I was looking for something different to help maintain my factory steering wheel controls. After some research I found this unit. This was easy to program and install after reading the book on line. I even called Maestro for a question and they was very helpful. So far I have not had any issues with my factory controls working with my new radio.

works as it should, kept my steering wheel controls except now the right side button that moves the selector up and down is now reversed. down is up and up is down, not sure why this is. not a big deal but kinda annoying

Maestro is a great add on to any radio especially when you are talking about replacing radios in older vehicles. I had this installed with the Pioneer radio I bought from Best Buy in my 2008 Nissan Sentra. Maestro was able to retain all of my car functions that I previously had as well as adding some new ones that I didn't have that my vehicle or its components were capable of. For instance, most if not all vehicles come with TPMS Sensors on the tires. I have had them replaced since the vehicle was over 10 years old. The way they used to work was that if the tire pressure got old a warning light would come on the dash with the low tire pressure symbol. With the Maestro installed with my new radio, on my radio display I can select the TPMS screen and it will now give me the Tire Pressure where my car did not have that before. In my particular vehicle the car data was on a separate digital screen above the original radio. When the original radio was removed and the new one was installed, I would have lost the capability of all of the vehicle data and door open warnings etc if I did not purchase Maestro. It works great and in conjunction with the new radio I get all kinds of cool screens with all my vehicle data in more modernized formats that the old legacy gauges on the dash. I would recommend the Maestro unit to anyone replacing their radio especially in older vehicles.

The maestro rr steering wheel interface works great. The harnesses seamlessly connect the aftermarket stereo to the steering wheel controls. The software to install on the module makes set up a breeze. I used this on a 2016 Highlander, there were a couple of buttons that were not programmable. Would like to see this improved with an update.

The Maestro Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Interface was needed to connect the new Kenwood Radio I purchased at best buy to my backup camera, steering wheel controls, and vehicle system diagnostics in my 2014 Camry. This part along with the Maestro harness makes the installation easy. It is a necessary part unless you know how to make all the connections work without the harness, and I don't.

Do your research based on your vehicle and what radios you are considering to see which functions you can retain. The web based interface for flashing the unit is great. Certain buttons on your steering wheel can be reprogrammed to work new functions on your radio. Other handy functions are the built in code reader for any check engine lights that may come on.

This is a must have if the stereo you purchase is compatible with Idata Maesteo. Gives you vehicle info on the screen of your stereo. Even check engine codes. You only have to buy a wire harness that is compatible for your vehicle. You need to use a laptop to program the steering wheel controls if you have them. Don't hesitate. This is totally worth it!!! Love the vehicle info on the screen of my Pioneer!!!

I recently upgraded my OEM radio in my 2008 Honda and installed the Maestro RR to keep the steering wheel controls. The Maestro works great. And with the Pioneer radio, I am also to get statistics on my car too, including tire pressure! As a note, if you want to customize the controls, you need to flash the unit before it is installed. The process is relatively painless but must be done before installation.

Excellent product. Definitely look at getting the head unit that requires Maestro. When ordering, the cost to add the Maestro actually reduced the overall package cost - an excellent deal - and gave us so much more functionality!
Can use steering wheel controls and get car information as well.

With this I am able to use steering wheel controls and see all my vehicles info right on my pioneer In-dash screen. I can even run diagnostic codes right from my stereo. My only beef is it's pretty pricey and you need to buy 2 separate components to make it work (depending on vehicle and what you plan on using it for).

This thing is awesome! Enabled me to retain full functionality of the steering wheel controls in my truck with the new radio and provided some extra features, e.g. speed, rpm, tire pressure, etc. Was super easy to install.

It's great having the same steering wheel controls as before. I love the new stereo system for my Ford F150. My factory stereo was so 2014. My backup camera went black, and it gave me the perfect opportunity to purchase a new one. I'm glad I did.

In order to retain my 360 camera view in my truck, this is a must have item. The Maestro also allows you to retain all of the steering wheel controls. I'm gals I listened to the installer and bought the Maestro!

The maestro rr is definitely the best interface out there for aftermarket stereos in my opinion. It’s very versatile with all the different accessories you can you use.
