This tripod is very well built and sturdy for many applications. We have used it for several different uses including our camera and projector for ourdoor movies. It has enough weight to it that even on uneven ground with a projector it there is no worries of it falling over. Very easy to use and can be rotated to fit any angle needed.

Tripod is very durable. It also shrinks down to a small size that fits into its own case.

I used this once so far to record a Christmas play in which one of my sons had a premiere part. The tripod worked flawlessly and gave me excellent video, despite me being a beginner videographer. I'm extremely pleased with how it performed. It was sturdy and operated smoothly, was easy to setup and folds up fairly compact considering it is not a travel tripod. It is very light, and I feel I will have no issues bringing it to any events. I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm glad I didn't spend more on a "better" tripod, and I'm glad I didn't spend less on a budget tripod.

Bought this after buying another on Amazon that just wasn't sturdy enough for my Canon T3i and zoom lens. This one holds it fine..much sturdier product. The adjustment handles are akward..seem to be in the way of each other. I haven't played with it much so that could be just me. I do wish it had a built in level as the "flimsier" model had.

I had read that Manfrotto tripods were the best to purchase. They’re known for their sturdiness and provide the assistance needed for sharper images. They were right! However the two handles it has need some getting used to, they tend to rub against each other and can be difficult to provide a straight photo, they come out crooked sometimes but that’s totally fixable in post production.

Excellent when arms set properly!

Many poor reviews for this tripod with 3-way head criticize the way the arms interfere with each other. That is because it is not being set up properly. I had the same problem but today I resolved it. When you are setting up the tripod from its folded position you loosen the two adjustment arms on the head. The arm that is adjusted with the right hand should be able to be moved to a position at 90 degrees to the other arm. If you aren't able to move it to 90 degrees, loosen it more and you will be able to. I had not loosened the right arm enough to take it all the way out of the folded position before starting to tighten. If you look at the arm there is a curved piece on the head that becomes a flat section. Rotate the arm to the flat section before tightening. This will require loosening it more. Look at the photos on the Manfrotto website and you will see the position of the arms when ready for use. When it is in this position it can be tightened securely. The arms should not be one over the other unless you are putting the tripod away and wish it to be as compact as possible. I hope this helps those having trouble with it.

This tripod has great height variation and I like the separate horizontal and verticle adjusting handles allow my company to get angles precise, which is required for real estate photography so distortion is minimal. The ONE complaint I have is that the neck is adjusted with a screw. My old tripod had a handle that cranked that neck up and down for more precise tripod height adjustment. With this tripod. you have to unscrew the wing bolt, hold the tripod down while moving the neck up and down, and then screw it back in again. This is very inconvenient and time consuming. I need to be looking through the lens or at the camera screen to see what the best height is for many shots and this feature makes that difficult.

With my most expensive camera and some heavy lenses, I feel comfortable using this tripod without worrying about it tipping over. That is important to me. The feel is solid and the weight is easy to travel with.

This tripod is a great balance between portability and stability. When folded, it can easily fit in a carry-on luggage. The release and lock clips are very fast to operate. I've mounted my Sony A5100 (mirrorless) and larger Nikon D700 with 24-70mm lens (total weight around 6 pounds) on it and it worked great.

even tho' the tripod is lightweight, once it is extended and supporting your camera, it is extremely stable. i've used it while on the side of a hill with uneven leg adjustments and felt safe that it wouldn't fail me. Very dependable product but then again.....IT IS A MANFROTTO !!

Decent for Travel

I purchased mostly to use for traveling as it is a little more compact since it has 4 leg segments. The best features is that it is fairly easy to use and is lightweight enough to lug around. The biggest complaints I would have is that there is no level on the tripod itself, which is fine in most cases since most new cameras have it built in but would be helpful if you are doing any panning shots or video as it is hard to get level in both directions. I also don't think it is sturdy enough for doing longer exposures, timelapse, or video if there is any wind as it is not super sturdy when legs are extended.

I got this for hiking and is more compact ,, it will hold 6 lbs with no problem and I put 8 lbs on to test but it will wobble more and I would only do that if I really have to ... I have another manfrotto that is twice the size of this one but is twice the weight and length to carry ... but the great thing is both use the same camera mount ...
It advertises to extend 65" but I was surprise it extended to 72" max ,, which is a bonus for me which made me not get this sooner ... if you want to take longer exposures shots such as sunset and landscapes ,, I usually use my smaller setup with wide lens so this tripod is perfect for that
For the negative reviews about the handles ,, there is nothing wrong with them ,, those people need to read the instructions ,, but if you just looked at them and can see one swings out ,, and can swing back to be compact ... so it does not interfere with each other ,,, it is also shown on the box picture
The real negative is the camera weight mount is at an offset angle of the rotation center-line of the left-right and up-down ,, that the camera center of gravity weight requires you to hold it all the time especially if you not have the screw handles on tight ,,

This Manfrotto tripod is durable & very affordable. It's definitely a good pickup. The build feels strong & I've never worried about it tipping over.
I would have liked it more if there were indicators that showed my positioning as leveled.

Very sturdy tripod. The only downside is the awkward adjustable head and the last extendable leg is a little weak. Good for landscape photography and lightweight but extremely sturdy

Recently purchased a new DSLR camera and needed a tripod for shooting portraits and night shots. The Manfrotto tripod comes complete with the head and two levers for adjusting camera positions. The tripod is sturdy and the camera is secure when mounted. It even comes with a bag to carry it in. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
