Professionals but sales minded So they try a little too hard to sell you magnolia which in my opinion is over hyped

I scheduled appointment with Geek Squad to determine my audio/video needs. They showed up as scheduled, were professional & seemed knowledgeable. The problem - they NEVER followed up. They assessed my needs & advised they would write up a proposal/plan with estimates for costs. I never received an email, phone call - nothing. Wasted my time. Very disappointing.

It has been awhile since I have shopped for an upper end home theater system. So, I was excited to see what was out there. The rep (Grant) was on time and we quickly got right in to the consultation. He took a look at the area that I planned to used and asked me lots of questions to get a good feel for what I was initially looking for. He thoroughly went through all kinds of options and made lots of suggestions as I kept guiding him towards exactly what I was wanting out of the system. I am very glad that I made this appointment and I can't wait to get the theater installed! Thanks Grant!

Having Best Buy come out and do a consultation before we upgraded to a new TV, new receiver, new dvd player was extremely helpful. He had great ideas on how and where TV should be mounted, gave us great information on other items we should consider and why (cables, etc). He helped us compare DVD player vs. new Xbox. Overall, we are extremely glad we had this consultation before we made such large purchases. They will be handling all the installation and helped us feel reassured in our decision to use Best Buy.

Store Magnolia staff thought Geek visit would help, Consultant was accommodating but pretty much skipped over how to make intercom equipment work with wireless speakers which was pretty much the point. Also glossed over choices and recommended brand I wanted to avoid..

I can't write a review for Best Buy consultation services, because the system will not even allow you to schedule an appointment, This is true of going to their own staff to do it (in-store, online and on the phone). I have never witnessed such a poor organization. if you take my experience, and multiple that by 1,000 people, BB stands to lose millions of dollars in the process and all they have to do is fix their software. The fact that they cannot even do that simple software repair, questions you about the entire expertise claim they make.

The geek squad came out on time and did a great job of the installation of my media room! Went over option when minor things popped up! Where to put speakers, line up the projector, and best position of the projector board. When the geek squad was done went over how to operate the systems and left his business card for me to call if I had any questions!

I was hoping for a true consultation, but the report consisted of high cost products with no thought into the space, my requirements, or my budget. Also, no follow up after.

We had a Geek Squad visit to out home but they never followed up with the email as far as suggestions. I even called but he never returned my call.

Professional, however was more interested in doing the job of mounting tv by just trying to do it fast and easy. Since we had to get an electrician anyway (BB does not provide or contract) I did everything myself and ensured I got exactly what I wanted. They were not interested in running speaker wire for surround sound. If you are looking for something simple, this may be for you

Could be better priced with more benefits to the customer.

I had a Magnolia rep come to my house to map everything out. This service is basically credited to your overall purchase so think of it as a deposit. A must for any large theater setup.

Had an appt for a consultant to help us with our media room sound system. They never showed , nor called. We budgeted and were ready to hear what they had to say but , nothing. When we called to see why they were a no show, no one had answers. We decided to use some one else.

The Geek Squad came to my house and went over all aspects of Sonos speaker set up and theater setup. The advice I received was expert and helped me improve my set up.

I asked for an in-home consult from the store in West Miami on installation of a projection television system. They came out and measured but never followed up. I did the calculations with Epson directly and all is well. Best buy was no help.

Guy cane to give the estimation for our hometeatre consultation and told that he will send the quote and after 4 days and two messages and calls he replied with quote but that quote doesn’t have much details and not even detail pricing

We feel we may be in over our head with this new smart tv but thanks to the geek squad we feel we have made the right decision

Looking forward to hearing back from the team regarding set up and install and some really great systems--- Can't wait---
