Setup was pretty straightforward. Mount speakers and run wires. Carbon fiber weave speakers look too good to put speaker covers on. Quality of the amplifier and speaker can be felt. The system has a solid feel to it with heft. Setting up was pretty easy with downloading the Sonos app. The app walks you right through with connecting to wifi and logging into whatever your music account of choice to stream. Sound quality was crystal clear and clean. However, I felt the low end was anemic. The amplifier does come with a sub out to connect an external subwoofer to fill that missing note in. Does not come with speaker wires, guess Sonance leaves that decision to the listener. Overall if you like high end, high quality sound with wifi then this will impress your friends and neighbors and is expandable. You can control it from you smart phone through the app or connect the remote.

Super impressive system! The Sonos/Sonance outdoor system is a very sleek looking system with stunning sound. The look of the speakers is so nice and modern with a powder white finish. Hookup and system setup is the same as other sound systems but with the added task of mounting the system to the exterior of your house. The speakers come with mounting hardware in the box. However, you may need additional hardware depending on where you decide to put it up. The main base should be located inside since it is not waterproof. To finish the setup, you need to download the app, which is simple to use. It made pairing a breeze! Once setup, you can stream music with this system from your favorite streaming service (Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, etc). The included remote is a lovely touch. Sonos is known for their amazing sound, so it goes without saying that the sound from this system is amazing. I tested them while swimming in my pool and wow! Beautiful sound filled my whole back yard. These would be amazing for hosting a party. This system is a monumental upgrade over my bluetooth wireless speaker. You'll experience higher highs and nice lows. This system will be perfect for anyone looking for a high-end outdoor sound system. Definitely on my recommended list. Purchase one and love it like I am. Be the envy of your neighbors.

The only wireless feature these have are is the streaming from the app to the amp and the iPort, but beware the iPort is only for Apple users, so you are out of luck if running Android. Sonos always has great quality and these are just as great as the indoor speakers. The speakers are rugged and have a great design for being outdoors. Speakers come with stands and the wires tuck up and inside from the rear. The sound quality is what you'd expect from Sanos and exceeds any outdoor speaker I have yet to hear. Adjust the EQ settings in the app for optimal bass and treble settings. I like mine better with the grilles off, the carbon fiber speaker is way cool looking. Just keep in mind that you need to have speakers already ran or will need to run speaker wires from inside your home to where the new speakers will be kept, the amp is not recommended to be kept outside.

Don't get me wrong, this 2 channel outdoor system is probably (no, definitely) is the best that I've ever owned, but it costs quite a bit due to the Sonance name. But you get what you pay for I guess. However I feel it'd optimal at a 25% cost reduction, to which I'd probably get another set. We have a backyard patio where it's really windy and it's hard to hear dinky little speakers because of the wind. These take care of that :) Set up is straightforward, and I haven't had problems with the app. I do highly recommend these but at a lower price if possible.

    Sonance 2 Ch. Outdoor System

This is one of the best home systems I have ever heard. The music comes through with depth and sounds absolutely fantastic. It takes a bit longer to install than I had anticipated, as the Amp should not be installed outside. It also does not come with any speaker wire, so plan on getting that separately. I had a little trouble getting the remote to pair, but that likely had to do with my version of iOS, because I did it successfully with another device that did not have the most recent update. The remote seems to work instantaneously for me, as opposed to some of the other reviews (on the remote) that I had read. Adding favorite stream sources is fairly simple in the app, as well as linking the sources to the app. The software side of the install was quite simple and straightforward. Install the Sonos app and it guides you through the process.

This is one heavy duty system! It pairs 2 Sonance speakers with a Sonos 250W amplifier and an iPort xPress audio keypad. If you are familiar with Sonos products, you know that they deliver high quality audio in relatively small packages. Combined with the 2 Sonance speakers it provides a “knock your socks off” level of sound that is truly amazing. The hardest part of the installation is deciding where to locate the speakers. I installed mine under the eaves in my patio area and fed the speaker wires up through the attic space. I located the Sonos amp in the master bedroom which is next to the attic space. This system did not include a subwoofer, but I already had an outdoor sub-woofer that I wasn’t currently using, so I hooked that up as well. The speakers come with very well crafted mounting brackets. Once you place the brackets, the speakers just slide into place with a very firm click.. Once I had all my speakers in place, I connected the speaker wire to the Sonos amp with the included banana plugs and I was ready to configure the amp. I downloaded the Sonos app which walked me through the initial set up. This is where I became slightly annoyed. The Sonos amp requires that you connect it via Ethernet cable to your router. Not a problem except that my router is nowhere near where I am going to place the amp. I unplugged the amp from power and speakers and brought it into the room where my router is and connected it there. Once I connected it to Ethernet, the set up process is quite easy and straight forward. Note: if you plan on using the amp over Wi-Fi as I am, then make sure you set up wifi on the amp while it’s still connected to the Ethernet cable using the Sonos app. This type of setup seems a bit outdated, but as long as you follow the instructions, you shouldn’t have any issues. Another annoyance is that the iPort xPress keypad requires an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 10 or later) to set it up. We use android devices in my house, but fortunately I had an older iPad Mini in the house so I was able to proceed. Not providing an android app for set up seems like a major oversight to me. Once I got everything setup and plugged back in, I used the Sonos app to connect to the music services I use. It supports most popular services. From there I was ready to hear what this system could do. All I Can say is that I was in awe of the power and clarity this system delivered. It is not just a “wake the neighbors” type of system, it’s a “wake the neighborhood system.” I live in a very quiet residential area, so I probably won’t be using this to its full potential, but if you want a system that delivers loud, clear and crisp sound, then this is it. Sure you pay a premium, but you definitely get what you pay for. This might be overkill for a small outdoor space, but this is perfect if you want sound to carry over a large area. Another thing to note: while the speakers are weather proof, the Sonos amp is not, so make sure you plan for that. It’s not really a problem since the iPort express remote and/or the Sonos app can manage access to the amp for your music services and volume as long as they are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Great amp and speakers but worthless remote

I've had these items installed for about 4 weeks now. The Amp and Speakers are amazing, but the remote is a worthless piece of junk. It only supports iOS for setup, and even after the terrible set up it didn't work. Hours wasted with their tech support, and Best Buy wouldn't return or replace it.

    Sonance outdoor speakers NOT WORTH.

Purchased it at the end of 2020, and installed them May 2021. Used it for the summer of the 2021 and it worked fine. Then went to use it the next summer of 2022 and one of the speakers was not working. There was no sound coming from it. I changed the speakers thinking that it was the wires. But after changing the speakers it still not working with no sound. I have the Total Tech with Best Buy. I'm trying to see if Best Buy will let me exchange them since I have Total Tech. But for this speakers to coast $1300.00 and only be good for one summer, POOR QUALITY.

Despite the constant mentions of "wireless," "streaming," and "outdoor" the only thing about this system that's wireless is the wall controller. The Sonos amp part of this setup is fully wired. Both to power and, more importantly, to the speakers. To boot, it's an indoor-only device. So if you do intend to use this as an outdoor system you'll be drilling holes *through your house*. My expectation of an "outdoor streaming music system" was that it would be fully wireless. Looking over the box, the only way to know it's a wired system is to carefully examine one small mention of speaker wire. That said, the sound from the speakers is truly incredible and you get everything you expect from Sonos and the Sonos app. However, beware again as the iPort wireless remote is only pairable with an iOS device, sorry Android users.
