Bought this phone for my grandpa, and I absolutely love it! The phone has big button letters built for seniors who have a hard time seeing. A great volume/ringtone setting for seniors that are hard of hearing, and it is easy maneuvering apps throughout the phone as well. This is a really good option for seniors who are not really tech savvy, but need a way to communicate with their family or who live alone and need telephone access to outside agencies. Also lively customer service is really good as well. A great option all the way around

After purchasing this phone for my husband who is in a long-term care facility, I found out out that monthly fees from the state are almost the price of a month’s usage fee. If you live on a fixed income and every penny counts, make sure to explore all fees levied by your state before activating.

Cool little flip phone, I like using the radio with wire ear buds. Bluetooth works good in the car also, much better than the first one I had called the jitterbug. I use it as a spare line, it's easier to use also.

Quick, polite service when I picked up the phone. Phone seems great but we haven't used it yet. I'm guessing the large number buttons and simple use will be great for my father-in-law.

My stepdad was struggling with smartphone I got him (his flip phone would no longer work with 4G) where he had to swipe. This Jitterbug is perfect. Answers the phone just by opening. Simple list with phone, contacts, voicemail (I created message for him) and date and time showing when closed. Nice charging station and Best Buy sent me a free car charger in the mail. There is also a great feature by pressing “0” to get a personal operator who can get you a Lyft ride. They ask where you are, where you are going and let you know if a driver is available and the estimated cost. You can accept or reject the ride. Call is $1 and charged to your bill with the cost of the ride. This will definitely be used for doctor appointments when we can’t give him or my mom a ride. He loves it! I recommend it!

My parent's wanted a flip phone, not a smart phone. They are familiar with flip phones and they wanted a low monthly phone bill. They are very happy with their service and their bill. The phones are durable with a larger print for easynuse for them.

The Jitterbug Flip2 Cell Phone was an excellent choice for my father. It is his first mobile phone and he is delighted. It was easy to set up all his contacts and numbers so he can easily see who to call, and see who is calling him. Thank you Jitterbug.

Ringer stopped working. Keeps falling into airplane mode and there is no airplane mode so you have to call customer service to reboot the phone and lose all your contacts in the process. Do not recommend.

OK so let me say I’m a techie and have alwayshad high end phones. I was however, looking for a good flip phone just to use as a spare. The problem is that far to many of them are cheap as if people who want them couldn’t possibly want something decent. I couldn’t bring myself to buy the cheap crap offered (not counting the Samsung Flip). The Jitterbug 2 is well made and sturdy and I was also nicely surprised at how well Alexa works. If you have a senior who is not really technically literate, you will probably needs to set it up for them but after that it should be fine. By the way, technically I’m a senior but a working IT Professional so I think my opinion is a good one. The battery doesn’t last as long as I would expect for this phone but I can live with it. I love the phone.

I recently purchased the Lively Jitterbug Flip2 phone, and I've given it a solid four stars. It's an excellent choice for those who value simplicity and ease of use in a phone, especially suitable for seniors or anyone who prefers a more straightforward mobile experience. The phone features large buttons and a bright, clear display which makes navigation a breeze. The large text and simple menu structure eliminate the complexity often found in more advanced smartphones. The voice dial feature is a fantastic addition, providing convenience and accessibility with hands-free operation. The Urgent Response button is a standout feature, offering immediate access to help with a single press, which is invaluable for elderly users or those with health concerns. The call quality is also very good, ensuring clear conversations. However, there are some limitations. The camera functionality is basic, and while it suffices for occasional use, it doesn’t compare to the capabilities found in typical smartphones. Additionally, while the phone does hold a charge well, the battery life can be inconsistent under heavier use, which might be a concern for some users. Despite these minor issues, the Lively Jitterbug Flip2 remains a great option for its target audience, providing essential features with the simplicity that many users desire. It’s durable, user-friendly, and supported by excellent customer service, making it worthy of a high recommendation with a slight deduction for the mentioned drawbacks.

I got this phone for my 85 y/o widowed sister who has dementia and it's much easier for her to use than the jitterbug smart phone she previously had. You just open the phone to answer a call, and close it to hang up. It has speed dial so I programmed the people she calls most so she only has to press one button to dial their numbers. I have a speed dial list taped on the back. Voice mails are easy to retrieve, texts are a little trickier but she doesn't text anyway. You can lock the side keys so the volume buttons don't accidentally get pushed, and it also comes with a charging cradle that sits on a table, you just place the phone into it ...easy peasy, no fumbling with trying to plug a usb-c cord into the phone (although you can also charge it that way). The keypad buttons are fairly large which makes them easier for her to see. I looked at a couple other flip phones but this one is the best for elderly people with memory problems. The charging cradle alone makes it worth it!!

This phone is absolutely perfect for seniors. I bought this flip-phone for my sister in-law who has onset dementia. She had an iphone and it just became too much for her. I had seen a few ads for Lively and the Jitterbug and thought this would be exactly what we needed. My sister in-law loves this phone because it just goes back to the basics. We love the emergency button as well. Another thing worth mentioning is the super easy way to charge this phone with the included stand. Definitely recommend for anyone considering purchasing for a senior. Its wonderful!!

My Mom has been a flip phone user her entire life and was devastated when the 3G deactivation occurred. Since then, her physical and cognitive health has declined. I've tried every brand of basic flip phone and both smartphone operating systems. I thought for sure that the lively flip phone would work for her. The phone's main menu is customizable and looks pretty simple. The keys are large and backlit. Screen size is excellent and resolution is ok. My mom's primary issue with the phone is that she tries touching the screen instead of using the keys. I already know what you're thinking... I should get her a smartphone. I agree. This is the only issue I have with Lively. They market their products specifically for seniors and the "not-so-tech-savy," but, they aren't willing to do any type of swap or trade-in for their smartphone version. So, I do recommend the phones they currently sell. Make sure to not only pick the best model for you or your loved one's preference, but be sure of the return policies. Lively isn't very philanthropic when it comes to providing the best for its customers' needs.

Works fairly easily especially if you have used a flip phone in the past. Does require more button pushing than a smart phone. If you don’t know how to use a smart phone then this flip phone will work nicely.

My buying experience was outstanding — thank you, Jordan! The phone is exactly what I wanted. I believe they now call them “dumb phones”…suits me fine, I’m into reading and thinking. The only minor issue I have is the battery life. From a full charge, left on, but closed, it only lasts a day. I’ll just have to make sure I have a charger in the car, which is the only time I really need the phone.
