A good atmospheric ghost story from the mind of Guillermo del Toro but I’m a huge fan of Jessica Chastain

well what can i say about mama it is alot better than i thought it is a good ghost story and it has a shocker in it i never saw it coming and i won't tell you where it is in it you just got to watch it to see for your self but it is a very good ghost story so check it out if you want to watch a good horror movie so check it out if you want to see a good ghost story

The creepy atmosphere is the main appeal of this film, which looks and sounds fine on Blu-ray. Nice extras, including the short film that generated the project. Commentary not bad, though I wish Del Toro had done second one. If slasher-type horror is your thing, you may want to skip this classier take on the genre.

Bought this for my husband, he liked it alot. The poor kids freaked both of us out....would be terrible. The movie is/was so cheap that it is worth the risk of purchasing. We enjoyed it....creepy!

MAMA is a fun and creepy little horror film that's not high on the gore. It's PG-13, which horror fans can tend to stay away from, but this one is among the best! The CGI actually kinda works, since the monster is all bendy and twisty. The characters were original and the whole concept felt fresh.

A dark kind of fairy tale revolving around two girls. Similar tone and feel as the orphanage, the woman in black, etc. Really solid story in a well played, well shot film. Don't go in expecting the scariest, goriest, horror film.. and you'll enjoy it for exactly what it is. A fun, dark, jumpy movie that's well executed, and will keep you guessing til the end.

This was not your average horror movie. There was a little more suspense. The plot was well written, but it did drag in some places, but overall, I was impressed with the movie as a whole. It was a little different from the average horror movies of today.

Enjoyed this movie primarily for it's unique plot...ending was a bit "hokey" for me at first until I thought it through - then it made sense. I liked it - had some "creepy" moments.

Good horror movie for this generation they dnt make them like I was growing up anymore but was a good movie those kids especially the young 1 was creepy nd mama was terrifying

Hasn't been much originality in horror films lately, but this is stylish and creepy enough to warrant watching. Especially around Halloween.

Was not as cliche' as I thought it would be; the ending surprised me. We liked the psychological and sociological aspects of the film. Great filmography.

I'd been looking for this film for a while and I'm glad I finally found it! I remember watching it in theaters and being really crept out by it, absolutely love the production design and the story.

First off, this movie was produced by Guillermo del Toro so I knew that the effects would be super, which they were! Also the movie is super creepy but an excellent addition to your collection.

Was really looking forward to this but not caught it in its theatrical run. Picked it up on bluray as a blind buy and wasn't disappointed! Very well made and acted, just the type of ghost movie I was craving.

I've always loved this film and am so glad to finally own it.It's very effectively creepy and has a great story.

This movie doesn't have your typical ending and that is what I like about it the most. It is not a cookie cutter movie ending. The movie written well. and the special effects were beautifully done.
