While some may take issue with the addition of a vocalist( or the vocalist herself) there is never any doubt as to what we're listening to. This is first and foremost a JEFF BECK ALBUM!!! And what an album it is. Political and social commentary run through the entire album. Unheard of for any kind of a JB album. You make your own call as to the validity of all that. But, at the very least, this shows that even at 72 he is not afraid to chart a new course for himself. And then there is the guitar. Are you kidding me!?!? The range of sounds and the emotions his guitar conveys is mind boggling. He goes from some of the rudest and crudest sounds a guitar is capable of making, to some of the most melodic and angelic lines imaginable. To be able to express himself equally as well through such a range is an ability that I find almost inconceivable. Great sounds abound! A must buy!!!

Jeff Beck is my favorite amongst the still living members of the Rock Guitar Gods Club. (Jimi will always be King, IMHO!) JB has always continued to grow, never resting on his laurels or going backward into blues like some of his contemporaries. He began a journey with his groundbreaking album "Blow By Blow" into the jazz-influenced rock fusion world that continues to this day. His hand technique is light years ahead of most "rock" guitarists. His band line-up is constantly changing. This line up is a return to his rock roots, with his progressive approach to the guitar and a female-driven band. it is very contemporary RAWK with excellent guitar work by one of the Masters! If you like your Rock loud and raucous, this is a great choice. Really excellent vocals and lyrics, too!

One of Jeff Beck weaknesses (he doesn't have many!) is the quality of material on some of his albums. The playing exceeds the level of the songwriting. Plus for me I get a little bored of all instrumental albums. Here he is joined by girls from the group Bones UK. They inject a needed energy to the songs. Rosie Bones sings topical lyrics with passion and sass. Beck rises to their level of energy. Great to see a man 50 yrs into his career still growing and pushing forward. Play it loud!

I have practically everything Jeff Beck recorded over his 50+ year career. You never know what to expect with a new recording. Here, he works with a new songwriting team (vocalist Rosie Bones and rhythm guitarist Carmen Vandenberg), but no keyboards. The result is a mixed genre crunchy album with excellent guitar work, but no overindulgent soloing. I just saw the new touring outfit a few weeks ago and the new songs sound great live, too. I can't recommend this enough to Jeff Beck fans and guitarists.

I've been a fan of Jeff Beck ever since I heard 'Blue Wind' when it was actually getting radio play (and yes, 'Wired' is better than 'Blow By Blow'...). Skip forward to today and it's almost inconceivable that he's 72. His music resonates like that of a young person, and his guitar skills are as dangerous as ever. Not to mention his status as a mentor to a number of EXTREMELY talented musicians, especially Tal Wilkenfeld (no, she isn't on this release). Buy this. Really. Now.

Jeff Beck is back in the power trio format that has served him well over the years. And he's also playing guitar God again. This is easily one of Beck's overall better albums. The female bassist/vocalist has a bit too much of a cockney accent in her singing voice but it doesn't get in the way. Great songs, great playing. It's good to see Beck over his techno phase. Hope he keeps this band together for a follow up.

From the first listen, I felt that this is the way Jeff Beck should sound in 2016. Loud, aggressive, sublime and sweet; I always thought of JB as having more straight-ahead rock-n-roll, even punk, sensibilities than his other guitar slinging compatriots from post-war England. His choice of pulling in Bones highlights the tone of the disk. Nice statement.

This is a different style of music for JB, I like the female vocals however. Four tracks stand out to me, 'Scared for the Children,' 'Shrine,' 'O.I.L.' & 'Shame.' There are no guitar heroics, however the music is good. I like to see Jeff Beck expanding his musical repertoire.

This is a different, more modern sounding Jeff Beck. The CD is very political and includes a variety of musical styles. If all you want to listen to is Jeff's guitar solos then this is probably not the CD for you. I like how he has progressed and the direction his music is moving in.

Throughout his career Jeff has always pushed the boundaries of electric guitar excellence. Loud Hailer is no exception. His broad musical tastes allows him to draw from a myriad of influences which if reflected in his output. He will always be the best.

Let's face it's Beck....not quite the show stopper that Guitar Shop was but it's Beck and it's terrific. Would have loved one or two less vocals and more instrumentals, but it had me moving...if you love guitar get it.

Jeff Beck is always current and with this release he has stayed that way. The music here is a break from his more jazzy style as of late. This music is more edgy and sometimes reminds me of his rock days during the sixties.

Glad to see Jeff return to music that is not strictly instrumental. He still shows his brillant playing but it is intergrated with the vocals like the old days with the Yardbirds and Rod Stewart

This is Jeff Beck's most accessible album yet! Jeff shows his chops are still among the worlds best ,while taking a more modern approach with vocals and rhythm. There is something for everyone .

Jeff Beck has been around since the early sixties. His guitar work is some of the best around. I don't know where he found those two ladies but they form a great trio. Loud Hailer one of the best of 2016.

Guitars were awesome, but the vocals while not exactly my style ,are taking some getting used to. I have to admit the last song is so far, my favorite song without a doubt.

I purchased this after seeing him in concert with the new backing band. A refreshing twist fro him sounding a bit like a mix between Jeff Beck and Rage against the Machine.

Jeff Beck again refuses to rest on his guitar hero status. He takes chances and they work. A great album with lots of the great guitar playing one expects from Jeff Beck
