I’ve had and used other controllers that have extra paddles, button mapping etc, etc, but this is actually special. Tge in depth settings and tuning you can do with it are kinda countless. A couple of them being able to set the trigger deadzones without using the trigger stops, the extra tension you can add to the joysticks, and way more than i can manage to type here. I was hesitant on the purchase because of the price tag as well, but it’s a purchase I haven’t cone to regret unlike others I’ve made in the past.

This joystick defiently is better than the regular xbox joystick. I am not a heavy gamer, I game once everyother day for one hour or two. And Ive actually seen my self progress through out the games I play. It gives you advantage and makes you rely on those extra buttons. I cant game with any regular joystick now. And after 6 month of owning it, I started encountering slight stick drift. And after a month complete stick drift. Now its unusable, so be mindful to get Insurance.

It's a great controller and love that they have multiple colors for it . Being able to adjust the triggers can easily help you take your opponent out first in pvp FPS games .

TL;DR
You will go through multiple controllers because of abysmal quality control unless you are extremely lucky. Would be an incredible controller if it actually didn’t have such issues. Don’t waste your time or money, it isn’t worth it in the long run.
While I bought the original Elite controller and purchased the Series 2 soon after release, about a year in I noticed there was an issue with the A button which would occasionally double register, completely stop registering at all. This obviously is a huge issue. I had several issues with the original Series controllers so I figured this one would be better. I was wrong after receiving the first replacement. It was okay for the little bit I tested it, except a crack in the Xbox Home button which could cut a finger. So I returned it for a replacement as soon as I could get back up to the store. I received the replacement today, one of the only ones left in the store and was a ecstatic to be able to play some of my favorite FPS again on a controller that doesn’t hurt my hands as much as my PS5 controllers do. About 10 minutes into a match of Halo Infinite to test it out, it became apparent that I could not press in the left thumb stick while at any other angle besides up, down, left, & right. My previous Elite Series 2 never had this issue, so I contacted technical support at Microsoft who deal with controller related issues. I was told to return it immediately as it is defective. I noticed my Series X/S controllers also do not have this issue, just a side note. As someone who has to drive a distance to even reach my local Best Buy and also pay tolls to get across bridges, this is infuriating at the lack of quality control that Microsoft offers on their products. I’ve owned several Xbox controllers dating back to the Duke (the original Xbox controller), and besides the original Elite controller have I seen quality control so shoddy. They should fire whomever engineered these controllers, along with the engineer and product designer for the wireless headset (the mic will always break off after time due to poor placement of a screw and soft plastic that bends till it breaks if you ever press the mute button or god forbid move the boom mic in a different position). I love to support all hardware companies, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, even Valve. But this is a product that I can not recommend if my life depended on it. If you are fortunate enough to receive one in perfect condition, count your blessings. Because after this ordeal, I doubt I will buy any more “Elite” Xbox products, having sunken $420 into their 2 TB SSD, 1 TB SSD, 3 regular controllers, a Series X & S, and another headset after the first one’s mic fell off 3 months after buying it and was told by Microsoft that it’s common but there is nothing they can do. Steer clear of this unless you have the time and means to keep trying if you receive lemons like I and many others have.

Best Buy offered the best deal I could find for the Elite 2 controller. I appreciate its heavier and more durable feel compared to the regular controller. The attempt to fix the grip issue and the switch to USB-C are also positives. However, it would be even better with hall effect or a similar feature to prevent stick drift. It's worth noting that these controllers came out before hall effect joysticks became more common. Perhaps this is something they will consider for the Elite 3 design improvements.

This is the core elite 2 controller, so it does not come with the paddles or the extra analog sticks, but you can use paddles and sticks from other elite 2 controllers. It does, however, come with the key to adjust the sticks’ tension. Overall, the controller works well, but I would recommend getting the service protection plan. Microsoft only covers their controllers for 30 days.

I’ve been using elite controllers for years! Just wanted a different color and this works just as well! Very durable and lasts me longer than any scuff controller.

One of the best controllers for the Xbox series. Once you adjust the controller to what you like, you will feel a great difference in most of your games.

This control will last me for a week without charging it. I see a lot of people get stick drift but i have not experienced that at all yet. (Had it for 5 minths now) I did get thr 2 year geek squad protection just in case but so far amazing control. Kight need to break it in first because its stiff but eventually it gets better and better

After having used the Xbox Elite 2 Controller for about 1 month at this point, I can say that so far it lives up to the hype. Originally, I used to ONLY buy/use Scuf controllers and assumed the build quality and most-common issues would be similar. i was completely wrong. Nothing on this controller feels too loose, tight, or anything other then a premium feel and construction. Im sure this controller will eventually get stick drift too, but at 2/3rds the price as a scuf controller, if it makes it 3-6 months and maintains its responsiveness and sounds structural feel, it will be an easy choice. My only complaint is that the battery isn’t removable and it doesnt look like it supports wireless charging.

Cant go wrong best pro controller for xbox just gotta get lucky with the stick drift issue i have had 2 of these with no issues for over 6 months so far so good but I have heard of a lot of issues with stick drift guess its just a lottery but overall solid controller 10 out of 10 paddles are perfect battery life is excellent and theres so many options to customize the sticks and what not if you look online with places like amazon theres a lot of third party options

I love it works great for every game I want to play it feels great in my hands I don't have to stress out I can just not have to deal with what you normally have to deal with with a regular controller this control is unique it has its own personal customization feature to it so I would definitely get this and I know it's 180 bucks but it's worth it

The controller has 3 different trigger settings which is cool and a pretty good battery life. I sometimes forget I have to charge the controller. Haha. I like it better than my previous controllers so I give it a 5/5.

After doing my research, the only thing I am curious about this controller is durability. Seems like many have had to replace a few. I treat my stuff pretty good but besides that, I am loving every bit of this controller.
The feel is like no other controller. I was using a regular Xbox One S controller for the past two years and never thought the Elite model would actually be that much better. Boy, I was wrong.
Hands down my favorite Xbox and PC controller moving forward. Let's hope these reviewers are just mistreating their controllers one way or another.
