It’s a great overall speaker the only issue I have is that it’s not waterproof rated and I got it for near our pool not a big deal because it is loud enough to be put far enough from pool

This is a very nice speaker. It was a gift and he loved it. It sounds nice. Looks nice and got some weight to it. We havent used it yet but ill add a picture so you can see the size. I also got a great deal on it. It came packaged well n in tact.

Daughter loved this Christmas gift. Sounds really good. It is a little heavy to be carrying around a lot but to move to one room or another or bring to a party is nice.

When I chose this, I didn't realize how big it was. Luckily, sometimes good things come in big packages. THE GOOD ~ Looks good: attractive lines, color, etc ~ Sound quality ~ Loud ~ Bass ~ Multiple light settings ~ Multiple connections ~ Portable ~ Many features on app THE BAD ~ I haven't found anything not to like THE MEH (Could go either way) ~ Proprietary charger ~ Won't fit in a smart car with 2 people? LOL OVERALL I absolutely love this thing. As I said, I saw a picture and read a little, but didn't actually look at the size when it said portable. So, I was a little surprised when a box about 2-feet tall showed up. Specs show it as 9.8" x 20.2" x 9.8" and about 13 pounds. The top is actually more like 6.25". Pairing the speaker to my phone was quick and straightforward. I was amazed at the sound quality. The music pumping through the speaker was rich and warm. I have several different portable speakers, and they're all decent to good. This XBoom 360 is great. If you want to change the sound, you can via the XBoom app. I don't see a need to change it yet. I love that I can change the lighting to a few moods (colors) or party lights (flashing the different colors) or no light at all. Besides a bluetooth connection, if you have a USB thumb drive with music on it (WMA & mp3), you can plug it in and play music directly from there. There's also an aux. in port so you can plug it in to the headphone jack of different devices. I honestly don't know how loud this speaker will get. I think I had it up to 40% and that was fairly loud for my small room. I haven't found anything about this speaker that I don't like. If I HAD to pick on something, it would be the power cord. It would be nice if it was USB-C or something for which everyone already has a car charger. All the same, I haven't run down the battery yet. It accidentally got unplugged for a few days and was still about full. The app is a MUST HAVE. Not because you need it, but because once you download it and play with it, you'll WANT it. It has a DJ scratch mode, FX, and a bunch of other features. The Big question is would I recommend this to someone? Absolutely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who doesn't want just a tiny desk speaker.

The LG-Xboom 360 offers quality sound that would be good for your next party, it has a long battery life and strikingly unique design that make it stand out for other portable speakers makes this a good choice for music lovers who need a wireless speaker option with better than average sound quality. The Bad: Takes 4 hours to fully charge, A/C charger port is on the bottom of unit makes it’s awkward to connect in certain circumstances. Not water resistant. With easy instructions set up was a breeze with just adding device via Bluetooth to your phone and then download the LG-Xboom app. The simple to use app has E/Q presets or you can customize your E/Q settings. I used the Bass Boom preset which prompted me with a tip from the app to turn off any E/Q settings with Music steaming app you’re using for best results, I continued to use it without changing any settings on the music app which sounded great but after using the app’s suggestion of (in my case) turning off the Hip Hop preset in Amazon Music it was noticeably better. After trying some higher end music streaming options like 360 Reality Audio & Dolby Atmos encoded music and just wow! Those formats produced incredible sound especially Dobby Atmos, with clear crisp highlights and distortion free bass even at max volume. This speaker is design for outdoor use and has an outdoor EQ option that adjusted the sound very well when enabled. Some other good features are the speaker’s mood lighting, mic input with Karaoke options, pairing it with another LG-Xboom speaker possibility, DJ mode with sound effects via the app & a aux-in port. I used it for about 7 hours and still had 23% left on battery. This would be a good choice for folks who entertain people at home or like to throw parties and want something with a light and DJ mode.

The LG XBOOM 360 is awesome, simple as that, just awesome. I spent almost 4 hours listening through it last night, via battery, yes, battery, and tried everything from Frank Sinatra to Marshmallow and even added in some Country, Rap and Death Metal. I wanted to make sure all types of music were covered for my review. The best part of the XBOOM 360 is easy portability and placement. Placement can honestly be anywhere with the 360 sound design. No matter where you put it, center of room or against a wall and even in the corner, the sound travels fantastically and sounds great no matter what. The built in light is one of my more favorite features as well, high light, low light and rave setting, not really called rave but reminds me of my yesteryears at the clubs and warehouses. The weight of the speaker is not as bad as other reviews state, unless you cannot lift a gallon of milk, you will not have an issue moving it around, it is not heavy at all. The carry handle is a great feature making it even easier to place around the room, garage, campsite or if you link up multiple, your own warehouse party. The battery has an expected 10 hours of use, I seen 8.2 hours but that was on a new battery that has not been cycled yet. Also, charging is fast as well via the included wall plug that plugs in with a 90 degree angle making room for the top plug to be easily used still. Sound output is no different between plugged and battery until the battery gets in the last 5 to 10%, you may get a decrease in bass response, I noticed a little less boom. The sound output is clear and has great bass for such a small speaker. Highs are clear and clean, mids and vocals are easily understandable and smooth then the bass hit hard when it needs too yet does not distort. The bass will not his below 35hz, it more turns into a speaker flutter sound, so, heavy heavy bass is not going to be super hard hitting. I was able to make it sound better via the equalizer on my tablet I used to control the speaker. The Bluetooth connects easy and fast, no sounds cuts or issues at all. The unit also has a headphone input jack which is nice as a backup nowadays. The LG DJ app is insanely fun with this speaker as well, I thought it was a gimmick but after 30 minutes playing with the app I realized I was having way too much fun. Also, the app controls the lighting features as well, the light studio is easy to use and change it to what you want. I am pretty sure if you buy this speaker, you will want 2 of them so you can be the DJ for your party at the campsite or in your back yard.

The LG XBOOM 360 is a great Bluetooth speaker. I first became aware of this product when I saw it featured in, of all places, a Katy Perry music video. After some online research I was so intrigued that I decided to buy one. This speaker does all the things that most other portable Bluetooth speakers are notoriously bad at: it sounds great (vibrant and clear in all directions), it works great (solid construction), and it looks great (like a glowing lantern). It has one tweeter for the highs and one 5.25-inch woofer/compression driver for the lows and mids, which are well-balanced with tons of rumble through the large, open port lower chamber. The sound is a bit flat and muddy at very low volume, but that is not what this speaker is designed for - it is meant to be played mid-loud, and it is still crisp at higher volumes although the bass can drown out the highs at certain equalization levels. Not audiophile level but very impressive for a package this size and at this price point. The omnidirectional speaker arrangement means that it sounds the same regardless of where it is placed (note that this is not surround sound). Just put it anywhere and turn it on, no configuration is needed after it is paired with another Bluetooth device or connected to a USB drive or the AUX input. The accompanying smartphone app is not required but is very easy to use for accessing additional features, including equalization and lighting settings as well as a fun DJ function and a battery level meter. At nearly 13 pounds it is still portable - with a nice solid carrying handle on top - but not something to travel with easily, which is fine because it is not rated for water resistance and also because its a little too nice to take to the beach or a campsite and get covered with sand or dirt. (Should you want to bring the party outside, there's an outdoor setting in the app that boosts the volume and tweaks the equalization to compensate for typical outdoor ambient noise.) The speaker case has a contemporary, inoffensive style - finally something that doesn't look like a boom box or a jellybean - and has a nice fabric covering so it can fit in unobtrusively with your home décor even when not in use. Depending on your sensibilities, it might even pass as a work of art because of how LG has managed to combine form with function. Since I got it, I have been using the XBOOM 360 all day, every day in my home office at about 35% volume, which is just loud enough to gently enjoy the bass but not so loud that it will annoy everyone in an adjacent room. If you have the budget, two of these speakers can be twinned to play in sync but only in mono - stereo is not supported. (Unboxing note: unbox standing upright, do not lie the box on its side.) There are things that could be improved in the app, such as adding the ability to save several custom equalization settings, but the speaker itself performs its primary function - making sound - extraordinarily well. I never imagined how good a portable speaker could sound, and this LG is well worth the money if you want to ditch your crummy tabletop Bluetooth speaker and step up to something that you will enjoy listening to for hours on end, whether your pleasure is Katy Perry or Fleetwood Mac or Frank Sinatra or Mozart - they all sound awesome.

--- SETUP --- The setup for this portable speaker was quick. First, plug it in and let it charge for 5 hours. You can use it while it is charging. Once fully charged, you can unplug it from the wall and use it wirelessly for about 10 hours. --- FEATURES --- The key feature of this speaker is its 360 omnidirectional sound, mood lightning control, and DJ effects via the companion app. --- PERFORMANCE --- This speaker quickly became my favorite speaker to leave in my vehicle. I am a salsa/bachata instructor and as such, music is a big part of what I do. This speaker is the perfect combination of portability and sound power. For my private students, I love the wireless connection, as I can control the music from my iPhone or Apple Watch without having to go to the speaker. I use the DJ settings to keep students on beat, as one of the DJ settings (DRUM 1) is a cowbell. This is perfect to help students find the 1 or down beat on salsa songs. When I am not teaching salsa classes, I am at dance parties. These parties happen anywhere from other dancer homes to public parks. As previously mentioned, this speaker performs great indoors as well as outdoors. The app allows for customizations for the equalizer as well as lightning moods. There are three mood categories in the app: Ambient, Nature, and Party moods. Within each mood, you have three preselected lighting choices plus a 4th custom mode. I use part mode most often and I like “gorgeous night view,” which is a combination of blues, pinks, and yellows. Party mode has an additional switch to turn on/off a strobe light. It really sets a party vibe at our salsa parties. I occasionally play with the DJ settings for fun, but I spend most of my time dancing. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The speaker exceeds my expectations. There are many customization options for sound and mood lighting in the app. You can connect to the speaker via bluetooth, or via an auxiliary cable. You can even plug in a USB device. The speaker is somewhat heavy compared to others, but the wireless functionality makes it worth carrying around. There is a neat and sturdy handle to help. The buttons on the speaker allow you to control the volume, turn it off, or change audio input. You can also turn off the mood lighting if that’s not something you need. --- VALUE --- This speaker is worth the investment for its versatility. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend this product for people who love having parties and need an all-in-one device to create mood lighting and loud sound for indoor or outdoor use.

This LG - XBOOM 360 is awesome. The first thing you notice when unboxing is how sturdy this unit is. There's no change this speaker is going to blow over or get knocked over while using outdoors. The handle is not only great for carrying the speaker around but also for hanging in a garage or man cave. The color is unique and the shape reminds you of a lantern. The fabric covering gives it a stylish look and not just a hard plastic shell as most speakers come with. Bluetooth connection is a breeze and downloading the app is a must as there are many setting and fun features you can control from the app. The sound is absolutely amazing. The 360 degree sound gives you optimal listening pleasure from anywhere you are around the speaker. Depending on your types of music it has preset EQ settings from rock to classic. The Bass blast works great while listening songs with heavy bass. The bass sound hits hard but does not drown out the highs and vocals of a song. You can also customize your EQ settings. I tried setting the lows to full (5) and mids to 3 or 4 and it produced a great sound. The LG - XBOOM 360 also has an outdoor setting that creates a broader and louder output so you can hear the music anywhere around the campsite, backyard, or picnic. The light on the top is so helpful and fun to play with. If you're just hanging with the adults in the backyard it has ambient lighting that's just enough for conversation. Then when the kids take over the music there is a party mode with different color flashing lights and the option to turn on party strobe which uses your phones flash to make a strobe like effect. It is a fun feature that adds to the brilliance of this speaker. Ok the DJ function is not something I would use everyday but I found myself playing with it for like an hour trying to be a DJ. ( lol) It has preset drum and club sounds that you can play alonng with the song you are playing. Very fun. On a full charge the LG - XBOOM 360 will last for 10 hours. I've never used it for more then 3 to 4 hours in a row and still had 40 to 50% battery life left. The auto shutoff helps save battery when no music is playing. After 15 minutes the unit will shut off to save battery life. Also there is a plug so if you are close to an outlet battery usage is not an issue. Overall a great speaker and highly recommended.

When I got this box in the mail, I was shocked at how big it is. It is a party in a box, just waiting to happenit is easy to set up: plug in and connect Bluetooth to phone by pressing the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds. The app has a few equalizer options that are preset, or you can customize them to your taste. This is not a huge bass thumper, but instead is a full sounding speaker that can carry the sound around your yard, for sure. I turned it up to about 75% and I didn't want to turn it up any louder, for fear of breaking the speaker. I doubt it would, but that's how much sound it kicks out. To try and test it out, I played a variety of genres. Pop is crisp and clear. Country is like they are playing the guitar next to you Classical is like you're sitting in the orchestra and you are in the conductor's spot. Mega bass is the only place it is lacking. I can't imagine anyone would buy this for a subwoofer quality speaker, as this is more to get a lot of sound and clear. Even so, there is a decent amount of bass produced. If you place it in the right location (corner of the room), it can reverberate and produce a deeper bass. The LG XBOOM app has a way to play music on your phone, and send it to the speaker. It does not tie into any streaming app, because the sound comes from your Bluetooth connection, and you can use any other streaming app you want. There are some lights on the inside open area that flash and blink or change colors with the music sound beats. Depending on your mood, you can cycle through the colors, to find what meets your desire. The button on top, in the center cycles through the colors or turns the lights on/off. There are volume buttons on the unit that tie into your phones Bluetooth sound as well. The cord plugs into the wall, and has a 90 degrees plug, which is really nice. I think that should be the standard for all things with plugs. On the back is an auxiliary in jack, twin pair button to connect another unit, a reset button, and a USB plug, which you can charge your phone from, using the battery from the speaker. The plugs are covered by a pop out cover that is easy to remove. There is a connection to it, so it won't get lost if someone pulls it off and sets it aside because it is connected. Just pop out and turn it for access. Overall, I really like this speaker. It is on the big side, but easy to move and bring around. It is very durable, so it seems, and may not be cleaned easily if it were to get dirty from being outside. But I would either use a spray can of air, or a gentle vacuum brush.

I love speakers. I have a bunch of them from jbl, sony, bose and a few of those amazon brand ones. Every time I've come across and LG speaker, there has always been a better alternative. Although this xboom 360 isn't the ends all, it does something that none of the speaker I have does. It truly gives a full 360 sound. I placed this in the center of living room and slowly walked all around it. I could not notice any difference in the sounds that were coming to my ears. First off, this thing is heavy. It's heavy and big. Please reference my picture. I can see it being a problem for someone to figure a location for this speaker, but on the other hand, I sorta like it's shape and looks. I put it on my backyard table and it also doubles as a great light at night. Speaking of lights, the unit has 3 light modes. Ambient, nature and party. I don't care for anything but the ambient. It's really nice at night when the speaker is in the middle of the table in the backyard. Second, is the app. I really like the app. It is easy to use and straight forward. You have the option to turn the unit on and off. You can switch between light modes. It also has an eq with preset eq or you can customize. Last, is sound. The sound is very good and for me, the bass hits hard. The only complaint would be that for a unit this size, I expected it to be louder. Not that it's not loud, just that with the size, I expected more. If you set the eq to "outside" it does get noticeably louder but if you use the custom, you lose that. If you plan on using this for a backyard bbq, it's perfect. If you want to have a dance party, you would need 2 units. And from the specs, it shows that you can hook up 2 units at once. I definitely recommend this speaker over any other brands at this price point, it's even better than the jbl extreme, which I really like.

I really enjoyed listening to this speaker. The small portable speakers are great for small rooms or small gatherings, but when you need something that really fills the space without breaking a sweat, this is the speaker that will do it. This thing will get loud, and bring the bass with it. Sometimes these larger speakers will advertise room filling sound, or good bass, but I find they usually fall short. This one doesn't. And, even better, it has speakers firing in all directions, so it doesn't matter where you stand in relation to the speaker, it will always sound the same. I think this is another great bonus, since it really means you can place this anywhere. I did find myself wanting to put it on a elevated surface though so the sound was more level with my ears, and not coming from the ground. But, this might not make as big a difference if this is further away. I was only able to test this in closer quarters. I did see some comments about the weight... this is heavier than your average portable speaker, but also bigger than your average portable speaker. This stands about knee-high of your average adult. So I'd say it's maybe heavy for it's size, but it's not unreasonable. I would still bring this to a cookout, tailgate, backyard party, campout etc, no problem. Back to sound quality... it's loud, and can get very boomy. But on the flipside, I also feel like the highs are rather pronounced. I'm not really an "audiophile", but I'd summarize it as having "all highs and lows, no mids". I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get. The app does allow you to mess with the equalizer, and I was able to improve it a bit, so I don't think it's enough to really detract from this too much, but it's worth calling out. The light is a nice touch, though you can only choose from 3 effect types, and under each effect type you can select custom colors, or from 2-3 preset colors. The party effect type is the only one that seems to react to music. All in all, for the size, portability, and battery life (up to ~8 hours), and the amount of sound this can put out, this is a very impressive speaker, and certainly be bringing it to my summer BBQs this summer.

The LG-XBOOM 360 Portable Bluetooth Omnidirectional Speaker is by far the best sounding Bluetooth speaker I have heard. Given its size, I would expect it to outperform my other smaller Bluetooth speakers. However, It exceeded my expectations not only in performance but in sound quality. It has a sweet-sounding low end that mixes well with the tweeter to create a sound field that will make you want to get moving given you are not listening to music that puts you to sleep. I am a Bass enthusiast who has built a lot of subwoofer boxes for my automobiles. Everything from sealed to bandpass to ported and this mid-sized Bluetooth speaker actually had enough Bass to impress me. I also appreciate the LG XBoom app that LG provides to give you control of the speaker with your phone with the ability to make a playlist from stored music on your phone and DJ. There is also some lighting of different colors and the ability to alternate colors which I found to be my preference. There is a panel hidden by a nice rubberized cover that when removed reveals a twin button for pairing up another XBOOM for Dual speaker action as well as an Aux.In port and a Type A USB port with a 5V 500ma that you can use to charge other devices. The last thing I would like to mention is the built-in metal handle on top. It is very comfortable and makes the XBOOM very easy to carry around for a big guy like me. I can only imagine what two of these paired up would sound like. I know it would be awesome! For portability good looks and great sound you can not go wrong with the LG XBOOM!

This thing will literally rock your house (just ask my upstairs neighbors), your outdoor event and anywhere else you bring it. I will say the only thing about this is it's size, which isn't a negative but more so just something to be aware of as this is about the size of the subwoofer I have at home so technically larger than most portable speakers but it is easy to carry and not too heavy at just under 13lbs. The handle on the top makes it easy to carry and it charges simply and quickly. With the app you can control it from just about anywhere and the lighting selections are all really great. You have options for quiet night in, to a loud festive party that not only brings the bass but the coordinating lightshow to go along with it. This is the number one totable that I will be bringing with me to every event because no matter where you place it you will undoubtedly hear it a great distance away. The only real negative I have is you can't turn on the speaker from the app, but if you're bringing it with you it's not that difficult to remember to turn it on before walking away. Overall, this speaker is definitely worth the price as it's basically the new resident DJ wherever you take it, it's something that's going to get a lot of use during the spring and summer nights!

The LG - XBOOM 360 Portable Bluetooth Omnidirectional Speaker is a Party Animal, delivering 120 Watts of audio power with a configurable light show. The stiffer the woofer, the greater the dynamic bass it can produce. Premium subwoofers use Carbon woofers for increased stiffness. I was amazed to learn that LG utilized a very pricey carbon woofer in this speaker! Titanium tweeters are well known to produce the sweetest high frequencies. This LG XBOOM includes an expensive titanium tweeter! When you plug this speaker in, it charges the internal massive Lithium-Ion 3900 mAh battery in about 4 hours. It performs for up to 10 hours. This speaker looks like an outdoor lantern. It measures 9.8" X 20.2" X 9.8" & weighs 12.8 lb. The free LG app is a must, to really enjoy the unique features of this speaker. Simply press Power, then press Bluetooth to connect to your phone. The app lets you interact with this speaker by changing EQ, volume, and many unique & fun features. With the app, you can create the sound of a large, empty chamber by fading in echo. You can even play with a phaser, a flanger, individual drum sounds, and many more amazing features! CONCLUSION: This is the most amazing portable omnidirectional speaker I have ever encountered. It is extremely well built & accentuates the life of your party. I highly recommend it.

LG has created, in my opinion, a very unique portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers a strong sound, and solid bass all packed up in a semi hefty (less than 10 lbs.) package with a nice metal handle. That metal handle makes it easy to carry, and not very small, so you may not easily take it with you traveling depending on your space. The LED lighting is super cool, and you can adjust how it flashes with different colors or solid colors via the XBOOM app with the various modes such as Ambient, Nature, and party to help set the atmosphere. There is also a DJ Mode with a scratching feature so you can create some party sounds to your room. You can even use the sampler creator to record unique sounds and add them to the DJ mode. The app has an EQ mode where you can adjust the bass response and has an outdoor mode. The sound is really good, and it does live up to Its omnidirectional name. Placing the speaker in the middle of the room and walking around it provides equal sound and it appears to hit you the same from any angle. It’s a very impressive speaker and there appears to be settings in the app to connect more than one of these for even more sound, but I was not able to test that since I only have one. I really like the over-all design; it sits on the floor in my living room and blends in with the rest of the furniture. Battery life is rated at around 10 hours and that is my biggest gripe with this, I would think battery life could be much better than that. I recently had a power outage that lasted a few hours and I was able to use this as a light and that should be listed as a feature, it did come in very handy.

Picked this up mainly for using in our backyard. It sounds really good, especially how well it does the 360 sound. Volume wise, it gets pretty loud with minimal distortion and has a good amount of bass.

I have so many speakers but this one is the best, specially for its powerful sound. Also has a great design & awesome lights.
