    Far From Perfect; Works; Easier for Seniors

    Large buttons and simplified operations definitely make this easier for the dexterity- and otherwise-challenged folks but there’s a limit. Comes with simplified how-to cards and complete operating manual which should make it easier for those so inclined. Also you need to use their Lively/Great Call proprietary service provider — this phone will NOT work with an ATT, VERIZON, Consumer Cellular, Mint, Sprint or any other provider. I would recommend trying this for anyone whose tried the regular services and phones and just can’t get anything to work for them.

    Finally a phone he can use.

    My husband is 80 years old and it is very difficult for him to learn new things. The Verizon store embarrassed us and I left crying. Today I am crying because the young men who helped us were so caring. Chance and another employee were patient and professional. My husband now has a phone that will keep him safe and he feels so empowered by the ability to text and easily answer his calls. Thank you for a great protect and priceless people on your staff. Everyone was delightful.

    Great phone for Seniors’

    Very easy to use. We got for our dad and he has the old folks selective hearing syndrome. He loves it ! I like that the immediate things you use are right there. Unlike most smart phones you don’t have to go search for apps. Now it still becomes tricky so you’ll have to definitely give some quick lessons if they’re not used to new age technology. However we had him up and running in no time. Make sure you are aware of the plans to avoid overage. We live in Texas and the taxes are horrific. We were also disappointed that we had to pay a one time fee of 35.00 to set up. In addition to having to pay the 3.00 per month to have the smart phone features work even though it’s a smart phone to begin with… weird but I guess you gotta have it if you want phone to work. However we were impressed with the lively support team. There are eager to assist with any questions.

    My first one was damaged because it was accidentally thrown into the wash machine and dryer in a pair of mtpants. Up unti that time I liked it. I bought a new second one and it was found to be defective.MANY hours lost here to get it replaced. Finally replaced and it is just fine!

    Think twice before buying this phone.

    My wife and I bought this phone for her 90+ year old father. He is still active and we needed to get him a phone that would allow for apps such as Waze to be added. If you have ever watched the TV ad for this phone it makes it seem like the perfect cell phone solution for an older person. Unfortunately this phone and the service leaves a lot to be desired. The phone itself is not very large. My wife and I have Iphon 12's and that would be a better size phone. This phone is closer to an Iphone 7 in size. The display at the Best Buy store was damaged so we did not get to actually see the phone before purchasing it. My mistake. The phone is too small. There is really no way to make the words on the phone larger than any other cell phone either so that is a questionable claim made by Lively. The upper volume is not nearly as loud as my Iphone at its highest setting. For a phone advertised for old people that is poor. You have to pay extra for the emergency button service. The Lively ad makes it seem like that is included. It is not and costs an additional $10 per month. Setting the phone up was a pain in the butt but maybe that is because I don't have an Android phone. Another gripe I have with this phone was the phone number Lively tried to assign to it. We wanted an 864 area code (South Carolina). We bought the phone from a Best Buy in the 864 area code. When we called Lively to set the phone up and activate it they gave us a 909 area code (Southern California). Not even close to South Carolina unless you think 2400 miles is close. It took my wife over two hours working with various Lively employees to get the phone number changed. Even the Lively Supervisor couldn't figure it out at first but finally did. The only positive is that this phone cose much less than an Iphone. Bottom line, I would not buy this phone again. A good Iphone would have allowed for a bigger screen, larger fonts, louder volume and a better experience. This phone and the Lively service leave a lot to be desired.

    i am seriously in love with this phone! it's my very first "smartphone" , and i was terrified at first, but it is so easy to learn to use, and the mic/speaker makes it so easy to hear,talk and especially text is just amazing! i'm learning the camera functions too, thanks to the excellent user guide and tutorials, i'm so thankful i decided to give it a shot! and believe me, if this computer illiterate can make this phone work in a happy way, SO CAN YOU! GIVE IT A TRY!

    Jitterbug Lively Smart Phone

    I'm very satisfied with my new Jitterbug Lively Smart phone. It's so much easier to use than my last phone; and the fact that it comes with a nice compact instruction booklet that shows you step-by-step how to do things is the best. I was never the type to keep my cell phone on all the time, but I do this one, I even have a daily alarm scheduled to ring each morning Just in case my internal alarm clock doesn't wake me up. It has a nice soft ring that doesn't jolt you out of your chair or bed. All around a pleasure to have, Thanks Jitterbug for making a phone with the older generation in mind.

    I am thrilled at being able to send texts for the first time in my 88 years. I have no knowledge in the world of technology so I can't use all there is for me. I hope to find someone who can tutor me in all the wonders that await me.

    Smartphone Does Not Work In All Zip Codes

    This Jitterbug Smartphone would have been perfect for a nursing home resident. I was disappointed that the phone/service only works in certain zip codes. The nursing home is located in a zip code where the phone service will not work.

    Love the phone. Learning to use functions I have not used before. My only reason for not giving the phone of five star is because of the location of the five star on the phone. It is easy to hit the star accidentally, although easy to cancel the call immediately. I would definitely recommend this phone, especially to users not adept at computers and other like kind devices.

    This phone is much easier for me to use than my previous phone. The transfer of data from my prior phone to this phone was almost automatic; and I've had no problem with receiving calls or making calls. There are a few details I have yet to learn when time permits. Plus,this phone has an Urgent Response Button in case of an emergency.

    Getting used to a new "gadget!!"

    At first, my blood pressure was really high and I was getting really frustrated, as I don't care for this new technology, as I don't understand it.....With the help of my Grand Daughter and friends, asking lots of questions, I believe I more or less get used to this..... with the help of a friend, she found the 20's, 30's 40's and 50's songs of long been gone.....I took this down to breakfast and everyone enjoyed the music......this thing does everything except doing the dishes..... I love the texting, don't really care for Facebook, I will not be friends with anyone I don't know.....UNBELIEVABLE the people who ask me to be "friends!" All in all, the more questions I ask, the more I learn.....

    Purchased this foe my husband to replace a flip phone. He is very pleased with it. The lively customer service is very good assisting you with any questions relative to the many good features of the phone when you are just getting use to it.

    I purchased this phone because it is suppose to be easy to use by seniors. In most cases, that is correct. I didn't realize that staying connected to the internet would cause my bill to be a lot higher than expected.

    I have had flip phones and I phones but my needs are simple I WANTED A PHONE EASY TO USE NO INTERNET JUST TO USE WHEN I AM OUT IN CSE OF AN EMERGENCY. THIS PHONE FITS MY NEEDS VERY EASY TO USE AND YOU CAN USE ONLY WHAT YOU WANT

    The phone is extremely easy for anyone to use self-explanatory… And stylish as well as it feels really good in your hand the only disappointment is that I was told it would work with any service but it does not it only works with lively service

    This phone was for my father who is 93. He absolutely loves it. He has arthritis and it is hard for him to navigate the small buttons on most phones. With this one he was able to start texting right away. It took several readings of the manual but he has pretty much mastered all of it. He is now sending texts and pictures. Thank you!
