This is a complete game changer. We already had a theater that nobody thought could exist. We plugged this in the other day and activated the Dirac. And there's no sense going to the movies anymore.

This unit works wonderfully is able to manage high fidelity sound well and captures the bass how you would expect from a high end unit. It has capablites well above its price range with separation of subs and handles my 7.2.4 set up perfectly. If you can afford it, its a must buy for audio video lovers.

Extremely quiet AV processor (SINAD measured at 112dB by Audioholics). Multiple 4K120/8K60 inputs. Supports up to 15.4 channels with the 4 subs being independent for individual delay and level. Supports both Dirac (additional cost) and Audyssey MultEQ-X (additional cost) alonf with standard Audyssey MultEQ-XT32(built-in). Cons no legacy video inputs like composite or component video. Porthole display is kind of useless but its a traditional part of Marantz’s legacy designs. Final thoughts best AV processor with an extreme amount of configurable options to the end user.

Why does the title say 125W?? This is a processor, not an amp

Hello. Your observation is spot-on. The AV10 is a processor, not an amplifier. Evidently, there is an error which needs to be correcting with this information. marantz

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the ongoing issues I have experienced with my Marantz AV10. Approximately 15 months after buying my AV10, it did not power up correctly. After troubleshooting with Marantz Customer Service, I was instructed to send the preamp to a certified repair facility in Hawaii, only to discover that the facility was no longer in business. Subsequently, I was directed to a service center on the East Coast for repairs.| When I inquired about buying a new AV10 and having my account credited upon return of the non-working unit, my request was denied. Instead, I was told that a new unit would only be sent to me after they received the faulty one—exactly what I had proposed. For two months, I faced multiple delays, misinformation and bold face lies on the dispatch of a new AV10 as agreed upon. It became clear that Marantz did not have any new units available and that my original unit would undergo standard repair processes. After countless communications with Marantz, someone from Marantz Corporate finally reached out and promised to investigate further. Eventually, after two months of waiting, I received a reconditioned AV10—a resolution far from ideal but one that left me with no other options at that time. Regrettably, the reconditioned unit lasted only four months before developing issues. Specifically, the right front channel became inoperative. Following protocol once again, I contacted Customer Service, and we went through a troubleshooting procedure over the phone. It was decided that this unit must be shipped back for repairs on the mainland. I called the repair station and was informed that repairs could take as long as two months or longer if parts are needed. To put this into perspective: within two years of buying the Marantz flagship preamp for $7,000.00, we will be unable to enjoy our custom home theater for four months due to these issues. When discussing this situation with representatives from Marantz Corporate, they assured me they were sorry about the inconvenience and it shouldn’t take so long this time; however, their timeline contradicts what I was told directly by the repair station when I called them. This level of service is unacceptable given my earlier experiences and ongoing frustrations with Marantz products and services. As someone who has enjoyed using Marantz products for 50 years, it’s obvious Marantz is no longer concerned about customer loyalty, and it’s disheartening they no longer value their high-end clientele that meet such significant issues without adequate resolution or support.
