A Nice Upgrade From Old Design, Still Great

The original G502 was, and still is, a great mouse. However, it's design is quite familiar by now. Also, while I haven't had this issue, the G502 seems to have lower quality switches which can fail prematurely. While this can be fixed, it's an involved process which requires taking the mouse apart and soldering new switches. It's relatively high weight is also worth noting, especially with today's super lightweight mice. Also, huge props to Logitech for not putting "Pro" anywhere in the name, that's a silly trend that needs to go away. This newer model addresses most of these issues. It has an updated design, new switches, and it sheds quite some weight too. As for comfort, the new 502 is a little bit lower, and a little bit longer. I've always felt that the old 502 was a tad too small, and while the G502 X isn't significantly larger, the tiny bit of extra length (settle down) makes it feel a bit nicer, a small but very welcome improvement. Tracking is the same, which means it's really good. The buttons also feel great to me. The new switches are an optical switch, so they should last way longer than the old switches. All the buttons feel very similar in terms of placement, and they're all about as easy to hit as on the old design. The large button on the thumb rest can also be customized. You can flip it one way or the other. On one orientation its about as easy to hit as on the old design, and the other orientation is much easier to hit. You can also just block it off with a little rubber piece if you don't want it. The only thing I really don't like much is the scroll wheel. It just feels a bit cheap and rattly and reminds me of the scroll wheel on crappy e-waste grade mice. To be clear, it's not awful or anything, but its definitely not nice. I wish they would've used the scroll wheel from the MX Master, but that'd probably be pretty heavy. Speaking of weight, I was never bothered by the 121 gram weight of the old design. At 106 grams, the G502 X Plus is lighter than the old one, but not by much, and it's still not light. If you want a super light mouse, maybe get the corded version (89 g) or just get another mouse. If you're not too bothered, this is an excellent choice. From an aesthetic perspective, the mouse looks very good, it's a modern design that's not bland, but not overly aggressive either. The RGB strip has 8 zones so you can really customize it, you can even crate your own animations. Sadly, it's only available on the top tier G502 X Plus. The wired version doesn't have any RGB, which is a missed opportunity in my opinion. Also, while you can get up to 120 hrs of use on a single charge, it goes down to about 40 with RGB on, which is actually a downgrade from the 60 hours on the old G502 Lightspeed with RGB enabled. I still prefer the extra customization of the LED strip vs the boring single LED on the old design, so I'll happily sacrifice some battery for the much better looks. Also, it now comes in white too (Thank you Logitech!) Just like the old design, the new 502 supports Power Play. It also has USB C charging, and you can use any cable. The older G502 Lightspeed had its ancient Micro USB port buried inside a tiny hole, meaning many cables wouldn't fit, at least not without shaving the connector down with a knife. If you want to change your DPI on the fly with the buttons, the LED strip just changes colors, whereas the old design had 3 LEDs which were easier to interpret. Also, you don't have the ability to add weights like on the old mouse. Personally I don't change DPI on the fly and never used the adjustable weights, so losing these features isn't an issue for me. In conclusion: If you already have a G502, this is a small incremental upgrade. The biggest change is the looks, and a somewhat lighter weight. If you don't care too much about either, you can safely skip this model and stick to your old G502. But if you care about looks as well, or if you're looking for a new mouse, the G502 X is a great choice and I don't see much reason to get it over the old G502, except for maybe price. Aside from the scroll wheel and maybe battery, everything about it is better.

I have had multiple 502s in my time, 502 inspired designed mice as well as Logitech mice in general. My biggest beef with Logitech has been the unfortunate double click issues that plague their mice BUT I think we finally have the fix with these new switches! This mouse looks FANTASTIC in the white colorway and it will also help keep it looking nicer longer vs the way oils create a shine in black MnK even with cleaning! IT feels great in the hand and looks great too! It has customizable RGB zones and custom hot keys that you can setup within the G-Hub app! If you want even more battery life at the expense of RGB you can disable the RGB altogether and get almost 140 hours out of one charge! Speaking of charge this mouse has USB-C charging so it charges back up very fast! The connection has always been solid with the USB transmitter. I have never had it lag or dropout on me once since owning it. The buttons are very nice and responsive and I have had no experience of double clicks or misclicks. The scroll wheel is the classic two style that the 502 has always had giving you the option to make it infinite scroll if you enjoy that. The side button can be customized to your like by being able to rotate it or put a flat dummy cover on it which is a nice feature! If you have been looking for an excuse to get another 502 for the collection or need a new mouse I can highly recommend this one!

The G502 X Plus has been a fantastic mouse so far. It feels really solid in the hand, the clicks are crisp, and the sensor is extremely accurate for gaming. The wireless connection is flawless and the battery life has been great, even with the RGB on. Overall it feels like a premium mouse and a great upgrade if you like the G502 shape.

Love it. Switched from the razer basilisk and I have 0 regrets. Everything about this mouse is just quality and comfort. I am a small content creator so I always have to think about comfort when choosing a mouse I have to use for more than half of my day everyday (no I am not sponsored). This mouse is the definition of comfort. It fits perfectly in my hand. The mouse has a little weight to it but not enough to break my hand off. The 2 side buttons are satisfying to click. The middle mouse button setting is just perfect to have in a certain situation you might encounter. I charged this mouse to 100% the first day I got it, 6 days ago, and have been using it non stop since then and I have yet to charge it again. With rgb on by the way. The battery is a beast. A quality product Logitech has. And with a fair price of only $130 (I had it on sale) it is a no brainer to purchase. Even at its original $160 price range it is still worth every penny. Don’t overthink it when getting this mouse. Buy it if you can.

I love this mouse, switched from a Razer Viper Ultimate because it was too small and hurt my wrists after prolonged use. This mouse is perfectly shaped if you have medium to larger sized hands, although it can take getting used to if you have thick fingers. Pros: - Great shape and size - tons of functionality - Scroll wheel has option between free scrolling (minimal friction, basically has scroll wheel on ball bearing like a fidget spinner) and the typical scroll where the wheel will click in increments. - Gives you a swappable cover for the DPI button. (Used to have a wired G502, HATED that button immensely) - Lightweight - Clicks feel very rigid, less "squishy" - Very long battery life Cons: - if you have thick fingers, can be very easy to accidentally press side buttons - charges via a single cable, no dock attachment - normal scrolling (not free scroll) doesn't feel great, is loud, could be smoother clicks and feels like rubber on plastic. - Lighting customization leaves out a couple options (minor gripe) (TL;DR) Overall would give this 4.5/5 Stars, there is some room for improvement, but the cons are minor and do not impact someone who is used to the mouse.

My girlfriend and I had been looking for a new mouse for her for quite a while, and after buying and returning two prior to this one, we happily stuck with the Logitech G502 X Plus. The build quality feels amazing, sleek and soft on the top and a nice grip on the thumb side. Her hands are on the smaller side, however the mouse is quite ergonomic and surprisingly light so it was a delightful surprise since we were afraid the mouse would be too bulky. The RGB and software features are also very customizable and fun, and the actual performance of the mouse left us in a bit of awe. Buttery smooth, both wired and wireless. I would definitely recommend this to individuals who like that light-medium weight mice. Not too light to where it feels cheap or uncomfortable, not too heavy to where you’re rolling a stone across your mouse pad.

This mouse is fantastic! The HERO 25K sensor is extremely accurate, and the LIGHTSPEED wireless connection is just as fast and reliable as wired. I use it for Hearthstone and World of Warcraft, and the customizable buttons make gameplay so much smoother. The RGB lighting looks great, the mouse feels comfortable even in long sessions, and the battery life is impressive. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants a high-performance gaming mouse that’s both wireless and dependable.

Honestly after using it for a year I can say it's quite good! It has a super unlocked/locked scroll wheel for scrolling super fast, macros assigned to buttons on the mouse and customizable using the Logitech software. I tend to hardwire it over using it wirelessly but it's nice to have the option to do both, haven't had any issues with it and overall for my use with macros it's been a really solid choice

Beyond the amazing battery life, the mouse's performance is flawless. The tracking is precise and smooth, whether I'm working on a design project or navigating documents. My initial impressions are super strong with this mouse! I'm swapping from a GPro X, so I was worried about the weight change, but the second I picked up the 502X, I was amazed by how...balanced and good it felt. I had a Steelseries mouse that's 20 grams lighter but feels far more unwieldly, so I think that's a testament to Logitech's brilliance in crafting this mouse's fit and finish. Due to the excellent shape and ergonomics, this is a very comfortable mouse that, paired with the new skates, is extremely smooth and predictable. Build quality is also top-notch given it's a high-end Logitech product. Performance is also great. The wireless nature and the actuation and feel of all of the switches makes it feel just amazing during gaming and outside of gaming. A large reason I ditched the GPro X and got this instead is due to the additional buttons. The extra buttons simply add freedom and functionality to how the mouse can be used, and all of the placements of them are fantastic. The only "weak" portion of the mouse has so far been the scroll wheel. It's actually feels very nice as it has very defined scroll points, but it's honestly just pretty loud. Also, this mouse is $170 after taxes which is wild. It's a top-tier mouse, and that's reflected in all that it offers, but it'll take a while for that $170 to feel payed off. Overall though, this is a stunning, performant, comfortable, and convenient mouse. I highly recommend this mouse to anyone who doesn't absolutely need a light mouse, or very niche features.

The G502 X PLUS delivers top-tier wireless performance and a legendary ergonomic design. With fast LIGHTFORCE optical switches, and extensive 13-button customization. witj the 8-zone RGB is fully Customized. The only flaw is the charging as it's battery starting degrading after 6 months of using as depleting within 3-4 hrs.

I’ve been using the G502 X PLUS for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best gaming mice I’ve tried. The performance feels incredibly precise and responsive, especially in fast-paced games, and the wireless connection is seamless with no noticeable lag. The mouse has a solid, premium feel to it, and the buttons are crisp and satisfying thanks to the upgraded switches. I really like how customizable it is, with plenty of programmable buttons that make a difference depending on the game or workflow. The scroll wheel is smooth and versatile, and the RGB lighting adds a clean, customizable look without being over the top. Overall, it’s a high-end mouse that delivers excellent performance, comfort, and flexibility for both gaming and everyday use.

The shape is very similar to the classic G502, so you will have no issue getting used to it if you like this shape. Lighting effect is very fun as it animates in full RGB. It can be turned off to save battery life. No issues with connectivity and sensors. Weight is heavier than G Pro, but much lighter than previous G502s. For working, the infinite scroll wheel is essential.

I really like this mouse! It matches my Logitech Aurora set. I was worried it might be too large for me, but on the first use I adjusted and it felt really nice. I love that I can see the lights even while my hand is on it, they shine all along the sides. It doesn't feel like a generic material, unlike most of these new mouses. I enjoy the clicky sound it makes too. Very nice!

I been using G502 since the original design and had owned every model throughout the year and feel confident enough to say this the best model hand down with the exception of price. So this compared great to previous G502 model and will be refresh to g502 user yet how this compare to other mouse in the same price range (Razer Basilisk V3 Pro) this will come down to preference mostly as there a lot of similarity in this two (Ergonomics, scrolls wheels side buttons) yet there Bluetooth connectivity offered in the Razer product and not on the Logitech. Can I recommend this product? Yes, I stand behind the new G502 x Plus, specially if you like the ergonomics good wireless performance and battery life from the previous model.

The Logitec computer software is what drags this mouse down a bit. If not, i would’ve definitely given it 5 stars! I personally though it would be easy to figure it out but to get the lighting i wanted, i kind of had to mess with the settings to find out how to save the RGB settings on my mouse. It’s not as simple as having a specific SAVE button. I found that out the hard way as i would exit the app and my mouse RGB would reset to default. But IF you already know the application and her complications, then this mouse feel very premium. It does have that loud scroll which took me a few minutes to get used to. However feels so soothing after every use. And even better when i switch the scroll setting to go SUPER SONIC SPEEDO.
