High quality build, lightweight and flexible. Powerful enough for my office work, I have it hooked into a Surface Dock with 2 monitors and a wireless keyboard. Recommend.

Apart from having a good configuration with excellent speed, the tablet feature makes it more exciting to buy. The best part is u can charge the tablet separately as well.

This is a great system. Converting into tablet is seamless. If you want basic functions such as Excel email, surfing, etc. this unit does great and is easily convertible.

This is a great device and it was perfect for me, the touch screen pen and the ability to switch to tablet mode makes creating art and drawing so smooth and easy!

Small and light but powerful. Love the surface pen and resizing the touch screen makes reading much easier. Haven't done much with it as a tablet.

Works great for my college student. Was looking for a laptop that fit in a backpack, had enough memory, built in Microsoft Office, good screen for video and streaming and detachable for use as a tablet was nice. We did discover that there is no Ethernet port so wireless internet is the only way to connect unless you get a docking station. If internet connection is weak, doing online classes could be a problem. This hasn't been an issue, but those with weak wireless internet should consider before buying.

I got this for $1199 for the grads/fathers sale. I had just purchased the seventh gen i5 version a week prior to the sale, but I was more than happy to return it and upgrade to this. I am a PhD student, so for me this is perfect because I type a lot, and read and markup a lot of PDFs. For most other people, the surface pro 6 would be the better option because it is the better value. I will follow up with a more long term review.

Fast computer. Easy to setup and use on day one. Great for multitasking and large file sizes. But also great for marketing and design.

Purchased this for a business where it is necessary to take a picture of the item that needs to be serviced as well as keeping a library for future service on similar item. It's great that a picture can be taken right into the laptop instead of having to transfer from my phone. The storage is topnotch as well. Ease of use is commendable. Plus it covers the usual computer essentials. Just what was needed.

The surface book 2 i5 has been a great laptop since purchasing. The battery life is fairly good and is able to last nearly my wife's entire work day while using it, though she does charge it when docked at her desk. I did find the performance a little lacking doing anything with more complicated graphics or gaming, so I upgraded her to the i7 version of the surface book 2 which has the dedicated graphics card and a little more horsepower in the cpu department as well. If able to make the same upgrade I would recommend it... I also looked at similar laptops from Dell and Lenovo (for ordering for users at work I went with the Dell latitude option... Which is the best price vs performance and features in my opinion, but not as nice looking as the Surface series.

I absolutely love this laptop! I was originally interested in getting a surface pro but the sales team convinced me to buy the surface book 2. Best decision I’ve ever made. The tablet detaches from the keyboard, which makes drawing super easy. I can flip the screen easily to watch Netflix. I did cringe a little when I saw the final price but I think this has been worth every single penny. If you are looking to buy a surface device I would highly recommend this one!

I have always owned desktops or powerhouse laptops that weigh a ton. I needed a smaller, portable laptop that had good internals and a good battery. Being able to detach the screen and write on it was a bonus. This laptop checked off every box on my list AND it's enjoyable to type on, awesome front-facing webcam, and the connectivity for WiFi, bluetooth, and peripherals has been great. I will definitely be looking at the Surface Book 3 when it comes out.

Perfect computer for on the go and especially for college students to bring to classes. Lightweight. Long battery life

This is the 2nd Surface I've owned . I only had to replace my first ,due to an unfortunate accident that didn't allow the 1st pc to be repaired. It's a top quality product. I like the 2 in 1 function as it easily supports both business and personal usage . I often work remotely and travel for business , and the light portability is convenient and gig and memory prefect for business and personal needs!

I really like the surfacebook 2 battery life is good colors are great haven't had any problems with it runs very smooth

I use it as a student and does the job perfectly. Extremely easy and useful to switch between tablet and laptop mode
