Cameras are good when placed in areas a criminal would spend most of their time. Good when placed looking at windows from inside the home. A typical burglar comes in through a window or door and to be able to capture their stupid face is good.

This camera was purchased to gather feedback from prospective buyers, of our home. It has been fantastic, the sound is great, picture too. It works wonderfully with our outdoor system, which is A Lorex system as well. We can watch all cameras on the same app on our phones

When buying this product i was a little concerned with the quality of the camera but after turning it on and seeing it for myself i loved it. Amazing system

The setup process through the app seemed simple enough but it always says “Camera Offline”. Everything, the camera, the phone, the app and even the router was restarted, rebooted, reset and reinstalled in every way possible but to no avail. Still offline. So the only “re” left is to try is to return to store. Over 3 hours to have nothing is way to long.

The lag and quality of this camera to the app ruin the experience for me, and the app needs to be cleaned up and redesigned badly

Easy and quick set up. Has a good quality picture during both day-time and on night-time modes. The app that comes with it is very easy to use as well.

Best security cams on my house and I don’t need to pay monthly any security company

Got two cameras (outdoor and indoor) a week ago, expecting to spend the whole afternoon installing them, connecting the apps, etc... 20 minutes later, both cameras were up and running. The video quality is great, and the app is sleek and self explanatory. So far, my experience is great.

Works well in a spot with power and an internet connection. The alerts on my phone are nice.

I needed a security camera for a relative in an assisted living facility after having a bad issue with one of their staff. After the camera was installed, the service has been excellent.

I kept having problems getting the app to connect and the night vision was horrible.

Camera is great but won't work on T-mobile network because camera only supports IPV4.

After one week while on vacation every time I logged into the app it would say "offline". I even had someone at my house and they said the wifi was working. Can't have anything security you can't rely on!

Cheapest piece of plastic. The mini-USB CONNECTOR bent out-of-box. Not worth buying st any price.

I purchased the new LOREX HD WiFi security camera from Best Buy with the intention of using it inside my apartment window to monitor the outside walkway leading up to my front door. The install was easy once you had the correct application. The correct application lines up with the instruction booklet, the incorrect application does not. It found my WiFi system easily. I placed it on the sill in my window slightly angled to look down the walkway. It is very clear during the day and shows people walking up and down past my apartment. It also records cars and trucks moving a block or two away as well as the lights from cars in our parking lot. While it does have a sensitivity choice, changing it from "medium" to "low" didn't really change the sensitivity much at all. For some reason, at times it does not record. On one occasion, I went out my front door and washed off all of the windows and entry door glass (including the window that the camera is behind) and the camera did not record me... standing right in front of it. Not recording me a couple of times has become a problem. Recordings that it does make are great. The application has several options for different things such as blocking out unwanted distant items, filtering, etc. Problem is, there are no instructions which tell the owner...what the different choices do. You just have to try everything out, and hope you hit on a solution to your question. It does identify a "person" verses regular "motion"...although one day I was pushing a cart and the camera identified me as a "motion".... due to the cart I would imagine. The cord is long enough; the head of the camera gets very warm; the camera is smaller than you might think; nicely made. When your review your recordings, there is no way to easily delete them as a group. You have to delete each one, and you might have 50 depending on what the camera sees behind the closest target. If placed in a room, it will easily record all movement. The recordings are short-timed, thus you end up with a lot of individual recordings. Will I keep this camera or return it to Best Buy, I don't know yet. I still have a couple of days to decide. The biggest problem is the camera recording distant movement and sometimes not recording what is right in front of it. BUT, when it does record correctly, the picture is great...and you will be impressed.

No matter what I did, camera always said off line and it would not work. I have unistalled the app, deleted the camera, re-booted the camera and my wi-fi modem several times, and it still will not work. Not worth the 2hrs I've lost working on this. Definitely do not recommend it! Will return to Best Buy ASAP!

Setting the device up was quick and easy. Video quality is better than I expected. People recognizing feature is awesome!

Setup was a nightmare. Once I got it connected to my network the delay is 20 to 30 seconds on video and the audio. The audio plays back over the camera speaker like an echo several times. Then after all that it does not stay connected to my network. After multiply restarts it loses connection time and time again. Returning to best buy to try a different brand.
