Built for gaming that’s for sure. Looks great while gaming, smooth 240hz, beautiful for a 1440p. Everyday use is ok not great. I game in a darker environment so brightness is not an issue for me. Gets plenty bright in my opinion. Very good deal @ $799. Great pc gaming, works well with my xbox and ps5 with 2.1hdmi

This gaming monitor exceeded my expectations with its vibrant colors, swift refresh rate, and razor-sharp resolution. The sleek design adds a touch of sophistication to my gaming setup. While the price is a bit steep, the performance justifies the investment. A definite upgrade for any serious gamer.

To keep things short, this monitor is fantastic. I personally don't have my monitor in a super bright environment so I don't see an issue with the brightness at all (I usually keep my brightness around 80%) plus the brightness with HDR gets insanely bright. Coming from an old TN panel really made this a night and day difference. I could never go back to anything that isn't OLED. The only few cons I have with this monitor is that the color calibration could have been better out of the box (I'd recommend watching Monitors Unboxed and Optimum Tech's video reviews on Youtube), the screen uniformity could be a bit better (I can tell the bottom of the monitor is slightly dimmer than the middle in most darker-desktop use, but it's not that noticeable) and there is definitely some text fringing (you can actually notice it quite a lot on the Best Buy website lol). Overall this is an absolute gaming and content consumption dream, and will be my endgame until LG releases a 27" 4k 240hz OLED. Just maybe worth waiting for it to go on sale I'd say, if this was going for $800, I'd say go for it immediately. It's that good!

This is honestly the best 27” QHD monitor available today for gaming but you do have to adjust some settings on the monitor and Windows to deal with brightness concerns. Text fringing is a thing until Windows Cleartype can accommodate the new sub pixel layouts, it doesn’t bother me much though. I recommend turning off the power save feature as this will do some dimming effect on screen. Adjust color preset to custom C1 as this will have the appropriate white color temp. I’ve been using Gamer 1 as this has best input latency. Only run this thing against Win11 in HDR mode and adjust the SDR brightness to be on the higher end. Use auto HDr for nonHDR games. Make sure to run the windows HDR calibration app and do HDR calibration if a game allows it. Be sure to turn on OLED screen care features for pixel shifting. Once you do these things the monitor is very spectacular and I can’t see myself using a non-OLED for gaming ever again. This tech is only going to get better. +points for the remote control to deal with settings menus instead of having to use an on monitor joystick to navigate OSD.

Awesome gaming monitor. The switching to an OLED display is a game changing. I was very skeptical on getting it because of the amount of reviews about the brightness but unless you play on a room that has sunlight it is not noticeable. My only complaint would be that the legs of the base are to big so it take quite a bit of space.

What more needs to be said… 240hz OLED. BOOM. All you need to hear It could be brighter, yes. But fire monster with a primarily gaming use case, it should be more than bright enough. If you want brighter, ASUS ROG has a new oled, exact same internal display, but goes brighter for the same price. Either way you can’t go wrong. It’s a beautiful and crisp experience

Great monitor. OLED panel technology is hard to beat with its infinite contrast and excellent colors. This is my first experience with a >144 hz high refresh rate monitor and I can say it’s quite amazing for FPS shooters and really any gaming that you can drive at that refresh rate. Its input lag is what really surprised me, though. With VRR disabled it felt amazing to have seamless movement translate directly from mouse movement. 4 stars because the HDR peak brightness is not the best but I suspect it is because LG wants these panels to last. They manufacture these WOLED panels so I bet they know their longevity best. Furthermore, there is quirky software stuff with the monitor such as vignetting in the outer edges of the screen that darkens the panel quite notably. I’m also not a huge fan of the matte coating as it introduces some haziness.

Overall great gaming experience on PC, on par with my 240hz ips but it looks amazing. Really smooth camera movements and decent colors. The brightness doesn't bother me but I would say that it is just enough. White backgrounds on webpages don't look as brilliant white as other monitors but the highlights in games and video look great. I would say skip it if you wear anything but clear blue blockers. I ran into one game that looked a little dim but realized the brightness was a little low in the game settings so easy fix. The monitor has a bug where it will get stuck in 4k on certain games over hdmi, limiting you to 120hz. People claim firmware updates fix this but that is not the case for mine as of writing this review. It's an easy thing to fix but unacceptable at this price point. I don't have any regrets about buying this one over the others that have the same panel.

After try Asus PG27AQN 360HZ and then this lg oled the LG OLED 240hz i way better on picture quality and motion clarity for games The screen brightness is great different that everybody is talking about it, i honestly don't even use this at 100% brightness. I only use 75% and is plenty, even during the day i would never go above 90%. Great colors do not do justice to this monitor, i need to say that the word is Amazing! Great purchase with zero regrets. This monitor will dictate in the future what is good and what is great! The future just begin with OLED monitors with this being the first true oled gaming monitor. And yes i do have a alienware qd oled, but the ultra wide form factor with only 175hz was not on pair with modern ips competition, but 240hz is the line that make butter smooth for fps games. Congrats to LG that bring true competion after years buying upgrades that get you a little more, this is a lot more. If you never saw one of this... just tried! You will understand then.

Excellent monitor if you are willing to spend the money. 0 ghosting and 0 tearing. VRR flicker is annoying but that seems to be common and its only noticble it certain games(can always turn it off). The OLED is fantastic for dark games in combination with HDR. Really enjoying this monitor. Make sure to take care of it to avoid burn in.

One Giant Leap For My Eyes

My use: gaming on mid-range gaming PC and Xbox Series X, 2-4 hours/day. I do not have hardware that can push the 240hz, so take that into consideration with my opinion on the monitor. Pros: - incredible picture quality - multiple HDMI outs - brightness pops better than other OLEDs I've tried, easy set-up, build quality is high, will feel like that "big" upgrade for anyone moving up from LCD Cons: power button/remote not at all responsive - I find myself having to press multiple times to get it to turn on, it's been more frustrating than it should be. had flickering issue after exiting a game that a monitor restart fixes but it's still annoying. Conclusion: If you're looking to pull the trigger on a big upgrade for yourself like going from 1080p LCD or a low refresh rate monitor I'd recommend it. If you've already got a decent monitor I would wait for the next iteration when some of the weird kinks have been worked out.

The brightness was really really bad. Enough to make me want to return one day after buying it, and I play in a dark room too. The colors look great because it’s an OLED monitor, but I just don’t really see a good reason to buy this one when the GS version is better in about every way and is cheaper. There’s also other monitors that are cheaper that you can get 360hz and they’re brighter and QD oled instead of WOLED. So I really wouldn’t recommend this monitor at all unless you got it for under $600 but even then it’s like if you pay $50-$100 more you get a much better product. I switched to the MSI271QPX 360hz OLED and LOVED it and have had no thoughts about returning it or getting rid of it any time soon. And this isn’t me telling you to get that one, it’s just there’s definitely better options around this price point for cheaper that are better quality and more expensive that are better quality, in terms of value this is probably the worst on the market in my opinion and I’ve done a fair amount of research. But again if you can snag this at a good price and you don’t mind the brightness then go for it. But I think with the brightness issues, and the fact that there are just better options now as companies have improved the OLED technology and this was the first OLED 240hz gaming monitor, at this point there’s just better options available.

The monitor is the smoothest gameplay experience for FPS I’ve ever had. It’s absolute butter it feels surreal. Biggest con is the brightness, HDR games look unimpressive compared to QD-OLED. For this price I wish it was a QD OLED at the same spec. If you don’t mind ultrawide I would go for Alienware QD-OLED instead.

I am coming from a 25" Dell 60Hz 1440p IPS. I was hesitant to buy based on the reviews of the brightness. The brightness is perfect for me. I bought it to use with PC and PS5 games. PS5 games look amazing especially MW2 in 120Hz. Movies look amazing, but make sure you are getting the right resolution. The optimal is to use a firestick. Using the web apps like Netflix, Prime, Disney+ will vary. Netflix under Chrome was giving me 1080. With edge I get 4K which downscales and looks amazing. As a comparison, I was looking at the Alienware AW3423DWF. I really wanted to take the jump to ultra-widescreen, but half my time is on PS5. I'd be playing with black bars on the sides and the chance of burn-in increases. If you have the money and are looking for a premium monitor with an amazing picture. Look no further.

OLED has really elevated games for me. Dark scenes are fantastic. There is some fringing on text, so I wouldn’t use this as a monitor for productivity as it’s not great on the eyes. If you’re only gaming though, this is a fantastic choice. My biggest complaint other than the fringing text is the remote has stopped working. It was nice to have while it lasted. Luckily the under screen controls are easy enough to use.
