What an amazing surprise

For $100 less than retail, totally worth finally pulling the trigger on my own wheel. I thought I was settling for the “poor man’s” version; compared to my friend’s $,$$$ setup. I was blown away by the amazing responsiveness of wheel and realistic feel of wheel and pedals. Kids love it too, under supervision. 11 and 15 year olds that is.

Beginner Setup

It did exactly what you would expect with good force-feed back and good pedal feel. The next upgrade would definitely be a shifter. Although I can see myself upgrading to a better wheel and pedal setup in a year or so.

There is definitely a learning curve with this, so don’t buy thinking you’re about to go pass everyone in a race on Forza just cause you have a wheel. I returned mine because I simply didn’t have the time to be able to learn and customize my wheel the way it needed to be, however I will recommend it to anyone who does have the time because the wheel itself was absolutely amazing with the feedback and build quality. You’ll need to have a really sturdy table to attach it to if you want the best experience because it made 2/3 of the tables I tried wobble like crazy with the force feedback.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice wheel to use to casual play. Would also 10000% recommend a dedicated chair setup as placing the foot pedals on the ground can be an issue as they’ll just slide away from you if not against a wall or something

So this ended up being a birthday/Christmas present for him. I was surprised how much the steering wheel makes a difference in these driving games. Cornering has never been easier. Maybe I'm just not used to the controller anymore (the last racing game I really played was Gran Turismo on the PS2... yeah, it's been a while). This set is solidly built, and you'll probably need to buy a stand for it; I haven't found a desk that it fits on so far. There are a lot of cables, so be aware of that if you have cats.

Good forcefeedback wheel

Never got around to getting an xbox wheel for Xbox one until this one came along being on sale. I feel the Xbox 360 wheel seemed to have better force feedback feel for understeer and different surfaces. The pedals both brake and gas don’t seem to give me full brake or full gas when fully depressed but still works just fine. I am not a perfect racer so not getting the last 1/100 of full throttle and braking is not a big deal for me. Definitely it is a better experience for racing games compared to using thumb pads. However on thumb pad the rumble of the triggers for gas and brake are quite nice. Higher end steering wheels apparently have pedals that rumble which would give you a better feel of braking.
