Fantastic soundtrack, gory action, great acting. Mafia 3 is addicting. The extras in the Deluxe Edition, including the Season's Pass, make this an excellent gaming value.

I love the game, it has a great story and graphics. They did a great job of making the fictional city seem like a real place. I beat the game the first week or two of release so it was still very, incredibly buggy and glitchy.. it got frustrating a few times. The game is also very repetitive, a lot of missions are very similar and the AI is pretty bad, you can almost fully approach enemies and hide before they even notice you. I did like the character movements and the whole driving system, it runs smooth like a good GTA style game. Even with all the things that need work, the game sucked me in. I dont know if it was the 1960s new orleans feel or the brutal knife takedowns when performing stealth kills on the clueless AI enemies or the takedown of white supremacist groups, this game has a lot to do and it does a good job of making you want to see it all. A really great game, maybe the next one will be a classic.

I love the setting of this game, the cars and the music. I really like Lincoln Clay's character and understand why he's doing what he's doing. But the one thing I don't like is how repetitive it is. After awhile it seems like you're doing the same types of missions over and over. I hope in a future update they make this game more open world with different types of missions and things to do.

This is a pretty fun game. There are some issues, but it doesn't distract from making the game enjoyable. The AI is pretty dumb, but I could care less about that. I don't need the smartest AI in a game. It is also a little redundant. There isn't much variety in the game. Even with these little issues, it is still a good game.

The game really captures the era and place. The soundtrack is really good with alot of classic rock jams. With the Xbox one X enhancement this game really looks amazing finally. It was fuzzy on the S.

Great story having hard time putting my controller done. This game has a really good storyline and is quite accurate with the depiction of Louisiana the game play is great the combat is pretty realistic but this game isn't without its quirks but there not bad enough to take away from this masterpiece only cons are so far the textures aren't that good for an Xbox one game but that could be fixed with an update graphics are really good but like I said the textures are kinda bad if your driving a car for example for fast other then that can't find a fault in this game I would highly recommend this it's a great successor to mafia 2

- Pro - * Lincoln Clay was a compelling protagonist. * I loved John Donovan. * The documentary cutscenes are great and really set the tone. * THE SOUNDTRACK. * The combat is gory and very satisfying. * The storyline is compelling enough to keep you going. * The set-piece missions while taking out higher up mob bosses are truly awesome. - Con - * The mission structure is very, very, very repetitive. * Way too many fetch-quest filler. * No real benefit to building up your mafia outside of a specific perk and a specific weapon. * The graphics are incredibly inconsistent, from near life like to pretty abysmal. * The pop in on console makes driving fast dangerous. * No fast travel means traveling across the map several times in a mission for unneeded filler. * World still feels empty and lifeless. ---- Final thoughts ---- I don't know why I liked Mafia 3 enough to play through it twice, but I did. I got all 1960gs and truly had a blast despite its shortcomings. This game could have been a masterpiece, but it just never even got close in most areas. The writing was spot on, the social aspects were relevant, and a few levels here and there really shined. But, nope. There was way too much fetch-quest filler, there are literally five mission types repeated over and over, and other than the big set piece missions, the game felt half baked. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed the DLC, but it feels like it should be a guilty pleasure admission and not a recommendation. It's not a AAA game, but I got my money's worth. 3/5 stars.

After having issues on pc with a 1060 card, I bought the xbox one version for use on the X. It's now a much more stable and consistent experience. This game's soundtrack and story have few rivals. The drawbacks are the repetitive gameplay, average shotting mechanics, and subpar driving physics. But if you can put up with that, it's definitely a buy. Mafia 3 is as close as you'll get to new single player dlc for gta v.

Huge open world, fantastic story, and great gameplay set the stage for Mafia 3. You have to play it to really experience it.

Skeptical at first since this is the first Mafia game I played in the series, and I have to say it's a great game! The story and cut scenes are done extremely well and the music is awesome! It's a must have if you like a good single player campaign.

Story line is terrific, setting in N. O. is great. lots of action and details for FPS.

I absolutely love this game. I am a long time fan of the franchise and feel that this is the best installment yet. That is saying a lot as I loved the other two. Even to the point where I played Mafia II several times, never getting bored with it. If you like open world action games, I highly recommend this one.

Base game has a great storyline, combat is pretty good, but be prepared for a lot of cinematic cutscenes. DLC doesn't expand on much just a few more things to do, was a bit to short for paid content in my opinion.

Mafia 3 story like is exceptional, especially the setting in mock Louisiana late 60's. Typical Grand theft auto type play with a better story behind it. I highly recommend if your into the RPG style gaming.

I like the whole 1960's vibe with this game. From the music to the atmosphere, a pretty solid game. I didn't play the first 2, so I cannot compare the previous one to this one, however I think its good.

I could not stop playing this game! I played it all night. Objective of game was to over throw leader and get revenge. Really liked the story line. I liked that it came won the season pass. Great price for the game!

Great story line in the next chapter on Mafia. A lot of different options included in this game. Backdrop for New Orleans was fantastic. Hope they are working on the next story line, maybe a more modern version.

This is a beautiful game, amazing soundtrack very fun. Only downside is the fact that most of the missions are very repetitive, you do the same thing just in a different location.
