have tried other similar products after buying this one, but returned them to purchase more Lifx lights. Lifx has more color variations and the app is a joy to use. You can control various installed lights with ease and the app lets you know if there is new firmware which is also very easy to do. These lights become addictive once you can see what you can do with them.

I love this light for more than security reasons, they are nice for entertaining as well thank you Best Buy

I actually wanted the LIFX bulb but ended up going with the Hue. These bulbs are the brightest of any of the controllable bulbs I tried out. However, they consistently dropped off my network and I almost always ended up having to manually turn them on....kinda defeats the purpose for me.

This is an awesome wifi LED bulb. It works like a charm after LiFx decided to give a huge update on its software. Before it was a huge disappointment but now everything it is advertised to do, it can do. And because it works so well now, I've bought more.

The product is nice. The big question and concern you should have is will they work without internet? The answer is no. Philips Hue is a much better product and can be used 100% offline without the internet even the first time set up, of course without Internet you wouldn't be able to remotely control them. The Philips Hue and other systems use their own hub unit that plugs into your local home network router or switch unlike LIFE which you register a cloud account in order to setup your bulbs. If you need something that is guaranteed to work offline or online go with Philips Hue instead.

the wifi technology of this bulb is definitely excellent and fat superior to competition. the range of colors though is a disappointment as it is not very progressive and few nuances are possible

When I bought it, I have alot of expectation of this light, but at the end you never use all the other color shades of light. You waist more time trying to turn it on in the application than just walk to the switch and proceed With the action.

The lights are beautiful and every bit as fully flexible in palette as the Hue line of products, but what sets them apart is their total in bulb integration-- there's no hub to worry about. Great, or so I thought.... My light (I only bought one to test drive it) wouldn't stay connected to the network. It would just get lost. And that's where it's hubless "advantage" became a problem. The only thing I could do was reset it which isn't such a difficult thing with one bulb. But imagine 4, 14 or 40. Thanks to Best Buys return policy, I went back to Hue. And thanks to their customer review site, I can save you a couple trips to the store.

How many people does it take to put on a light build? well, it still takes at least one but after that this app is sweet. I have almost replaced all my bulbs in my house now.

A great product with concept ideas however the apps to support them are behind and crash. I cannot recommend this product until they catch up. However the price tag still makes it worth while.

Love theses bulbs you could use them during all the holidays with their wide options of colors just wish they would come down in price so I could buy more

This is a great bulb to set the mood. Yeah it maybe on the high end of your cost but it will pay for it's self. I just hope it last the way it suppose to last.

Set the timer for light to slowly turn on to simulate the sun rising. Helps to wake up when it is dark out.

Ended up returning it. The colors were great, but would not respond occasionally.
