didn't even know this movie was out... when I was aware and ordered it immediately and must say was incredible..... ☆☆☆☆☆ all the way!!!!!

Being a long time fan of Metallica I had a friend tell me about this movie. I quickly searched the internet and came across this copy on Best Buy. Although I wasn't too sure about the package contents, it lead me to believe that I was purchasing a 3 disc set. 1 3D Blu Ray, 1 standard Blu Ray and a DVD. When my package arrived, I received 1 3D Blu Ray and that was it. There was a code that I could go online and redeem for a digital DVD copy that you could download and view on personal devices. I downloaded the digital copy and burned it to a DVD. I have a 3D computer and I watched the movie. Excellent movie. But when I tried to play the 3D Blu Ray copy on my PS3, all I got was sound and no picture. I tried on a friends stand alone Blu Ray player and it would not play period. Movie was great, package contents misleading. I figured I got what I ordered so there was no need to contact Best Buy and lodge my complaint.

This is quite possibly the best DVD I have ever heard. The cinematics are crisp. The story line was interesting. The sound, however, was like being there. I have seen Metallica in concert, but always hated the live music recordings. Now that this DVD exists, I don't need to watch it. Although I do. This is a concert DVD. It is staged and scripted, which people seem to miss. But there is also this back story video that follows the music as it follows the character though an oncoming apocalypse. Which really makes this one long music video, to live music. So it's not a concert DVD, but also not a movie. Yet this excels as both.

There's somewhat of a story going on but this disc is more about seeing Metallica in 3D and hearing them rock out in HD audio. The 3D is pretty awesome and you actually feel like you're in the crowd. The stage setup is pretty cool. Metallica knows how to bring it. The story that's occurring while the concert is happening is a bit cheesy but still entertaining and goes well with the music. You MUST have a 3D t.v and either a 3D blu ray player or PS3 to view this disc. I was able to watch it in 2D by pressing the 3D button on my t.v remote but it would've been nice if they simply included a separate 2D copy of the film. It's still worth getting if you're a fan and if you have a 3D t.v and 3D player.

Ok, so Metallica has only been touring outside the United States for a few years now, and my budget is not allowing me to enjoy foreign travel anytime soon, so this movie is the next best thing to seeing Metallica live. I love this movie! The action is great, suspense is awesome... you will be DYING to know what is in the bag!!!! I'm not telling. Seeing Metallica up close and personal in this movie with such clarity.... it looks as if you could just reach out and touch them! That alone is worth much more than the price of this DVD to me! \m/

Metallica is my favorite rock bank and this movie rocks! Its got all the elements: a kick@$$ concert on an epic stage with spectacles that pays tribute to their best songs like Ride the Lightening, One, And Justice for All, while juxtaposed to a plot of the band's groupie sent on a perilous journey to refuel and recover a mysterious item from a broken down tour truck. This film is a thrill ride of Metallica's signature hard-pounding tunes and intense action assaulting the senses

I'm a huge Metallica fan so I had high hopes for this movie. Saw it in Imax 3d and loved it. My ears were ringing like I had been at a concert. It's just as good at home on my 3d TV. The only disappointing thing with the movie is the story that goes along with the concert. It's not bad but by the end you feel like it could've been better.

I bought this version cause like most 3d versions usually contain a standard blueray 2d. This doesn't. I took it back and got the cheaper standard blueray version. The version that contains both was $60, tottally out of the question. Love the 2d version, live Metallica footage, combined with a cool side story! Watch it on 11 (volume level from Spinal Tap) and make sure your home theatre has beefy bass! Just awesome Metallica!

Metallica still has it, this concert was amazing! Reminds me of the first and last time I saw them live. So full of energy, the crowd was hot too! The movie special effects were awesome too.. The story-line is good enough for me.. Could be great for those who are into that genre but horrible to those who just 'don't get it'. But if you LOVE Metallica, then get this.. NOW! Injustice for All!

I am not a big Metallica fan but I decided to see this movie in IMAX 3D and it was one of the greatest theater experiences of my life! I bought the 3D Blu-Ray and played it on my 7.4 surround sound system and it was still a great movie to enjoy! Do yourself a favor and watch this in 3D with a high end sound system. You will not regret it!

I saw this concert in IMAX when it first released. It was 3D and very loud which was amazing. I thought I would get a momento when I bought this but I was wrong. it was just as amazing as IMAX 3D. I watched it on a loud 5.1 sound system and a large 3D tv. They incorporate all the best aspects of all there previous tours and they sound best they have in a while.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone that either appreciates or is a fan of Metallica's music or rock/metal music over the years. Plus the special features & great acting by newcomer from my Lehigh Valley area from Allentown, PA by Dane DeHaan. Overall it's a great movie & in my opinion one of the greatest live concert movies to hit the big screen & DVD!

As the title says. The Best Concert Bluray ever. The 3d brings the experience to life and almost interactive. Even without the submovie story it was a visual and audio feast for the mind. Even if you aren't a Metallica fan is worth checking out. I wish I could find more 3d concert blurays. This is the ultimate 3d concert experience

What more do you want? Well, of course besides being at the actual concert.... This is the next best thing! Watching Metallica in full 3 dimension on your big screen at home is the next best experience! And then, in a movie as well, is most awesome!

This is a great concert film. 3d video and 5.1 audio quality both earn 5 stars. Metallica fans with 3d setup and surround sound will not be disappointed. However, there is NO 2d version included with this blu ray - only 3d. Typically blu ray 3d can also play in 2d, but that is not the case with this release. At this price, this drawback is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.

If you are a Metallica fan, then definitely check out this DVD. The 3D is some of the best I have ever seen for a live concert. Lots of different camera angles in the movie. You see the stage from Metallica's perspective.

If you enjoy Metallica in concert, this is a film for you. From the hard driving tunes, to the elaborate stage, to the roadie side story, this movie hits them all. The 3D is pretty good and the sound quality is top notch. A must see for Metallica fans.

This was my first Metallica bluray purchase and let me tell you it is awesome. The video quality is superb and the audio just kills.There is a lot more to this than just a great concert. Stop reading and just put it in the cart. You will not be disappointed.

This movie shows that there still is talent out there in the music world and Metallica raised the bar on movies. this is not just another concert movie but a movie about a band during a concert and on of their roadies. Great Buy or should i say a Best Buy!! LOL

Great 3D that makes you feel you are sitting in the crowd. Great sound if you have your TV hook up to surround sound. Must have for any Metallica fan for the music rocks along with the movie within the concert.
