Unfortunately I was unable to get this bulb to work with my wifi network. Customer service was very responsive but I was still unsuccessful in making this bulb to operational.

Love the fact it doesn't require a hub, however, communication over wifi tends to be slower than other systems. The colors and brightness are better than the hue. The app is one of the best out there.

These are the best! I have them in the Kids bedrooms. At night they turn on for reading time then dim to 10% for five minutes before lights out for bedtime. In the morning they slowly brighten to wake them up, then turn off as everyone leaves for school. I use Stringify with them to do this.

The app that controls the bulbs works! Most of the problem with the "internet of things" is that the apps don't work reliably. There is no point to get a WI-FI controlled device if you can't control it. The LIFX bulb app works. The bulbs produce good color and I will be buying more.

This is an excellent product. It's the best bulb one can buy, in my opinion. The cost is less than other similar products and not a lot more than a standard 75w LED but you get so much more. No problems staying connected to wi-fi unlike other reviews I've read. I'd recommend.

Great bulbs! My only complaint is that they aren't HomeKit compatible and LIFX has yet to offer a switch. Once they do, these will be even better.

When this bulb worked, it was wonderful. Sadly, there was too much Wi-Fi interference between the router and the bulb and more often than not the bulb would disconnect from the network after just a couple minutes. I want to stress that this bulb is really, really great when it works properly. The ability to change colors and set schedules via an app is wonderful. But your in-home Wi-Fi has to be STRONG for it to work properly.

Really good bulb considering its quite a lot cheaper than its more expensive cousin, the philips Hue. Only con would be that its a little tedious setting it up for Amazon echo.

I haven't had this bulb very long , sometimes it works, sometimes it goes on when I don't want to.

Still waiting on Comcast to get Internet to our subdivision so I can see how this functions.

This bulb keeps losing connect with the app. I bought it because I had ankle surgery and want to be able to control the lights without getting up. It worked once, the I had to keep turning it on and off with the switch so it could reconnect. Don't waste your money

I have a special reason to buy this bulb. Most of LED bulbs on the market are between 2700-5000K, but I'd like to have 6000k for perfect white. I indeed did a research to buy this bulb which is 3-4x more than non-connected one. And I bought one for a try. The white balance can go between 2700K-6500K (default is 3000K) in full brightness. Setup isn't that difficult, and I picked up the app from Google Play (I have G3), email address is required for out-of-the-house control. The initial setup will switch the Wi-Fi to the bulb. It flashed a couple of times after setup and connected to my home Wi-Fi (2.4GHz only though). As soon as I made setup and change the whiteness to 6000K, lo and behold, it changes from 3000K to 6000K, and the setting is kept even I switch from one fixture to another. You can even use regular switch to turn on or off (but the light will show default briefly and change to your setting). The control is rather easy with G3. I wanted to get Philips Hue Lux, but the white is limited to 2700K only, so I get this one instead. This bulb is rather interesting and the setting stays in place even there's no Wi-Fi (but you can't control through app for sure), or move from one fixture to another.

Don't need the color so I went with this version. Easy to setup and has great lighting effects (light amount, warm to cool color tones).

I bought two of these bulbs not knowing what I was getting myself into. Are they were very easy to set up and I am completely happy

I love the features but the connectivity needs some attention

Wanted something simple and easy to use. Works well.

Ths bulb works and looks great. I am very glad I made the investment and I'm sure I will be adding a few more to my home.
