, but the one area I think most consumers look for a little more is in longer run time and/or more powerful suction on the lower settings. Don’t get me wrong, it gets the job done, but a consumer with a carpet filled home will burn through both batteries cleaning their house. With all that said, I still highly recommend the CordZero. Kudos to LG for a well thought out and useful product. It really checks a lot of boxes and solves some issues we as consumers have just accepted in the past.
