With an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and dedicated Nvidia card, this system is perfect for me. Only issues (minor ones) with some programs that do not support HiDPI resolution. The Surface resolution is recommended at 3000x2000 which makes some apps tiny because they don't scale properly. But this is a minor issue. I love everything else.

I got this computer because the touchscreen allows it to be used to easily browse the web and then it has the power to get work done when I need it to. I could not be more pleased with its performance to this point. The display is absolutely gorgeous and the pen works very well. It will play the most popular video games and then turn around and run Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom very smoothly. Desktop power in a portable package.

i bought this unit and the keyboard stopped working three days in. Brought it to the store and the Geek Squad tech said it was some type of hardware issue and they ordered me a new unit right away. Been using the second unit for the last two weeks with no problems, but I suggest purchasing the extended geek squad warranty just in case.

I absolutely love this laptop! Its everything that I wanted in a laptop. I was stuck on whether to get a MAC book, but i did a lot of research and found that I would have more usage out of this laptop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

If you are in the market for a higher market laptop of the future then this is the way to go. Amazing in every aspect! I debated between this and the newest MacBook but decided on this mainly because it offered higher memory and processor, as well as that awesome touch screen feature. A great buy if you have the money for it. I got it for school and haven't regretted it since.

This purchase was meant to replace an aging Lenovo laptop. I did a lot of research between the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. In the end, I decided the larger screen, additional battery, and dedicated GPU were for me. The SB handles business perfectly and can even run some of my favorite games.

This is the first PC I've had that lived up and surpassed my MacBook in quality and performance!!

I've had my SurfaceBook for about a month now and I can saw that I am so far pleased. I've used it for normal computing and video editing and I've been pleased with the overall performance. I have to say that I really like the ability to separate the screen and take with me to use as a tablet. It's a bit large as a tablet but still it's a nice feature. The build quality is excellent and it feels very solid.

The Surface book is everything they said and more. With the release of windows 10, I think Microsoft has the best laptop/tablet available. The gaming gfx are great to if you get the one with the Nvidia video card. GFX better then current gen console 1080p 60fps

It is a great laptop. It is built well and has Windows 10 Pro as standard. The processor is fast. The battery life is not as advertised at 12 hours. It gets considerably less at about 6 hours. It is a little heavier and costs a lot more than many other similar featured laptops and 2 in 1 units. hen disconnected, the tablet portion has only a 2 hours utilization time. This should be longer. The keypads are lighter colored and is difficult to see in the daytime when the keyboard is lit up. It is hard to see white on silver keys. It should have more contrast.

I got this almost as soon as it became available, so it's natural that I got to live through lots and lots of patches and updates. It's getting closer to right, but the display and docking/undocking are still a bit wonky. It just doesn't seem to be aware of which monitor you're using, so when using an external monitor then going back to laptop or tablet mode, you get to be surprised by which resolution it decides to use. Perfomance and battery life is good, and it is a viable desktop/laptop replacement. I use it for everything from casual web surfing to heavy spreadsheets to engineering drawing to gaming. It handles all the modern games I put on it. There's some backwards compatibility issues with older games. Overall, it's good. It looses one star for having wonky portability issues (docking and undocking with screen resolutions) and the high price.

This laptop has a beautiful look and the specs are a dream come true. At least that's why I decided to give it a shot. I need a tablet that can handle Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom during my travels with a good battery life. I boarded a 5.5 hour flight to California with this machine after charging it all night the night before and disappointingly it was bone dry before we landed. The pen action was not as smooth as the one I've tried with the apple pro (though the apple pro does not handle Photoshop the full software). The pen lag disappointed me. For a machine with 16gb Ram and 512 SSD drive I expected a lot more functionality especially when I paid $3,000 for it.

Loved it out of the box and 2 weeks later it froze. Took it to Geek Squad, they could not revive, declared it faulty and exchanged on the spot. Could not be happier with this purchase. It is great as a laptop replacement and with a docking station easily replaces desktop. Disengage screen from keyboard and it is the perfect tablet. Great purchase, worth the wait ant the cost.

I looked at this computer for several months before making the purchase. I wanted to see what people were saying about it before spending the money. I had a first gen Surface Pro and loved it so knew this product would be great as well. Great quality, speed and lightweight. Expensive but worth the money.

Powerful computer, perfect for my needs. I've only gotten to use the basic area's because I'm trying to get used to Windows 10 but I love the detachable screen, the weight, the mouse, and how quick it is to load. It doesn't have as many apps to choose from but that will only be a matter of time I'm sure.

Price is a little high for the average user but has all the features you need to runderstand advanced apps

I love it. The extra pricey stylus I purchased works better than the one that comes with it which I discovered when I misplaced the magnetic one that came with it....magnet didn't hold.. It stalls out and so far can be reset by holding down the on button at the top for 30 full seconds. Once I had to do that and then hold both buttons down at the top. Hope they are finding a fix for it. So far that is but a nuisance but you need to know what to do!

Computer is very fast and the build is perfect. However, there are some issues that make the computer difficult to use. 1. Very little software is able to scale to the computer's recommended screen resolution. Even some of Microsoft's newest software. 2. The detachable screen is great and it usually will go into detachable mode with a touch of the button. Sometimes it will not enter this mode because of some Microsoft system software so I need to either restart the computer or enter task manager to stop the software that is preventing the detachment. 3. The keys in the keyboard should be black instead of silver so that there is allows a contrast between the color letter on the color key of the key as the level of illumination is adjusted.
