TL;DR Get it. It's great. I want to preface this with I bought this M1 MacBook to replace my 2012 MBP. It was a tank with many, many ports. It still stings that it finally died. My initial hesitance about this M1 MacBook is that it doesn't have nearly enough ports. I know, we're moving to a wireless world. But I really enjoy my ports. Despite not having enough ports I absolutely love this machine. It's beautiful. It's fast. The keyboard is wonderful. The color? UNBELIEVABLE. Frankly, the battery life is absurdly good. I've had this machine for almost a month and I have only had to charge it once. Granted I don't use it a ton, but it's still impressive. It's so light and easy to handle I can't believe I lugged my tank MBP around for so long. If you're looking to upgrade and are worried about missing your ports or it being too small/light, then you'll be pleasantly surprised. I genuinely don't miss my ports much and the dongles aren't nearly as much of a hassle as I anticipated. Switching to a lighter weight machine has been fine and I don't miss the heaft of my old MBP at all.

It don't close open widows property and not easy to use

This new MacBook Air with the M1 chip is amazing! It completely blows my old MacBook Pro out of the water in regards to battery life and staying cool and quiet. I was worried about running my Adobe apps on this at first, not sure if it could keep up. But I've never had a slow down in either Illustrator or Photoshop, and the computer never even gets hot. I can also have Illustrator, Photoshop, iMessage and Safari with about 6-7 tabs all open at the same time, and my battery will drop maybe 2%-3% in an hour. It's incredible how smooth and efficient this thing is. Save your money on the MacBook Pro and just go with an Air. It's thin, light, portable, and most important of all, fast!

I absolutely loved this laptop and returned it. For me the hard drive wasn't big enough because of large files. It is fine for an average user. I purchased one through Apple in order to buy a larger hard drive and additional ram. The build quality of this laptop is exceptional and I actually prefer using it to the M2 MacBook Air because of its traditional MacBook Air form factor. I love the gold color, the sound, fingerprint sensor, keyboard and Retina display. If you are lucky enough to find one on sale, you will not be disappointed. It is a joy to use as a daily driver and is extremely portable. It is very powerful, passively cooled and the the battery life is very good.

I am enjoying the use of my new MacBook Air. I was a long long time user of HP products. What I really am having an issue is no standard USB port. That is the only thing I have an issue with. I love everything else. I love the size of the track pad and the way the keys are. Though I was not impressed with the lack of help I received from Best Buy store associates. This must be the best investment I have made in a long while. Portability is great. the size Is perfect. Though most of my work is spreadsheets and documents. Surfing the web is great. I love the battery life. I get a week of use out of on charge. Speed has been great, but this is only a month old. display is great.

Got it to run my small business - the apps and features on this make life easier - much easier than my HP where excel and everything else I had to pay for additionally as Numbers and Pages comes already on this thing for free. M1 chip is definitely worth it in my opinion. I refused to get a MacBook for the longest time as Apple products seem to go outdated quite fast and was assured by both Best Buy employees and Apple that the M1 would be their go to for some time. PROS - Fast processing, awesome display, seems to live forever between charges, microphone is good for being internal, easy to navigate, pre-installed apps to replace the expensive *** Microsoft apps I had before, lightweight, extremely slim so fits in every bag I own, enough settings to customize this to anyone (adaptability, sensitivity, voice command, etc), great laptop for students or small business owners CONS- camera is crap (but, it's a standard laptop cam, expect it on all laptops), needing adapters for literally anything that's not the charger (usb, SD card, etc), tends to get warm quickly but has yet to overheat

Recently purchased the MacBook Air 13 Laptop" with MI chip. Replaced my 2013 MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Air is lighter, yet packs a punch. The laptop is super fast with the M1 chip, The screen resolution is better. The battery life is 50% better. The migration of data from old to new computer was quite easy with peer to peer, wireless migration of all programs, documents, contacts etc. I suggest you review a good YouTube video before you do the migration. Only cons.... No USB ports and charging cable plug in does not indicate when charging is complete. You will likely need to buy an adapter with multiple USB ports & HDMI port. Available online from many vendors. This is a great computer for users who are not gamers or need creative software programs, or users who have high video content use, complex editing software or want a bigger screen for creative work / design. A great computer for traveling, lightweight and easy to take anywhere. Finger print ID key is great for being able to bypass password login every time you log in.
