This headset is a perfect lightweight affordable headset. I like how it fits and how it only covers one ear.

Was looming for the most simple "Chat headset" that would allow me to enjoy gameplay through my Home theater, yet hear only conversations through headset. Did not want full headphone to cover both ears, and i dont mind it being wired.

The headset is compatible with my Xbox controller. I wouldn’t expect to hear things too clearly since it’s one ear but for the price it gets the job done. Used them for COD.

Headphones are essential accessories for music lovers and anyone who enjoys listening to audio content. They provide a more immersive and personal audio experience compared to speakers. Here are some aspects to consider when reviewing headphones:
1. Sound Quality: The most important aspect of any headphones is their sound quality. Look for headphones that offer a balanced and accurate audio reproduction, with clear highs, detailed mids, and deep, well-defined bass.
2. Comfort: Comfort is crucial, especially if you plan to wear the headphones for extended periods. Consider the weight, padding, and adjustability of the headphones. Over-ear headphones generally provide better comfort than on-ear or in-ear models.
3. Build Quality: The build quality of headphones affects their durability and longevity. Look for headphones made from high-quality materials that feel sturdy and well-constructed. Pay attention to the hinges, cables, and overall design.
4. Noise Isolation/Cancellation: If you often use headphones in noisy environments, consider models with good noise isolation or active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. Noise isolation blocks out external sounds passively, while ANC actively cancels out ambient noise.
5. Connectivity: Check the connectivity options of the headphones. Wired headphones offer a reliable connection and often provide better sound quality, while wireless headphones provide more freedom of movement. Wireless headphones should support the latest Bluetooth standards for better audio quality and battery life.

OK Headset

This headset works well, but it is kind of cheaply built. The breaks very easily. I'm on my third one from either the cord snapping or the microphone piece snapping off. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a headset this is good, but if you're willing to spend money there are way better headsets out there.

It's basic in a good way and gets the job done. Surprisingly very well crystal clear communication with his headset. I buy one about every 2 years due to me normally dropping it which one drop can ruin it due to a weak wiring connection in the cord but with the warranty it's perfect for someone not needing it to be there product for hearing the actual game play or music.

Great Wired Mic

This is almost in similarity with the 360's wired mic look, but the voices are much more clearer, more sensitive to almost anything going around you or your house. I have to sometimes control myself from breathing near the mic because it'll be picked. Assuming because it does not have a noise reducer thing on the end of the mic versus the 360 one. I have not had any issues so far with it and I have owned it for quite a few months now. For the price; it's definitely of more better quality compared to the 360 mic. Though, $24.99 is still a little pricey, I do wish it was around just $20. Overall, I do recommend it and it's worth the price, especially if you don't want to pay out a steep amount of money for an Xbox One mic.

Although this is the basic starter mic, I still think its a good value. It may not offer all the bells and whistles of the third party Headset and mics, but its light, unobtrusive and a fraction of the cost, yet gets the job done. I got it as a replacement for the original which lasted about 18 months of constant daily use by two people. We never abused it and are careful with our stuff, but considering how many hours were logged on the old mic it was a good value.

Great Sound, But Flimsy

I am a heavy gamer, and own multiple headsets. I always end up defaulting to this headset, since it doesn't take up a lot of space and is convenient to just grab and plug into the controller. I always have 7.1 atmos surround sound, and I like to take advantage of that as much as possible, and a dual ear headset just doesn't have the same sound profile as full room sound.
The chat clarity is fantastic on this headset. It's amazing that these sound so good, especially compared to the PS4 chat headsets. I know its two different consoles, but even the PS4 Gold headsets sound about 1/4 the bitrate of these. It's very noticeable on Fortnite with crossplay. I have not ran into a PS4 person with chat quality anywhere near these stock headsets.
I'm giving 4 stars because these are really flimsy, and sometimes are broken right out of the box. There are multiple breaking points. I've had the 3.5mm pin, the wire connecting to the dongle, the wire connecting to the headset all become faulty on multiple sets of these headphones. Still, they are a great value and the best bang for your buck if you're looking for chat only.

The Chat Headset for Xbox One allows you to hear both friends and foes in clear digital audio. Adjust the mute and volume settings without taking your hands off the controller to customize the audio to your preference. This headset plugs directly into your Xbox One wireless controller and functions without the need for batteries, so you can start chatting immediately.

It’s a decent product for the price, though for me FAR too easy to forget you have yourself on mute or to accidentally mute yourself. The wire can get annoying when you have pets that like to get in your lap, but honestly that’s saying nothing regarding the product itself. When you need a backup, this is definitely the product to use! Don’t have to worry about wearing full headphones, easy to hear your party with … There’s no issue with the product itself, it just depends on your preferences and what you intend to use the headset for ultimately.

My ears sweat from long periods of wearing an over ear headset. So this headset is a welcome change. Sound is pretty good. Be careful though its very fragile. Which is why I bought an extended warranty with it. Id recommend this headset if you dont like ear buds and want your ears to breath lol

If you only need a headset at a affordable price, this headset would work perfectly. I use it to chat with friends while playing and can hear them clearly. I like it only hearing from one ear because I can hear the game using my tv surround system.

Keeping in mind, this is the STANDARD headset for the Xbox One, I can honestly say it's a vast improvement over the flimsy Xbox 360 Chat Headset. If feels solid, and modern. They have gone back to the "puck" style connection originally associated with the old Xbox 360 Chat Headset. But it works well as all volume and mute controls are within thumb's reach. Voice clarity is a vast improvement. I only have two small complaints. 1. I've already gone through two. The first two, people weren't able to hear me. This might be cause I have had little ones tugging on the cords, so keep that in mind parents. 2. Though the voice clarity is great, the mic tends to be a bit too sensitive. Heavy breathers beware! Also, background noise seems to bleed in to well. Music listeners might have to mute their mic more than they did compared to the Xbox 360 Chat Headset.

They're light and they work, but the thin-ness makes them a bit vulnerable. They creak, too, if you move your head. The cool thing about them is that they are designed with the frame rotating in a curved basin on the earpiece, which makes them more comfortable because it will conform a bit to the shape of your ear and head. However, if you move around you hear that basin creak right in your ear and it's rather annoying. You get used to it after a while but it seems like such an obvious design flaw that Microsoft should've addressed. I'll probably buy a nicer one once they start releasing a bunch of them, I think a couple are out but I haven't had the occasion to buy one. Ultimately I'd rather have the audio come from the screen and a lot of headsets are designed to have the whole thing right in your ears, not what I'm looking for.

My dog chewed my xb1 headset so I needed a replacement. This is a cheap functional headset with very good audio and microphone. It's also lightweight and doesn't suck up a lot of the controller battery. Very satisfied!
