Customers are saying

Customers love the Velop Plug-In AC1300 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Mesh Extender's ease of use and the improved Wi-Fi range and signal strength it provides. Many appreciate its performance in extending coverage, particularly in previously difficult areas. While some found the price high and instructions slightly lacking, the positive experiences with setup and compatibility outweigh these concerns for most users.

These Mesh extenders are so easy to set up! Now every room in house has Wi-Fi. Best Buy online agent helped me find what I needed to add on.

I needed an antenna for my hallway as it would have been cumbersome to have to set up a stand for a regular Velop antenna, and this does the trick perfectly. You will need an existing Velop mesh network to have this work, but it acts just like any other Velop antenna and will expand your network signal. Obviously these mesh setups will only be good if spaced properly and with a decent internet plan... But so far I'm getting a more consistent wifi signal across my house so it definitely works! A little on the expensive side (though that's on par for the brand), but well worth a buy if you need an extra antenna for your Velop network!

I have 2 Velop units already. We added this to improve coverage and it has been great. The wall plug in makes it more compact and hidden the standalone units. Recommended.

Was having issues with the wifi extending to the garage once the kids started school, with one having their desk in the garage. I already had the Velop system so needed one more node and this one worked perfectly. In fact, it seems to have stabilized my Velop system a tad bit. Before, a node would lose connection once every week or two. I have now only had to restart a node once in 4 weeks. Thus the 4star vs 5star. The nodes DO go down, but easy enough to reboot.

Good range but frustrating system sometimes

Purchased this AC Node with a Linksys Velop system. We use this one on our enclosed deck to extend coverage for an outdoor TV and security camera...because: brick exterior wall. The system (and this node) work well in terms of covering the house in range. But the problem with the system is that you cannot set up the system in any way do that devices that always stay in one place (TVs, TV boxes, WiFi based security panels or cameras/doorbells) connect to a specific node. They connect to whatever node they connect to in the Velop system-which may be the furthest node in the home and lowest signal strength. Next time (or 30 min later) they may connect to a different node. Overall, we’ve had the nodes and system drop off randomly a few times and have to just reset (app on your phone that works mostly decently). The speed test on the Linksys app consistently shows a much higher speed test than an independent speed test app. So, 3/5 stars for good coverage (improved over the ATT Fiber router/modem that comes with system) but some frustratingly inconsistent performance. With ATT Fiber, I had to go in and disable WiFi on the router/modem as you HAVE to still use their router/modem. The Primary Velop Node plugs into that. That was the only ‘difficult’ part of setup.

Works well with our Linksys Mesh Tri-band router. Devices seamlessly move from one frequency to another or from the main router to the extender.

Product functioned as advertised, and materially improved function of a TV remote from the internet node. However, delivery was a major problem and literally took weeks and was far longer than predicted. This was probably a problem of the postal service, but the communication with Best Buy was minimal and inadequate.
