Would have been 5 stars if I hadn't have had to spend an entire day on updating the machine just so that I could load Microsoft office. Sad to think a brand new machine would need that many updates...just saying. My husband wanted something lighter that what he was carrying in his briefcase for travel. Mission accomplished.

This is changing the way we look at computers. In a world overwhelmed with tablets, the Surface brings you the best of both worlds. While it's taking me awhile to adjust to the size of the "tablet" portion of this computer, the speed, quality and ease of use outperform anything I've used in the past. Windows is quickly becoming as user-friendly as that "fruity" product people have loved for years. Only downside I can mention at the time is there should probably be an update on the touch sensitivity in some applications. However, there are constant updates (that don't require more than five minutes). Overall, totally pleased.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Surface Book Pro as I am typically a "Mac" person ... but Wow! The portability and usability of this device is awesome and the person I purchased it for (mobile worker) absolutely loves this device.

I bought the Windows Surface about two months ago and am pretty happy with it so far. It's a nice design, is fast, and handy for traveling. The only issue is that it sometimes doesn't shut down properly or doesn't want to turn on. But overall a great product.

I love my new Microsoft book. I used it to upgrade from an old leveno tablet that I had. The speed Clarity and good construction made this a unit that I couldn't wait to get despite the slightly higher price than I wanted to pay. I use it daily In both my home and office work.

I recommend this Laptop to anyone looking for a slim, touch-screen Laptop. It is lightweight and the screen snaps off easily. I haven't had any problems and the battery life is amazing. The resolution is great too.

I was in need of a laptop to do just your basic things such as taxes, save documents ect. It's probably more than I needed in a laptop for lack of real use of it, but couldn't be happier. Have bought 2 different surface pros for my stepdaughters that were heading off to college and they love(d) them, so that helped me decide on my decision to stay with the surface. My one stepdaughter just purchased the new surface, bc her old first generation was dying and getting outdated, and due to her furthering her nursing degree she needed it and stayed with a surface series. It is quick, reliable. I love the fact that it is touchscreen, and the screen can even be detached, and used as a tablet.

I love this surface book, you get the benefit of a laptop and tablet in one! It's super sleek and well constructed. Definitely something to show off. I love the pen which is super advanced and the keyboard feels so good!

All the reviews of this product are correct. This is the ultimate laptop, lightweight, fast processor, enough RAM for most anything. Turns into a tablet with the press of a button and the pen works better than expected.

Surface Book has plenty of capacity and speed. Versatile to use as a laptop or in tablet mode. Charging block is very light, so packing for travel is not burdensome. The port replicator is also small and light.

I purchased the Surface Book to replace an old iPad and a Laptop. They were both about 5 years old. The Surface Book is way faster. It does a good job replacing the laptop, but not the iPad so much. You can download all kinds of apps, but it is not really necessary, since it is more like a laptop. I LOVE the pen and drawing on the touch screen. I am mostly using it like a laptop. when i sketch I flip the screen around and then reconnect the screen to the keyboard to get the full benefit of both batteries. I have only had it for about a month so far so i am still learning.

Great laptop and very versatile. Long life battery

I had an Apple MacBook Pro Retina for several years and thought that I'd replace it with a Surface Book. Since I'm primarily a Windows user so there is not much of a transition at all. The surface book is smaller, lighter and faster and the display is just as good or better as the Apple's Retina screen. The only complain I have is pretty common. ie. The PC would not wake up after it has gone to sleep most of the time. This is something Microsoft would not admit it as a problem, but needs to fix. Many others had reported similar issues. If you don't have to buy it now, then wait for the next iteration of the Surface Book.

I love my surface! I've had it for about a month now and think it is the best quality laptop I've ever owned. It has a beautiful display, and a good keyboard layout. I really like the pen and use it a lot more than I expected. The clicker can be programmed for different functions and lets me quickly take a screen shot, then I can write notes on it. I've disconnected the screen to go into tablet mode and can use it like a whiteboard with that pen! Battery life is about 6-8 hours of continuous work with a fairly bright screen and 6-10 business apps open. It reboots fast. Oh, and I can log in with facial recognition with is really slick and faster than typing my password.

I never give 5 stars....theres always room for improvement. But this is a great system. Fast start ups then a to the SSD....and nice features for both laptop and especially tablet. A little buyers remorse over the pricing....but it quickly went away when I got it home and started using it. Super versatile and easy to use.

I've researched and compared this laptop to the Macs..I've questioned hard core Apple lovers....on everything..battery life..ease of use...programs..apps..aesthetics....portability..I even had a die hard Mac user go to the Microsoft store with me. He was impressed. I was sold. I love the ease of switching between tablet and laptop. I'm a mom..student...and family researcher. I found no issues with battery life. I'm able to use all the programs and apps without any issues. My children use it for school and entertainment ...watching movies..playing light games...listening to music and streaming videos.. Great purchase. I'm pleased. I would like an improved back light on the keys..could use more of a contrasting color. No real issues at this point...

I completely love my Surface. I recently switched from a MacBook to a surface and i couldn't be any happier. The touch screen works great and is super efficient during class for notes. Say goodbye to notebooks. Defently recomend this product.

I purchased this computer for my OP as we have a BYOD program at my company. She wanted to stay on a PC. I went to a Mac. I love my Mac! As far as PC's go this is one of the best. It still does some of the annoying things a typical PC does, as an example you need to shut down a PC every few days just to reset the computer to function right. This still happens on the Surface Book. Other minor typical minor issues still occurr on the Surface. Overall she is very happy with the Surface and it's quick and can handle multi tasking well. As part of a virtual machine it plays nice with the VM. I would recommend this to a person who wants to be on a PC. It's one of the best PC's I've used. There is a lot of garbage PC's on the market. I've owned several of those. This is about as good as a PC gets. Well worth the price
